Ashenpaw screamed as she was tackled, not even struggling as she froze up, unable to fight back. "L-Leave me alone!" She yelled, scared by the cat's treachery. Why would she pretend to be hurt, just to tackle an apprentice. "W-what do you want?!"

Claytail smiled and began to walk back towards camp. At the apprentice's question, Claytail turned so that he could see Moonpaw's face, wondering what the young cat was thinking. "I'd say whenever one is available. But unfortunately, that might take a while. I would happily go out with you, Nightshade and her apprentice sometime."

Snowcloud stayed, holding Ashenpaw down and talked as if she wasn't doing anything wrong. Looking around, she meowed "You see, this is the Dark Forest." She looked down at Ashenpaw. "This is were bad cats go after dying." She smirked, her fangs bared. "We train cats here, to be the best in their clan if, and only if, they keep it a secret from the rest of their clan." Snowcloud chuckled. "I should mention to you now, if you even think about telling your mentor or anyone else in your clan.." She dragged her paw along the apprentice's throat. "I think you get the picture." She flicked her ears thoughtfully. "Oh, and yeah, if you die here, you die in the real world as well. Let that sink in."

Moonpaw padded alongside Claytail and looked at him thoughtfully as he answered. "I didn't know Nightshade had an apprentice anymore. I thought he ran away or something." She meowed softly.

Featherstar looked up and saw Nightfang dragging in a dead cat. Wait, she wasn't dead, but she was dying. "Whiteleaf!" She yowled.

Ashenpaw shook her head. "I don't want to be here..." She muttered, shaking her head in fear, and trying to push herself out from underneath the other cat. "Let me go. I don't want to be here, let me go!" She kept repeating this, panic rising in her voice as she began to cry, scared for her life at the threat of the killing.

Claytail shook his head. "He did... His name was Flintpaw." He shook his head. "I'm assuming that once he becomes a member of the clan, her training him will continue. As much as I might dislike Flint, you could learn a lot from Nightshade."

Snowcloud held her paw against the apprentice's throat, looking at her. "Now, now. You don't have to kill anyone. We'd just train you.." She lied then looked thoughtful. "Haven't you wanted to be the best medicine cat the clan has ever had?" She smiled kindly, fake.

Moonpaw nearly stopped in her tracks and stumbled on her paws slightly. "Woah, Flint was her apprentice?" She meowed in surprise. "She, mentored him?? But how? He turned out so.. Well. We can't trust him.." She shook her head. "Nightshade couldn't have trained him to be that way."

I brought the female into the camp and laid her down softly "this is Tiny's mother.. She doesn't look to good and I don't think she is gonna make it" I spoke worriedly

Ashenpaw shivered, her chest rising and falling rapidly. "Y-yeah... I've always wanted to s-save as many cats as possible... That's been my dream..." She looked up at her captor, trying to figure out what this cat wanted. "But how could you train me, you are not a medicine cat." She winced as the cat pushed on her throat.

Claytail nodded, looking away. "Well, yes... He was once her apprentice. And I trust Nightshade, even if I don't trust Flint." He smiled, looking at Moonpaw. "We all thought FLint was fine, and would be a good warrior. I guess some cats just have some dark secrets to them." He sighed. "I just wish I could hear what that cat was thinking..."

Snowcloud slowly got off Ashenpaw. She had the apprentice's attention. "Well now, you might as well know how to defend yourself as well. What good is a medicine cat if she's hurt?" She flicked her tail. "You could learn your medicine cat remedies and such from your mentor, and I can teach you to defend yourself."

Moonpaw heard what Claytail said about Flint and felt a twinge of guilt. She had her own secrets, and other cats were starting to think she was going to be a great warrior. "Am I gonna turn out like him?" She asked, worry in her mew.

Ashenpaw winced, standing up slowly. "I-I-I..." SHe fell silent, her fear paralyzing her slightly. "I do-don't w-want to f-fight anything though..." She looked around, fear clear in her eyes. "W-why... Why do you t-think I would have to?" She wished she was back in her den, waking up to find some other sick cat to treat, anything to get away from this cat.

Claytail raised his eyebrow at the statement. "I don't think so, you always cared about others, much more than Flint did. I don't think you could hurt a cat for no good reason." He smiled, "Besides, you seem to be doing well enough, why would you want to ruin your chances of becoming a warrior?"

"Think of it this way." Snowcloud meowed as she sat, curling her tail around her paws. "If cats or predators invade your camp, intending to hurt your clan and you, wouldn't you want to be able to defend yourself?" She pressed on, intending on changing the apprentice's mind.
