"I am terribly sorry to hear that, did they manage to move the tree successfully?" Bash wondered aloud, confused why his men hadn't removed such an obstruction the day of the welcoming. Patrols were out and about the grounds throughout the day, there wasn't a time they weren't present. Sebastian had hoped silently to himself, that his men had assisted Astria and the others who may have had the same obstacle. As she continued with his joke, the prince smirked but didn't comment on the grog, he wasn't much a fan anyhow. Sebastian preferred dark red wine, a merlot or cabernet. In the warm summers of his childhood, his parents would make a day of it to take him and Elizabeth out to the vineyards on their land and pick enough to make a bottle themselves. Then, later in the evening they would open a much older bottle after storing the new one. Elizabeth and Sebastian only had a small sip of course, but his parents enjoyed the fruits of their labor entirely. "I much prefer wine, but i suppose to each their own in taste," Sebastian laughed lightly, eyes moving to his family's lady in waiting as she helped up the future queen's maiden. With the new question at hand, Bash turned back to the princess and smiled "Snow covered strawberries, naturally. We have some of the larger berries in the kingdom, our pastry master hollows out the core and stuffs them with a vanilla bean ice cream and covers them with a cap of whipped topping- Iv never come across them until he came along," the young man advised, his head gesturing to the desert table.
"Are you alright?" Elizabeth asked again, noticing the girl wouldn't look at her. "Might gip, that one!" the maiden hissed under her breath as she looked to the future queen of scots. Her expression softened as the younger girl began to talk, her eyes soft and welcoming as her expression warmed. "All these princesses every year... the same thing over and over again, my Sebastian wont have any of it though, don't you know..." she laughed lightly. 'Oops... my?' she thought to herself. "He's like a brother to me is all... iv been here a long time..." she explained. "It seems every year he can never find the right one but he needs to work on it and soon because his time is running out!" she laughed, brushing the girls dress off. "Do you need any aid? I'm certain our nurses can attend to that bump there," she dabbed the girls nose daintily with her index finger, like a mother would do to her child, lovingly. Elizabeth always looked after the other ladies in wait, she knew their struggles and pains of being well sought after, but never good enough for good standing. It was a lot of pressure, because if a royal did choose you... you would be watched constantly. Being a royal herself, and not being able to show it or tell others, Elizabeth knew that pain more then anyone else.
