Lily
Lily gazed outside through the window. All she could see were more twoleg dens. That's all she ever really saw, at least with her eyes. She had heard stories of other places, and from those stories she painted the pictures in her mind. She imagined forests and rivers, the moor and marshes. However there were things she couldn't imagine, like the fresh air and the breeze in her fur. Those she had to experience for herself. Her twolegs rarely let her outside yet she yearned to travel and see the land herself. There had to be more to life than what she knew.
Maple
Maple opened her mouth to the breeze blowing her way. The fresh air filled her mouth only to exit when the wind changed direction. Tilting her head downward she caught sight of a rabbit gorging itself on a patch of clovers. The creature hadn't detected her yet giving Maple the chance to duck into a crouch behind a clump of heather right as the prey lifted its head to check for predators. Maple crept forward until she was a few fox lengths from the rabbit. Pausing right before she sprung at it. The rabbit had enough time to get a running start but Maple was close behind. She felt the sun on her back and the breeze in her fur, but it was no time to savor the moment she pushed herself harder, darting around the moor just as her prey did. Maple was only a tail length behind when she put all her strength into her hind legs and thrust her self forward. She landed squarely on the rabbit and snapped its spine before it could put up a fight. Maple spared her prey a painful death and ended its life with a quick bite to the neck. She immediately started eating it so she could finish before the smell of blood attracted any unwanted attention.
Storm Sky
Storm Sky meandered around the trees, he hadn't been to this part of the forest before. Storm Sky took in his surroundings and kept track of all the herbs he passed in case he ever needed to find more. He hadn't eaten in a while but exploring a new area of the forest kept his stomach quiet. He became lost in thought and forgot to watch where he was going. Storm Sky nearly tripped over a piece of crow food in his path. Perhaps he should only come back to here if he
really needed to. Before he was able to properly regain his balance a scent touched his nose drawing him away from his current thoughts. "Yes!" Storm Sky exclaimed aloud. He had spotted a strip a cat mint, small but alive. The patch was small but healthy, if he ever needed it the cat mint would be there. Storm Sky made sure to take note of it's location. He could hear flowing water in the background and an oak tree stood tall and proud above him. There was much time before leaf-bear was to arrive. By then the patch should be able to support many cats.
(Sorry was that to much writing?)
