Anyone curious can check it out here:
http://magistream.com/ (Warning: it may not promote hoarding, but it can still be addictive.)
I don't mind magistream, I have an account there and I only collect a few pets (or trade for the ones I like) so I'd be agreeable with that site

I Will have to check out magistream when I have a bit more time, but my friend did mention a place called gaiaonline. She said it is a heavy forum site, their aren't pets to adopt, just an avatar that you can dress up and shops to buy clothes and such. She said she played on their many years ago when she was heavy into pixel art and have several shops, they were very popular there she said. But she hasn't been there for a long time and isn't even sure if it is still running or what it might have turned into.
My issue with the real money isn't how much it costs, but the fact that I don't want to put my debit card online.

Fair enough on the credit card thing. I refuse to let Playstation Network have my credit card number after their track record.
I was on GaiaOnline for awhile years ago as well. I was even briefly involved with a friend's artshop. So that is definitely a possibility as well.

Midnight Mare wrote:I think howrse might be an alright sight to move to, I haven't found anything that would restric Mythicarium in the rules. it's not exactly adopting pets, you breed and raise horses but you start out with a horse that you get for free and if you do the quests you get another one of the same breed and opposite gender for free and the accounts are free. I dunno, just an idea. once you get to 20 days seniority you can make an equestrian center where you get your own forum, you could definitely do Mythicarium in one of those. they don't have any public forums on site that you could do it in anymore, though.
Howrse doesn't have email notifications, so I wouldn't choose to go there
It's too much pressure having to sign in and stay signed in just to find things out,I have a life outside of the computer so email notifications are the best thing for me.

I get where you're coming from now more than ever, Ruby-Skylark.
So looking at Magistream, it doesn't seem to have a place for a separate archive thread, but they do have toggle-able show/hide tabs that it looks like are what people use to divide sections and such. My big concern with moving there would be the size of my adopts. That community has a big focus on pixel art and other small things, so I'm not sure my comparatively huge stuff would catch on.
(There's also the issue that if I go back I'll have to sort out my over ambitious quetzalcoatl breeding thing, but that's got nothing to do with the shop. ^^; )

Why not just keep the shop here, you can ignore everything else on CS, turn off all other notifications, stay away from all the other forums, and just do a weekly check-in for orders and maybe an event special raffle sometimes?
That way, there's no pressure, you can even turn off these notifications and just check what's new when you do visit?
Unfortunately, CS is the most practical place for a beautiful adopt like Mythicarium, most other places only seem to like the itsy bitsy teeny weeny pixel art that you can barely see
I love Mythicarium because they are big, I can see all the amazing detail put into every single adopt here and it's beautiful!

Okay, you've convinced me. I'll try keeping the shop here, but I'm going to try to get more staff on to help run it. I especially need artists since keeping up with orders has been the hardest part for me. You guys all have so many amazing, intricate ideas and I love that, but sometimes it fries my brain a bit.

If any of you are curious about becoming an artist, I highly recommend downloading the free program Inkscape. I can try to find a good basic tutorial on how to use it. It is very different from both traditional art and things like Photoshop, so even if you think you're not much of artist I would encourage giving it a shot. I hated drawing by hand but I took to Vector art like a duck to water.

but CS really is the best place to show off such amazing adopts <3 )
*LOL* oops
I get a bit crazy with my ideas sometimes, but OMG you've done such a stunning job on all of them, I'm SO happy with all my Mythycarium babies
