Sunnygaze heard pawsteps, and looked towards the woods. She stepped away from Petalpaw and the goldenrod, surprised to see Amberstar emerge from the trees.

"Hi there!" Sunnygaze said brightly, trotting over. "We're just about finished here. Did you want to observe?"

"I was worried about Ravenclaw," he answered. "And I had no way to know you wouldn't attack. I stand by my actions. I'm sorry if I've upset you." He stopped following her, and turned away, trotting back towards camp.

Batpaw nodded to Sunnygaze's words, hesitating just a second. Turning, he padded off, finding the goldenrod. Lowering his long yet petite frame to the ground, he ran his nose along the stem until he felt it go harder. Biting, he cleanly began to slice it, before moving to the next stalk. After about three stalks, it occurred to him Sunnygaze hadn't told them the amount. Goldenrod doesn't go stale for moons if wrapped properly - I'll collect a bit more. Taking his time, the ebony tom cleanly slit the rest, although a bit of disgust greeted him. He knew he was taking a bit long because of his blindness, not to mention the taste of the plant was rather bitter.

Regardless, gather the half a dozen stalks he'd amassed, Batpaw began to slowly pad back, taking care not to step on anything, not to mention there was no reason to rush back. He was already a bit late. Upon arriving, Batpaw dropped the six stalks and sat quietly, wondering if he'd be chided now or later for it - or perhaps be written off for it. Next time, I should move faster - but I have never been to these fields, nor was I given the most detailed of instructions. Perhaps that was part of the test, or Sunnygaze will explain later...

Sending a dismissive flick of my tail in Silverclaw's direction, i ignored his words and instead sent a warm smile Sunnygaze's way. "Petalpaw, Batpaw." I murmured, running my tail softly down Batpaw's spine and dipping my head to Petalpaw. Removing my tail from the blind cat's flank, i turned my attention onto the goldenrod at his paws. "Wonderful, Batpaw. This should last the clan a long time.." Looking at Petalpaw's goldenrod, i flicked my tail. "Quality goldenrod, Petalpaw. Nice choice." Leaving the apprentinces' sides, i padded over to Sunnygaze and sat, curling my tail around my paws, the tension from earlier still stiffening my movements. "Of course i would like to observe, i was just wondering on my way here if i could talk to you for a moment first." I mewed, looking at my friend with troubled honey eyes.

the brown tom silently lay in the warrior's den, his tail curled, tightly around his muscular build. rumbleclaw's golden eyes opened, stepping out of the den, stretching his limbs out, his lips parting in a yawn. as he looked around, his eyes landed on the fresh-kill pile. he huffed, noticing it was a bit short on prey. his ears were up tall, trying to see if anyone was going to set out on a hunting patrol. rumbleclaw flicked his long, brown tail.

dewpaw lightly sighed as her friends walked off to train. she knew the training was important for them to be chosen to be medicine cat apprentice, but now she just was left in her mind. her head lay down on the green grass, closing her blue eyes.

the calico pinned her ears as she was left alone with the rude tom once again. she hissed at his words, growling deep in her throat. this cat was a complete jerk. she felt bad for the clan if they'd ever need to submit to him. her ears pricked as she heard her person yelling for her. "i hope amberstar is intelligent enough to never give you a high rank. while i don't know a lot about clans, i know the simple things. and i can tell you that starclan will not be happy with her decision, if her decision is you." she spat, turning and walking to her home, swiftly jumping over the fence. "that should mess with your head a little bit.." she giggled, looking through the cracks in the wooden barrier.

Sunnygaze nodded. "Of course, Amberstar," she said. "Can the two of you get the goldenrod back to camp on your own? Have some lunch and relax for a bit, and then I'll come and talk to each of you privately."

Silverclaw trotted back into camp. He knew he ought to go out and hunt, but he was still in a mood, and he didn't have anyone to go with anyway.
