Some Nynx have reportably been seen with other traits, but this is very rare!
The Nynx [nin-cks] are a feline species rarely seen by human eyes, hidden deep within rain forests. Unlike all other feline species, they have three tails, two similar to their cousins the lions' tails, the other situated between them that resembles that of a tiger. This tail is prehensile, meaning that the Nynx has a great amount of control over it, and is able to grasp items with it. Their coats are usually thinner than they appear, and almost exclusively colored naturally. The fur on the tips of their two lionlike tails is very silky and also the only brightly colored part of their body, used for attracting mates and recognizing family members through the thick trees. Standing on average 3' tall at the shoulders, most Nynx are surprisingly light, weighing in at only 20-25 pounds.
The diet of a Nynx consists of mainly meat, typically large rodents, but they will eat the occasional insect should it cross their path. Never will they ever eat plants though, as their stomachs lack any of the enzymes necessary to digest plant matter, and doing so would cause them to become very ill. Despite original thoughts, their tusks serve little purpose in hunting, and instead serve the same purpose as the silky fur on their tails: showing off. The larger their tusks, the higher the Nynx is in social standing, and thus the more likely the Nynx is to survive.
