Ravenstar blinked it surprise as he noticed Nightshade could see him. Of course! That's why she sees me.. I've trained her before. He thought quietly, padding closer to the she-cat.
"I see that you've become Deputy, Nightshade," Meowed Ravenstar. "It's a good rank. But don't you want to be Leader?"
As he finished the sentence, he was back in the Dark Forest.

Claytail nodded. "Y-yeah... As a kit..." He shook his head, sitting down with a heavy 'fwuf' sound. "I climbed trees, a lot. I just liked trying to get as high as possible wherever I was. Then one day I slipped. I lost consciousness, and woke up in the medicine cat's den, overhearing that I would be blind in one eye the rest of my life..."

(Sorry I'm in a bit of distress. I was in the middle of making a form for a plumie (it was limited to the first four pages) when suddenly 12 more replies were made, bumping my post past the fourth page ;-;)

Snowcloud flicked her tail, watching the young apprentice. "But you what?"

Moonpaw gasped quietly. "I'm so sorry Claytail.." She mewed. She sat opposite him and curled her tail around her paws. She flexed her claws, digging into the ground with a quite grumble. The young shecat was upset with Ravenstar for telling her to do that, for he must have known how badly Claytail was against her climbing the tree.

(Aw, I'm sorry. I don't know what those are, but I can guess they are an adoptable.)

"But I can't fight... I'm too weak..." Ashenpaw mumbled, the blame on herself heavy in her words.

Claytail smiled softly, looking at his apprentice. "It could have been worse. Just a few inches further, and I might not even be here." He shook his head. "But you can understand why i don't want to climb a tree any time soon..." He looked around. "You did good though, I don't want to forbid you from going into trees, you might hunt really well that way."

"You learn." Snowcloud meowed. "You're as strong as you wanna be, as strong as any cat." She stood and started pacing around Ashenpaw.

Moonpaw delicately shrugged her shoulders, sighing lightly. "I see that it's unsafe. Maybe just for when I'm bigger." She meowed softly.

Ashenpaw looked around, trying to follow Snowcloud. "I-I can't though... I can't fight..." She shook her head. "I can't even hunt... I'm worse than a kittypet... At least they can kill for sport..." She shook her head. "J-just... You've got the wrong cat... If I was strong, it would not make a difference. I still can't attack anything."
(Might want to do more than just taunt her that way, you practically have her...)

Shaking his head, Claytail smiled. "Don't worry, most cats are better at landing on their feet than I was. It's irrational at this point. You did fine climbing that tree... I just don't think I can teach you about attacking like that."

Snowcloud padded beside Ashenpaw and kept walking. She sat a fox-length away from the apprentice, opposite her. "Try." She meowed simply, watching the younger cat. "You say you can't, but that's the only thing holding you back. So, try. Attack me now."

Moonpaw tilted her head, flicking her ears. "It would be a good place to attack from." She meowed. "But that's only if you can keep still and quiet. If you miss, you risk falling and injuring yourself." She shook her head. "I don't want to learn to attack from there, anyways." She meowed, then thought about how Ravenstar was training her. If he teaches me to hunt and attack like that, I'm going to be very cross with him. she thought to herself.

Ashenpaw shivered, standing up, waiting for the other cat to knock her back down in anger. She had been through this before. It was terrible. They would ask her to attack them, but she couldn't do more than tap them gingerly. She walked forward, thinking about how mean this cat had been before she swung. Then she froze up. "I-I don't want to h-hurt you..."

Claytail smiled weakly, looking up at the trees. "You know... I wish I wasn't so afraid of them..." He shook his head. "I think I might go get some sleep. You should see of any of the other apprentices want help with something. Or go visit the elders... Chances are one of them will have a job for you..."

Ravenstar entered the cave he had last slept in as his flanks touched the hard surfaces of the rocks and stones. The cave was always dull, but there was some lighting as he slipped into a deep state of sleep after curling up.

Snowcloud flicked her tail against the forest floor. "You won't hurt me. Just attack me, now." She meowed, flicking her ears. "I'll be even more mean if you don't. It gets you angry, and then you'll attack." She shook her head. "It's such a basic tactic."
