Shadepaw's eyes widened and he briefly panicked, If he attacks there's no way I can beat him! he fretted. Trying a new tactic Shadepaw sat down. "I'm sorry someone rejected you," Idiot! New topic, uh, ok, "I'm Shadepaw, I didn't mean to offend you, I just don't want any of the warriors to find you and start a fight," I'm probably not helping myself, Shadepaw thought, trying hard to keep his fur flat and his claws sheathed.

Lovino replied with a little less viciousness in his tone though he was still snappy. "My name doesn't matter to you and I can take on any cat. I just took out a few scorpions." The scorpion part was of coarse a lie but he spoke in enough pride that it didn't seem like it. "Now get out of my sight!"

"I know right? I've never been able to catch a star and you did it on your first try. I'm impressed." Graywhisker purred also following the bug as it flew away. He then sat up and laid down beside the falls waters dipping his front paws back in. The heat of the air made this an even better night. "So, do you want to do anything Fawnwater?" The Russian Blue asked the she cat.

Shadepaw furrowed his eyebrows and huffed, "Scorpions? Good for you. I'm sorry you think I'm lying." Shadepaw stood and nodded respectfully to the rogue, He obviously doesn't like clan cats much. Maybe I can change his mind a bit, "Good night. And, even if you could take on any cat, stay away from patrols, wouldn't want to risk injuries. May you find good hunting, swift running, and shelter when you sleep." Shadepaw used the old farewell, trying to appease the angry cat.

She sighed again and sat down, a small fluttering of wings caught her eye. Raven growled and leapt onto the small owl, killing it. After the small flurry of feathers and fur had ended she picked it up and walked back to her den. This was a habit she had started when she was taught how to hunt. The she-cat slowly started pulling out down feathers and placing them in her nest, but kept her ears pricked for any other signs of life.

Hawkcry noted Batpaw's slight trembling when he placed his paws rather awkwardly on his bulky shoulders. The dark warrior grinned cockily and aloofly, knowing that the tomcat knew, fully well, just how powerful he was and just how easily he could beat an opponent. But I can't crush his will just yet.. Toy with him for a while longer before getting more serious, eh, Hawkcry?
With that, the apple blue-eyed brute wriggled his shoulder from the blind tom's grasp, ripping free. He still balanced precariously on his hind legs, but sooner or later his toned legs would buckle, for he'd never been too hot at staying upward for long periods of time. Before he toppled over and embarrassed himself, with his claws sheathed, he raked his paw across Batpaw's bony chest, swiping at him just to see his reaction.

After her mind was cleared, Noeyes walked a little faster to reach camp. She couldn't exactly pinpoint where the Oasis lay, but she could guess by the smooth earth underfoot that served as the cats' pathway to home and by the mingled smell of rogue and Clan cat. The Russian blue began to pick up the pace when she heard the first coyote howl.. then again, it could've been a jackal, all of creatures sounded the same to her sensitive ears. With her bones creaking in protest and with her teeth gritted, Noeyes hobbled along faster, well aware that if she was jumped by one of the DesertClan cats' enemies that she'd be torn into shreds and eaten for a meal.
But sure enough, the patchy-furred molly's sense of direction was correct - she rammed into the camps bushy, scraggly boundary wall, and squeezed through the entrance into the camp, wheezing and panting as she did so.

She bounded up and over a sandy hill then, and the gorge came into view as the rumble of the Falls met her sensitive, namesake ears. Flare paw's feeling of being watched had left her by now, and she was sure she was in the clear and that she was alone. Slowing her brusque pace down to a gangly walk, she reached the gorge and glanced down briefly. The tumbling, bubbling, and roaring water was far, far below, and the river snaked from the waterfalls feet. The ebony cat then spotted a black shape hunched over the surging, dark waters.. and she realized that it was a fellow apprentice, Halfpaw.
The tomcat looked... rather upset, but Flarepaw couldn't really tell. She glanced upward at the darkening, color-streaked, sunset sky, deciding it was best to check in with the lonely-looking male and ask what was what. She had time, hopefully, to briefly interact with Halfpaw, take a dip in the Falls, and head back home, surely.
The boisterous female swished her tail before turning away from the edge of the gorge and bounding off towards the winding, rocky path that led down, down, down to the waterfall and its river below. The large-eared, skinny molly was quick as she descended, having traveled down this pathway many a time. In moments her paws met the scraggly, yellow grass that was at the bottom of the gorge and she soon felt the mist from the Falls deck her fur.
Flarepaw broke into a sprint to reach Halfpaw, who was a little ways away, farther down the river. When she reached the depressed male she slowed down, calling out to him, "Hey, Halfpaw! What are you doing down here? Something wrong?"

When she reached up, having to balance a little on her hind legs to reach his thinly-furred, tabby head, he purred softly and chuckled with amusement. The she-cat was much shorter than he, and he knew how much a struggle it was for smaller cats to address him with him towering above them. "Will do, Quailfeather.. Will do,". He meowed as she settled back down on her mottled tabby haunches once more.

She blinked and watched an elder pad into the camp, then smirked. Slowly the she-cat crawled out of the bush and raced to another shrub and yowled "Hey mousebrain, come find me!"
