SeasonsThe current season is: Spring!
➵ Spring: The season of new life everywhere, the earth has warmed up again and the snow has melted though there might still be a frost around. New foals will be born and mares will come into heat again and will be looking for a herd or a stallion, there is a lot more food now so time to get your stregnth back up. The world is beautiful though there might be a few floods from melting snow, meaning rivers, streams and lakes will be deaper than ever so watch young foals around these areas. However... this is the time for violent bloody fights of stallions defending their herds or simply trying to win mares.
➵ Summer: The season where it gets really warm, annoying flies buzzing around you, most mares will still be in heat and looking for a herd, foals may be born but the earth has really started to dry up. There may be a drought, or even a fire in some places, water may become scarce and you will have to look hard to find it. Herds often run for hours with few to no stops to find water. Herds are just as common in this season as they are in spring, still fighting over mares, but also, this time, fighting for water to keep their mares alive.
➵ Autumn/fall: The season where everyone is trying to prepare for winter, horses are eating more to prepare for winter. Some mares may still be in heat and looking for a herd, though some may just join herds of mares, and lone bachelors may join a bachelor herd. Some foals may be born but there survival chances are slim. Leaves will fall and the earth will be covered in color the ground will cool down once again. The fighting does not lessen, stallions are now fighting however, now they are fighting for food for their herds.
➵ Winter: The season where the earth becomes a freezing ice rink, rivers, streams, lakes almost every water supply will freeze over with dangerous ice. The earth is covered in a thick blanket of snow and there may be storms on the way. It's freezing and food is little you may even have to eat the bark off the trees. Young foals and very old horses to not have a good chance of surviving this season. Mares are still in heat, however do not exceed stage two as their body will not let them, therefore breeding doesn't occur. Stallions are occasionally fighting for grazing grounds.
