Jackalhowl stifled a little chuckle in spite of his shy self.. Poor Cactusfoot didn't seem to get out much - the tomcat was crankier and more sarcastic than a bat that was sleeping in a sunny cavern! He resisted the urge to meow, teasingly, Then why did you even bother making an appearance, you old bag of bones? Instead the main coon murmured, "Ah, yes... Silverkit's been bothering you again, has she? Quite the spritely one out of all of the newborns.."

Though the feeling of her head resting just below his shoulder made his fur crawl momentarily, the great tomcat relaxed, not wanting to admit his discomfort with physical contact, especially by mollies, to Quailfeather. "As am I.." He meowed, yawning on cue. "Being on your feet and interrogating far too many rogues does take its toll on me.."
When she asked if he had plans, cunningly, he added, his long whiskers twitching a bit, "I do, in fact have plans, though." The orange tabby let out a little sigh, a conflicted one. He'd had many fine choices of deputy, but he'd made his decision... "At long last, I'll be holding a deputy ceremony tonight. I've chosen Troutsplash.. He has amazing leader-like qualities, plus he's a bit older than me, so he'll also be a good guide for the things on DesertClan's horizon." He broke off in a mild, short chuckle, "Only problem is, I can't exactly begin the ceremony and call the meeting until he comes back from patrol.. I wonder what is taking him and his gathered cats so long to find the rogue that stole from us earlier..?"

Lakefur listened intently as Noeyes told him of the rogue. He glanced back at Schorchstar and saw him talking to Quailfeather, He seems busy, I'll just tell him quickly, he decide before calling across the camp, "Schorchstar! Rogue right outside the camp!" And then turned back to Noeyes, "I'll be right back," the confident tom said before racing out of the camp, claws extended and mouth open for scents, "Where are you?" Lakefur growled softly, mostly to himself.

Shadepaw furrowed his eyebrows and huffed, "Scorpions? Good for you. I'm sorry you think I'm lying." Shadepaw stood and nodded respectfully to the rogue, He obviously doesn't like clan cats much. Maybe I can change his mind a bit, "Good night. And, even if you could take on any cat, stay away from patrols, wouldn't want to risk injuries. May you find good hunting, swift running, and shelter when you sleep." Shadepaw used the old farewell, trying to appease the angry cat.

{@Macey and Sprite, please disable your signatures, you too. I understand if Sprite slips up with the signature thing, because she's been gone for a while, but this should be starting to click, shouldn't it, you guys? :'D
As for a re-cap, not much has happened. We've had a few rogues enter the camp and Scorchstar has allowed them to stay for a bit, it is now sundown and Troutsplash's deputy ceremony will be held at moonlight.. For a repost for one of your characters, Halfpaw, Flarepaw has found him and is talking to him. I posted that above! ^^}

Quailfeather brightened, suddenly much more awake. She shifted away from her leader to smile up at him, feeling very relieved. "I am so, so glad to hear that you've finally chosen," she mewed genuinely before continuing in a more lighthearted way, "Even if it does mean I have to stay up for an extra while longer." Her grin turned a bit crooked, amber eyes mischievous. "Maybe it's because he found another ten rouges while he was out looking for the one," she joked. "Honestly, though, I don't think that that would surprise me." A sharp meow caught the molly's attention, and she quickly turned her head to see Lakefur barreling out of camp. Quailfeather looked up at Scorchstar with concern in her eyes, slightly confused. "What...? Scorchstar? Another rouge?"

{Nah, it's all good. It's just his personality.. He's rather touchy with other cats, but it's fine! I'll have to respond to everything tomorrow.. well, maybe not even tomorrow, because I have school early in the morning and soccer practice later at night. ;-;
Probably gonna have to respond the day after tomorrow.. Ugh}

He looked away. "No!" he lied and looked at Flarepaw. The tom looked back away. "Don't mind my ugly face..." he meowed sadly and watched his reflection. His tears dripped into the water as he stood up but then dipped his paw in the water.

The young cat listened quietly to the others. Flicking his tail, larkpelt flicked an ear. '' Im worried. The preypile is low, water may run out and there have been a lot of rouges recently. and the heat of the day and cold of the night doesn't help'' larkpelt shifted his paws. Gazing around his dusty home, Larkpelt sighed once more. '' That means eventually we'll all be gone.''
