Since the adoptions take place (at least for me) on the 31st, which is my birthday, these felt like an exceptionally nice gift. Especially since phoenixes are a very personal myth for me. I've been in love with them since I can remember, and have often used the description "From ashes, fire!" to remind myself that we are sometimes burned to the ground by what life gives is, but we can rise, resplendent. Thanks for the accidental birthday gift. <3

And when people were speculating about the staff pet colors, I kept hoping for black, white, and red, like Chinese laquer- These ponies gave me that. I am hoping for some stunning geometrics.

I am really intrigued by the fox kit/puppies. I think Pluma showed last month that we can expect some really good art with these. I love the idea of them being based on various royal dogs, though I have to admit, the crown shape looks like a maple leaf to me.

The chickens for this month do look like they have the feather eye of a peafowl in them to me, though with those colors, they could be birds of paradise (I've been hoping for BoP's for a long time.

Moss Kittens! Now, I want a moss kitten in real life.

And of course, the Bwolves! Fall leaf, cute smile...I can't wait.

I agree with teh Jumping Jack faction on the horses. What a neat idea! That's the kind of crativity that keeps me coming back to CS.

All in all, CS had the perfect birthday gift for me.

I'm gonna laugh so hard if the embryo turns out to just be a decoration on the egg, omg.

also, anyone missing this egg and is having trouble getting one, you can PM me, I got an extra. I might get a lot of PM's and I can't duplicate it so i'm sorry if it goes to someone else !
I'm all for hoarding, as I myself am a hoarder, but in this case i'd prefer people who missed the outcome to get it, sorry about that.

I freaked out thinking that green egg was a 2nd gen I missed... and then I realized I forgot to adopt from the hatchery *facepalm*

The Embryo theory is a good one in my opinion, but I think it looks like a little dragon. So maybe dragon chickens?

Actually, second-gens very rarely split. I think it's only happened a couple times before, if at all.

Seriously, though, the chickens look amazing! The parents are a blue phoenix and a galaxy. I have high hopes for them.


As for the cats, they look like moss to me.
