It appears as if Echo had not gone soft, but was rather biding his time before taking the Queens throne permanently, along with the lives of two other knights.
Echo sets an explosive off, killing Espella Jupiter Eve Orland, Lillian, and Meghan LéFay.




Edit: And it appears as if the knight without a heart has brought home the victory for the knights...unfortunately there aren't many knight's left to celebrate.


The Bloodbath
Gary Clive-Alberona, Sekai Hayabusa, Hotaru Kirai, and Grimina Cane form a suicide pact, killing themselves.
Nishino is unable to convince Echo to not kill him.
