Yes she was smart because of the raptor dna, that was very clear, I think even literally stated during the movie. Of course not all the 'parts' of her DNA were mentioned, the only animals that were mentioned where some kind of treefrog, cuddlefish and raptor (and indirectly Tyrannosaurus), no way that are the only parts that's just pure logic. But still, she never even practised her abilities of camouflage, otherwise people would've known she could do that. Still she got it right on the first shot and combined it with this other thing that she has never been observed doing. No matter how smart you are, that doesn't make any sense. That would be like a baby that grew up without ever talking that suddently started talking and braiding it's hair without ever having seen or heard somebody else do that. But talking about the sience of JP and JW is overall very useless since we're talking dinosaurs and it would never be possible to resurrect dinosaurs. (we did find T rex DNa once, it was way too damaged to come remotely close to being usefull. If we were to 'fill the gaps' it would've been 90% chicken).
Concluding, the I Rex was awesome but no way she could've figured out the changing color and body temperature in one go, even though she is smart.
. I would love to if it was working though.
I'd love to see some background on him though.
