She held back a swipe of furry at the apprentice who had butted into their conversation, the apprentices kept getting ruder and ruder. So when she did shut up and take the crow food, the hellion slammed her hindquarter with a quick ped. Luckily her talons were sheathed, otherwise that blow would have been one of the most painful things she would experience in her life. With a bout of thunder she turned her cranium back to the leader. With the rather violent thrashing of her tassel she spoke quietly, almost in a murmur, ❝ I'm worried because shes still training with them, she wakes up sore with lust in her optics. ❞ She noted before adding , ❝ I bet she will have issues with the kits. ❞ Copperwhisker felt this way because once you enter, you cannot leave. She had only experienced these evil cats once, but was lucky enough to evade their wrath.

She knew everyone was right, yet she didn't want them to be. Mid thought a pain spread over her abdomen to her platform. The pain was so great she collapsed, the only noise that escaped her jowls was a shriek. Then, a fowl stench came over her, and a familiar voice spoke in her ear, ❝ You tried to escape us, and now you will pay for it! ❞ Then it hit her, she would never escape. The thought of bringing up kits to kill and be heartless seemed strangely appealing to her, yet she knew her mate would never allow it. However she didn't have time to think about this any further, the pain paralyzing her frame.

Larkstar nodded. "I had hoped she was getting better about avoiding that place, but it seems I have failed to help her. Rest assured, I won't let her kits be tempted to the same fate. They'll have Volefoot's heart as well as Crookedsong's strength. They can survive without the aid of the Dark Forest, I'm sure." She shuffled her paws again, uneasy despite the calm morning. "I feel something dark on the horizon. Our clan is finally peaceful, yet I fear more turmoil is coming. I only pray that I'm wrong, but Starclan continues to send me strange dreams."

Burnpaw purred in amusement. "Sometimes I think it would be fun to be deputy. But being a medicine cat interests me, too." she admitted. "As much as I love hunting and fighting, I also wish to heal." she scooped her paw into the water and caught one last fish. "We should take these back," she said as she took her prey in her jaws. "We won't be able to carry much more, and the clan is probably hungry."

Volefoot stood over his mate anxiously, his eyes widening for just a moment before he went into action. "Something's wrong, don't move," he told her in a calm yet authoritative tone. He looked at Flamepelt quickly. "I'll stay with Crookedsong. I need you to run back to camp and fetch help, preferably the medicine cat. If not, then get Copperwhisker." Looking to Crookedsong again, he crouched beside her. "Is it the kits?" he asked softly. "Do you want us to take you back?" he shook his head before she could answer. "No, best not to move. Just take a deep breath, Crookedsong. I won't let anything happen to you or our kits."
