Tala pulled out her staff and leaned against it, as she usually would in a time of thoughtfulness. Wracking her brain, she conjured her first question, "I have been wandering these wilds for sometime, but I do believe it is obvious you know them better." she began, deciding to sweeten the pot a little.
"You're wisdom may help me. There were once old, Grey Warden towers to the north of here. Yet I have searched, and they are all demolished, no longer standing." She tilted her head in the direction of approximately where the towers were, "Inside, there was a chest, which contained old scrolls - Grey Warden treaties." Smiling softly, she added, "Something tells me you may know it's whereabouts, if you do know these wilds so well. Where are they?"

"Would you like me to call you that instead?" she yelled back at him. Othelias' walk turned into a light skip as she head forwards. In the distance, she heard the sound of rushing water and she smiled.
"Aw, yes. A river's up ahead." she laughed. Having not found water in days, she was rather happy about this find. Bounding ahead, her strides broke into a jog, the grass growing taller around them, reeds poking up through the grounds. Navigating her way through was seemingly effortless, having lived in the wilderness like this all her life.

He stepped back to allow the girl movement to get back up but he wasn't in too much of a hurry. He knew why Duncan had made that woman a commander so early in the game. Truly, she could handle herself in a fight. But, he wasn't the kind of man to leave a friend behind either. " 'Make haste'. You woman and your diction. I'll never begin to understand." It wasn't just elves that talked like this he came to realize through the many female wardens that passed through fluid as water. If he spoke like that as a constant, he'd just about feel as if something was wrong with his tongue. He started forward before stopping and looking back, "But, er, which way shall we be 'making haste'?"

Sabreen only grunted as she sat upon the log next to the fire with a frown etched carefully onto her worn face. Missing dinner with the rest of the recruits, she had brought some mutton which the was resting graciously above the flames to cook. It was a small meal and would tie her through the day. The army was on a strict 'diet' right now as Duncan didn't want the Warden's in the Wilds if he could help it. Their battle was not here after all. However the rising numbers of Darkspawn had everybody on edge as of late so nobody was complaining about the food. They were more concerned with being the ones called out to hunt occasionally. Personally, Sabreen felt those of weak hearts had little place with the Wardens and trusted that the test was enough to judge them thoroughly. Milo hadn't said a word since she sat down and she hadn't pressed him, not being particularly social herself. Though she was curious as to the dwarf's past as he ddidd not speak of it much to her understanding. Before she knew what she was doing, her mind spoke for her, "You are from Orzammar aren't you? What's it like down there?"

Milo didn't turn his gaze, but tipped his head, the flames casting shadows on his face. Only having left Orzammar not too long ago, the memories were always fresh in his mind.
"It was...beautiful. An entire city made out of stone." he began, in a low, barrow tone voice. He leaned his elbows on his knees and twined his fingers together, "The air was filled with the smell of fire, earth and ale. Jewels and gold encrusted the walls and the statues of Paragons, our armour, made of the finest craft no human has ever been able to replicate."
"Order and peace was kept well, the nobles kept to themselves, while the castless stayed to their slums. My father, King Endrin...he is a good king." Milo smiled vaguely at the thought of his father, who had misjudged him, not wanting to believe his brother Bhelen, but doing so anyway. The smile slowly drained from his face, along with all happiness, "If only his judgement were not clouded with the love and loss of his children. He may have seen the truth." he mumbled, and leaned back.

Fenris let out a deep chuckle and followed. Not wearing shoes had it's up, the one was that he was silent. He ran ahead to the river, stopping at the banks. The trees were lush and green, most along each side of the river and this looking like the only way to get in really. He placed his sword against a tree, sitting on a rock so his feet touched the water.

Othelia, seemingly captivated by the waters shimmer, decided to go hopping along the stones. Like a feather, she floated from one rock to the next, balancing on a single foot, switching with each hop. Reaching the middle of the river, she proceeded to climb onto a slippery old log that was rotting away. A smile spread across her face, as she looked back at Fenris, "So, tell me about yourself. You're not like any elf I've seen. Those markings are certainly not Dalish."

Fenris nodded. "I am no friend of the Dalish." He answered with a scowl. "There markings were given to me by my former master whom I speak to get away from." He face softened as he finished, eyes scanning over the females actions.

Othelia gave him an understanding look, "That I can relate to - the Dalish part anyways." Bending forwards, she stretched out, swinging her legs over into a handstand position.
"I was born into a Dalish clan but my father was a shem. My clan shunned me and my mother, exiling me and letting her stay, but not without shame." The log leaned under her weight, creaking a little as she shifted her hands to balance her weight, the water running fast underneath her.
"But a master?" she asked, her face turning a bit red from the blood rushing to her head, "Were you a city elf?"

The arcane warrior closed her eyes and thought hard on the man's words. She could only begin to vaguely picture the city in her mind finding it hard to believe a place such as that could reside in the earth. Ever since she was a child in the Circle, she read books of the city. It was one of the places she'd always dreamed of visiting. But in these times, she would hardly have time to sight see, now would she. The girl watched Milo closely and nodded ever so slightly. Being a commander, it was her job to carefully pick apart the recruits that were brought in. Not much was said about Milo other than the fact that his father was the king. Either way, hearing him say it for certain left her thoughtful. "Perhaps it was the cruel hand of this world's destiny that brought you to the Grey Wardens?" she offered though she hardly believed it herself. She was not a religious woman and she believed strongly in making her own destiny. However, Sabreen knew many people who found comfort in that sort of thing.
