Story: Zess once was some kind of war or better to say a working horse for miliary tasks. He never was at the frontline but still experienced some traumatic disorders. Mines and bombs had exploded next to him... once he was shot in his chest what barely took his life, when there wouldn't had been that skilled vet on the battlefield. At this time he was a very young stallion. After the war i bought him from a Crowntail seller on a daily market, not knowing what he has been gone through. Very fast is doscovered that he is very shy and agressive in front of strangers and other animals. Also his own species os danger and unknown to him. My friend suggested that i should seperate him from the others and let him be for a few weeks. Just feeding and cleaning so that he can calm himself in his new surrounding. After those weeks we started to train everything that we would train with a newborn foal. New items, special sounds, touching and finally other Crowntails. How sad would it be if he would never be able to interact with others from his kind?
Everything did quite well just loud noises and other creatures triggered his behavior and the whole training was nearly without success. My girls Asari and Sapphire always looked for him just my boy Cinnamon wasn't really happy about having a new stallion on his territory. I had o seperate them so that they didn't see each other the whole time. Stress would influence the training success and that wouldn't be in my intensions.
I'm still in training with him and i think he makes progress but there is still so much to do...
Extra: I called him Zess because he hadn’t any name before. The only thing he knows was war, destruction and betrayal. His owner before me had given him a name, but left him on the battlefield after he got to know that they would lose the fight. His owner betrayed him and let him survive on his own.That man died at the try to escape from the battlefield. He was the only one who knew who Zess was and how his name was.
Just betrayal knows his name.
