the brown tom silently lay in the warrior's den, his tail curled, tightly around his muscular build. rumbleclaw's golden eyes opened, stepping out of the den, stretching his limbs out, his lips parting in a yawn. as he looked around, his eyes landed on the fresh-kill pile. he huffed, noticing it was a bit short on prey. his ears were up tall, trying to see if anyone was going to set out on a hunting patrol. rumbleclaw flicked his long, brown tail.

dewpaw lightly sighed as her friends walked off to train. she knew the training was important for them to be chosen to be medicine cat apprentice, but now she just was left in her mind. her head lay down on the green grass, closing her blue eyes.

cookie nodded, blinking her large green eyes. "they live just a bit out of the bunch of the nests." she mewed, her ears flicking. "what are you guys doing here anyways? this is my yard, after all.." she said, hitting her tail on the fence that divided her yard from the woods. her head was tilted, unaware of the clan that lived just over the tree line.

My eyes narrowed, tail beginning to twitch. "I don't want to sound rude, but this is not your yard. Your yard is on the other side of that fence, the side closest to your twoleg's den. This side is my territory. My clan lives in this forest, and Ravenclaw here just happened to stumble upon you in it." I meowed, the kind tone a little strained at the kittypet's ignorance. Taking a deep breath, i struggled for a moment before flattening the fur that had begun to rise.

Ravenclaw: he turned and growled, who did that cat think she was saying she owned the yard? He walked slowly next Amberstar. His tail flicked as he stared at the she cat. He knew that the she-cat was no match for both of them.

(I cant wait to see if Ravenclaw becomes deputy!)

the she-cat shook her head, "actually, my twolegs own a lot of this forest. they often go in and pad around on a trail they have." the cat sighed, "so, actually, this is my yard. even though, i couldn't care less. still, why come so close to the twolegs? some aren't very happy to see stray cats." she said, noticing them both getting angry. she backed, up sighing. were all clan cats so touchy like these two?

Sunnygaze | Medicine Cat | Tagging, Batpaw, Petalpaw

Sunnygaze stopped when they arrived at the field. She looked over at the two.

"Alright. There's goldenrod growing at the field's edges," she explained, nodding in the direction of the flowering weeds. "Batpaw, you know what they smell like, correct?" She looked down at the two apprentices. "Collecting them is simply enough. Dig at the base, then chew through the stalk right where the color changes from green to white. Batpaw, you should chew right where the plant starts to get hard." She walked over towards the flowers. "Off to work!"

Silverclaw | Warrior | Tagging, Amberstar, Ravenclaw, Cookie

Silverclaw bounded to catch up with Amberstar. He saw Ravenclaw and the kittypet, and stayed a pace or two away from the three cats, incase something happens. He flicked his tail in irritation as the kittypet lay claim to their territory.

"It does not matter what twolegs do," Silverclaw snapped. "They can walk where they wish, and we respect that. But you are a housecat. You are not allowed in these woods." He stepped up to Amberstar. "We do not hunt here often, but sometimes we have no choice. I know there are a few herbs that only grow here, as well."

Petalpaw nodded once Sunnygaze said what to do. Petalpaw padded to the edge of the field and monitored for Goldenrod. Once she had found a patch she began digging at the roots of one. She then bit at where the color changed. Once detached she began a group of them. She repeated this until she had a couple. Petalpaw picked up these in her mouth and went to Sunnygaze. She put them at the medicine cat's paws, and looked up at her.

Smiling slightly at Silverclaw's words, i nodded. "Like Silverclaw said, despite the fact that your twolegs can walk here, this is our territory. And since you are not a twoleg, whom we have no way to communicate with and ask them to leave our territory, you may not walk here." At Cookie's words, however, my defenses shot back up on high, and my aggitation rose as well. "We are not stray cats, or loners or rogues or kittypets like you. We are clan cats. We are a family, a group that has come together and bonded despite our pasts, despite who we are, despite every instinct that once told us that we shouldn't. We are feirce, we are loyal, we are intelligent. We.Are.Warriors." I hissed slightly, my heart and tone ringing with pride at my family and who we were and still are. By now i couldn't care less what Cookie said, or if she joined the clan, but if she insulted my family, my source of pride and joy, one more time, i would attack. I shot a glance at Ravenclaw and Silverclaw, silently telling them to get ready in case things got...complicated.

Sunnygaze let out a happy purr as Petalpaw approached. "Perfect!" she said, sniffing the goldenrod and checking the stalks to make sure the apprentice had done her job correctly. "Great job collecting them. Now let's wait for Batpaw."

Silverclaw | Warrior | Tagging, Amberstar, Ravenclaw, Cookie

Silverclaw rushed up to Cookie, standing in front of the kittypet protectively. "Amberstar, Ravenclaw," he snapped. "Calm down. We don't need to have a fight. We can settle this peacefully."

I hissed slightly as Silverclaw quickly stepped in front of Cookie, defending the molly. We didn't even know the kittypet and a cat of my clan was already leaping to her aid. "Silverclaw." I warned, my tail lashing behind me as my golden eyes narrowed.

"Think rationally," he snapped with equal determination. "We're warriors. We don't go around attacking kittypets, no matter how mouthy they are." He swished his tail back and forth. "We don't need to hurt her if she doesn't hurt us."
