xXx. Ranae lifted her muzzle up and sniffed the air delicately. A smile appeared on her maw as she ran towards the scent, it was faint, but it was enough for her to scent it and follow it. She knew it was big, and good for the pack, she exhaled the fresh air and took a deep breath out. She bolted towards the scent as it got stronger.

She stopped in a clearing and saw two blurry objects. One was Delgado, her brother for sure, the other one was too blurry to make out but she knew by the scent it wasn't her packmate. She crouched and crawled forward, hiding under a small rock lose enough for her to tell what they were saying. She knew the wolf that was talking and snorted quietly, it was her brothers old friend, Wren. Who was talking to him.

Kaii watched his pack's camp from the outskirt, looking in upon the busy moving wolves. Some mingled, but most shared gossip only with their own rank. He found this most odd- personally, he did not understand the limiting rules of positions. The brute often pondered over this, as he did now with his eyes narrowed quizzically. Perhaps, if not the status of his pack, that there was no distinguished between hunters and healers and fighters, the traits could be more easily shared abroad.
Hunters would be stronger, fighters quicker and wittier, healers able to defend themselves. then, with a sigh of disgust, he continued his thoughts. But no, of course! Tradition! Always remember sweet, sick, tradition. Kaii stood up abruptly, then, rising to his full height and shook out his long, silvery coat.

The female crept, belly low to the ground. The tall stalks of spring grass brushed her reddish coat softly, which was still shedding its winter layer. The fae was moving slowly in her hunter's stance, pale green gaze locked on her prey, when suddenly a bird perched high in a tree overhead cawed and took off in a flurry. The unexpected noise shook Wyllo with a jolt, and the mottled grey hare sprinted away and down a burrow some ways away. When she regained herself, she growled loudly, muttering a curse. This was her fifth failed attempt! "Am I destined to have a bad day!" Wyllo howled in anguish, sitting back on her haunches. She planted a paw firmly in the soft ground, pushing deeper into the dirt patch with frustration so that upon lifting it, a solid print would be left. Wyllo had been up since before the great orb in the sky had risen, and frost covered the earth. Such was a routine she had grown accustomed to and quite fond of- ever since she was a young pup. And yet, all she had been able to catch thus for was two measly mice and a thrush.
"I should head back to camp, perchance my absence from the day will be known," the hunter started, then snorted at her own words in an unladylike manner, "Pfft! As if they should even think to worry about my being gone, even the whole of the day." Wyllo wasn't exactly a well liked character in her pack. So, instead, she stayed and rested for a few moments more.

Sorry Cody, its just well my instincts told me to use your formal rank in response and I'm not making any sense because my heart hurts" the fae laughed and smiled sincerely at the brute who was now licking the back of her head, easing the blood loss and pain from the wound. Anastasia sighed and quickly moved away. The fae looked at her surroundings once more, she wanted to go back to her and give her a piece of her mind, how dare she! Ignoring a fighter like that! Let alone Anastasia! Anastasia is known to be nice but, her history of being alone is unknown. Turning her head, the fae found Cody scooting her to her. A simple laugh escaped her maw.

"Cody, What are you doing?" the fae laughed and looked at him, her attention on him, anthos and holly."Shouldn't we begin our patrol? Its getting dark and I don't need Anthos flipping out on me twice, I mean he's going to be pissed off enough as it is for kicking dust and pebbles in his face." Anastasia asked before looking up at the gorgeous light blue, orange sky. The clouds were peacefully pacing by and the birds were traveling to any destination they pleased.

Wren listened as the male grumbled under his breath, no doubt weighing his options. She felt her hope take a hit and looked on sadly. There was no way, was there? She'd be destined to live her life without her brother knowing she was even alive. There would be severe consequences if she went to find Reed herself, and didn't want to risk his life as well as her own. Her mind clouded with 'if only's. Delgado finally had an answer for her, and it was neutral. "Thank you. I appreciate this a lot." She dipped her head in gratitude.

The she-wolf smiled as he seemed taken aback by her rank. A part of her stirred when she sensed his pride, though she thought nothing of it and swished her tail absently. "I could tell as much." Wren said when he informed her of his rank. His voice turned threatening and she took a small step back. This would be her cue to leave, though it was nice to catch up for a bit. It brought back all her old memories of the Austeros, most of them unpleasant, but some she treasured.

"Well, I should be off before any wolf notices my absence." The huntress sighed and waved her tail slightly in departure. "It was nice to see you again, Delgado. And thank you." She took one last look at the male before turn-tailing and sprinting off, back in the direction of the Leukos territory. Wren ran as quickly as possible so she wouldn't be caught, and soon saw the entrance of camp looming ahead.

Anthos steadied his strong body against the current, white fur streaming behind him. The river was rampant due to the recent rainfall, so being this deep was a bit dangerous. The alpha was strong enough, though he doubt Holly would be. She was already smaller due to genetics, on top of being a hunter. His ears perked as he heard the distant commotion and yelling, recognizing the voice as Anastasia's. He glanced Holly, who looked sad, her eyes downcast. At her question he tilted his head in confusion. Was her fur ugly? Fur is fur. The wolf sighed, knowing he was never good at saying the right things in this type of situation. "Your fur isn't hideous, and even so what would it matter." Anthos said, voice calm,"Fur is to keep you warm not to please others." He shrugged his haunches. Vanity was not something he dwelt on.

Anthos hopped out of the river with ease and shook out his pelt, water droplets showering onto the muddy banks. He was chilled now, so he rubbed his sides on some tree bark to stimulate the icy skin. It was only early spring, so the air still had bite to it, as did the river water. "It's getting later now, we should begin preparations for the hunt." The alpha stood, stiff-legged, and began padding back to the main territory. The hunt wasn't for a few more hours, but Wren still hadn't returned which made him anxious.

Reed wagged his tail. "Of course I'd like to go. That is, if you want me to." The healer was excited to see what she had in mind. There weren't too many nice places he was aware of that were within the Austeros borders. The land on this side of the forest was not as beautiful as the Leukos. The Austeros were known for their flat, dry land, with large clearings, nothing extremely interesting. The hunting was always good, however.

"I can't go for long, because I have to go along on the hunt tonight." Reed regretted having to leave Accalia. As a rule, omegas could not attend the hunt. Fighters nor pups couldn't go either, so at least she could have some company. Really, there was no point in him being there other than to monitor for any injuries. He could also aid in taking the massive prey down. He was a decent fighter and hunter as any wolf, so he could do these things, but his best skill shows in healing.

The female listened to him hoping he would join her before nodding her head lightly. "Follow me" She said softly, the female knew the forests around the Austeros pack was not as nice as the leukos pack territory was. Although the hunting grounds were another story, the female never had been there herself but had been told it was a mix of both packs territory. She nodded lightly to herself as in an acceptance of this thought. She intended on showing the brute one of her most prized places to just relax at least well she could. Swishing her tail as she moved dipping out of a small hole between two rocks, not many knew about this exit but her and the other wolves who stalked around the camp. Her tail curling around her legs once more slipping herself into the hole coming out in a small clearing. The rocky soil below her shuffled under her paws as she looked back to Reed before smiling softly as he spoke. "No worries. It will not take but a second" She said her smile fading when she thought about the big game hunt, the female had never liked staying back well the others went hunting. She despised being an omega most times but what was she going to do, there was nothing the female could do but help out her pack and be on good terms with everyone.

The six year old male ran his tongue across his muzzle, the brute had been out hunting and as he finished his rabbit he moved covering the remains with a few leafs. His ears pinned back slightly as he let out a small yawn, although looking around the old brutes nose was invaded by the scent of a female. He snorted lightly, the brute was by leukos territory so it was not odd to scent another wolf although this female did not smell like leukos.. He lifted his muzzle yet again giving the air a few good sniffs, the rabbit he had eaten still lingered around so any other wolves would be able to scent it. Although he did not mind that, flicking his tail around as he let out a annoyed huff. The brute was more traditional meaning he did not like other packs or other pack wolves, his ears pinned down sniffing the air yet again as he scented the female smell once again. It confused him a bit, her scent was covered in what smelled to be a loner although he was just confused with all the scents coming trough his nose at once. Shaking his head softly as the brute moved trotting down a small hill to a stream that flowed trough the forest. Bending his head down as he snorted softly bringing his muzzle to the water and giving it a few good licks to quench his thirst.

The young pup had been awake for maybe about a few minutes although she was extremely ready to play. Although much to the young pups demise no wolf seamed to be interested in playing, from what she had learned about the pack was the pups not the packs future, so should she not be treated as royalty. Running her tongue across her muzzle, as the young pup soon realized how hungry she was. Her small tummy growling as she glanced around, crouching down the young female scented the air. She had learned a little from following around the hunters, like how to crouch right and how to move your paws without making a sound. Her small brown eyes glanced around softly as a rat raced across the packs camp. Letting out a happy yip the young female moved swiftly after the animal quickly pouncing on it, her large paws pinned the animal down as she giggled slightly, "Got you" she said happily wagging her tail quickly as she yipped puffing out her chest. Looking around for any wolves to show off to but none were around, so the female picked up her meager kill and sat in the middle of camp puffing out her chest, she would wait for her alpha to get back and show him what she did.

The brute said softly sticking out his tongue as he moved resting his head back onto the rock. He smirked lightly, "So think we will find anything good?" he spoke lightly swishing his tail trough the water, a few drops of honey has escaped from his pelt but some was still there he hoped a few moments longer would clear at least most of it. "It was nice to see you too, Wren." he admitted quietly, dipping his head as she said thank you. "Take care of yourself." he told her, as she turned and sprinted off, leaving Delgado standing there awkwardly. Shaking his pelt, he too turned and sprinted off in the direction he came, the scent of lueko's drifting further and further away.

Anastasia followed Cody around the borders of the pack, so many scents in the area around them. The fae knew where they were passing, the peaceful lake in the forest. How calm and sweet it was, a nice place for relaxation and maybe a mate proposal..The fae quickly shook her head, shaking the thought romance out of her mind. The poor fae dreamed of a fairy-tale love story since she was a pup, the brute would confess his undying love for her, how he would do anything to please her, and they would eventually have pups and live happily-ever-after but after years, she realized that would never happen, as this world means more than just your happily-ever-after.

Anastasia sighed once more, this time a sad and disappointed sigh but then became a growl. Her. She was at the lake, with..with..Anthos.."Uhh, Cody are you sure we need to pass this area?" the fae asked with an odd tone in her voice none she recognized herself."Anthos and her are at the lake so its most likely safe, unless she is making all the wrong moves on mr.topdog trying to get him to father her pups. Then it's not safe..for him" she growled towards the direction of the two wolves by the lake.
