Lovino snorted "Yeah alright." He mumbled. Michael however was silent as he watched Chris' lips move. "I couldn't hear you coming. Lovi was just making sure I didn't get hurt" he explained a little too loudly.

Paige looked towards Miyuki's voice "I'm fine I just don't exactly trust your kind."

She nodded," Its okay miss. Mommy use to tell me that making new friends would be hard because of that. So I understand."

[Dethuma]

Paige scoffed "Considering the last time I nearly wound up dead, you're going to have to put on a better act than that"

Chris smiled at the boy who had shouted at her.
"Gum?" She offered.
Then her attention was drawn to the other boy.
"Ah, I see. Protective, much? I'm lucky I never had anyone who was protective of me. Otherwise I never learned how to take risks and be how I am today. But I suppose it's normal for someone to protect who they love. I might be the strange one here."

[Dethuma]

Lovino shook his head at the offer of gum "I'm only protective of him for two reasons. One, my sister would kill me if he got hurt and two I can't let him roam around by himself because he's both only six and deaf" he answered instantly. "So trust me you're not the odd one out"

Chris chuckled.
"I see. Those are some good reasons."
She kneeled down to face Micheal.
"Hello boy, what's your name?" She said with a bright smile on her face.

Michael smiled back "I'm Michael!" he chirped happily "Who are you?" he asked with the tilt of his head.

She tilted her head," What do you mean?"

"Chris." She said. "So, where are you two going?"
Chris didn't mind staying a little put to talk a bit with this cute kid. She liked kids. Full of innocence, but always able to amaze you.

"I was going to take him somewhere to eat before we had to go find my sister again. She's somewhere in the forest I think" Lovino answered for Michael who just nodded in agreement and figured he had said the right thing. "So, Chris, where are you going?"

"Don't try playing innocent with me" Paige growled, a scowl currently present on her face "I know your game. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice and someone winds up dead"
