Russetstorm had heeded the falling night and let his eyes do most of the leading, keeping behind Troutsplash but a step or two ahead of the other two cats. His ears were pricked and alert and he heard tentative pawsteps near them before seeing the she-cat rogue. She didn't carry the scent of the cat they were tracking, but an outsider was an outsider. Lip curling back slightly, the russet tom fluffed his nape a little bit and gazed briefly at the deputy for advice, usually he was headstrong but against cats he was unfamiliar with, it was best to let authority do its thing.

Shiver raised hit lips on a snarl, a loud hiss escaping her throat. She couldn't afford a fight, the lives that she carried were far more important to her, and she was cornered. She retreated a bit farther into her rock cover, hoping that there would be an opportunity to make down any attackers.

She felt the fur on her back bristle and her tail smacking against the stone faces. She didn't want a fight, but she wouldn't simply surrender to hostile cats. She couldn't risk her kits.

Venom grabbed a nice size mouse and dragged it over towards Where Dustspeck rested. Dustspeck looked up and patted the ground with his tail "Not at all" he meowed, stretching his mouth in a yawn.

Lizardfang nibbled her mouse. "How are you this evening?" she asked.

Crowpaw nodded, then perked up. "I think I've found them!" she said, grinning excitedly. She dug into the sand and uncovered a nest of the small rodents. "Look!"

Dustspeck glanced up and let out a purr "I'm good... Just exhausted and soaked" he meowed, glancing at the black and white she cat who sat father away, her ears pinned to her head "Who is that?" he asked curiously. She had a familiar scent clinging to her pelt but not fresh enough to know exactly why it was familiar.

Venom let out a slight hiss and stared at the tom, she felt her tail tip twitch and stared back at her mouse, unease sinking into her bones.

Thistle stretched her paws, her eyes searching the medicine den for Venom. Instead they landed on another cat, a tom, who was taking a nest in the den "Hello" he meowed, sitting back on her haunches.

He had rested and was feeling much better. His bright eyes blinked as he slowly sat up and smiled sleepily, nodding a greeting.

Lizardfang chuckled. "This is Venom," she meowed. "She's here with her friend Thistle." The pale-brown molly took a bite out of her mouse and swallowed. "I understand that you know Thistle?"

Thistle stretched slightly and glanced at the tom "I'm Thistle." she greeted, she felt awkward introducing herself, it wasn't something she did on a daily basis but she had to accustom herself to living with other cats.

Dustspecks head shot up "Did you say Thistle?" he hissed slightly glancing at the two catsm Venom's ears flicked but she remained silent, fears settling in her stomach.
