Hello, hello, and welcome to the DWMA! We are very excited to have you here!

As you already know, you are all here as either a weapon or a meister to train as a pair and learn to keep the world safe from the evils that plague it. You and your partner will need to collect the souls of 99 kishins and one witch in order to create a death scythe, a weapon used by Lord Death himself! Should you be successful, you will be able to contribute not only to the protection of this world but the people within it especially. Got it? Okay, moving on!

Here at Death Weapon Meister Academy, DWMA for short, we have only the finest staff and methods to ensure your top education! However, it is also up to you to do well yourself! Students live either in the dorms or in nearby apartments with their partners. The choice is up to you.

This roleplay takes place many, many years after the original Soul Eater cast would have already graduated and moved on to higher work. They will NOT be included in this roleplay. This is ocs only! Sorry. Hehe. Any who, you can play a meister, weapon, teacher, or villain of some sort (witch, kishin, etc.) Feel free to get creative with your characters, and have some fun! Oh, and you get to pick your partner, so everyone can agree who's with who. :)

Personality

Hally is incredibly stubborn and doesn't like listening to others. She always follows her heart and so if she feels something is right she will hold onto it, no matter what others say. She's more than willing to put her life on the line for a friend and is extremely loyal, however when betrayed is hard to earn back trust from. She isn't a fan of second chances in most cases and it can take awhile for her to warm up to someone again after she feels they have betrayed her trust.

Hally is actually quite nice, though, and isn't a mean person by nature. She cares a lot about others, including strangers, and is always willing to lend a hand. She goes by the 'no man left behind' policy and would never intentionally put others in danger. She likes making friends and is rather easy to get along with too.

On the flipside, if you tick her off Hally will absolutely kick your butt. She's not the toughest girl, but when angered can be potentially quite violent or dangerous. She cannot do martial arts like many meisters due to her upbringing, but she can hold her own in a fight at least to a point. She's quite intelligent and gets excellent grades in school and spends a lot of her free time reading and writing poetry.

History

Hally was born and raised in Holsbury, Connecticut as an only child by her extremely religious mother and father. Her life basically consisted of home, school, and church, and her parents rarely let her go anywhere or do much, preferring she focused on her studies and prayer. Because of her many restrictions she often felt secluded from others and never really had any friends growing up. She was often alone and spent most of her free time reading, writing poetry, listening to music, and taking walks on the nearby beach when she thought she could sneak away.

Just this year Hally was inspired to join the DWMA by a cousin who had recently graduated. He'd snuck off and attended the school without the knowledge of anyone in their family, managing to convince his parents it was a Catholic boarding school. Of course, they were horrified to learn the truth. However, Hally found it incredibly inspiring and managed to convince him to help her sneak away and get there as well, excited for a change of pace and a chance to do something she wanted to do. He signed her up, and soon she was enrolled.

Her ankle became very badly I.nursed during a fight with a kishin. The scar is deep and not properly healed due to being reopened multiple times, so it does flare up suddenly now and then, causing her to have excruciating pain often enabling her unable to walk. If reopened in battle it can potentially cripple her, leaving her weak to attack, so she is always especially careful to watch for any attacks that may hit it.

Hally is blind in one eye, though she isn't quite sure why. She has no memories of her life up until the age of seven and whenever she's asked her parents they've skillfully avoided the subject. However, her real eye color is in fact a nice, darker blue that now only shows itself during soul resonance. At some point one eye became blind and the other changed colors to a light green, but again, when or how this happened she is unaware of.

Relationships

Jonathan Cross

Her father. The two aren't incredibly close and are at odds on many things. He's the pastor at their local church and a religious man at heart. Very intelligent and motivated though not the most loving of fathers. He does truly care for her despite their differences, though it often isn't evident. The two rarely get along and Hally is quite frightened of the idea of him finding her and dragging her home.

Mary Cross

Her mother. They're closer than her and her father though not by much. She's a nurse at a hospital in the next town from where Hally grew up and is very religious. She's quite serious, much like her husband, and is very concerned for Hally's future. She worries easily but isn't very warm or motherly in nature. Though her relationship with Hally is better than her husband's, she too is often at odds with her and Hally fears her arriving as well.

Justin Cross

Her older cousin, a death scythe, Justin is a fun loving and kind hearted person. Like the rest of their family, he is very religious, though he takes it in a different light and is much more open minded of things. Whereas their family would faint upon meeting Lord Death, he willing ran away to attend his school. He's a vibrant, hyper guy who's constantly on the move and Hally's biggest inspiration. She looks up to him as a sort of role model.

Personality

Rylan is very sweet and rather on the shy side. He prefers to let others do the talking and for him to just listen. Naturally, this of course makes him a great person to talk to and he's always willing to lend a shoulder to cry on. He's very caring and kind to others, whether he knows them or not. He treats others fairly and never judges someone until he knows them.

Unfortunately, Rylan's soft-hearted nature makes him an easy target and he's quite the pushover. He doesn't like standing up for himself and is very easy to push around or manipulate. He also has a hard time with the idea of fighting and prefers the idea of pacifism. Fortunately, he's a weapon, so he doesn't have to do the actual fighting anyways. Otherwise, he would have no interest in joining DWMA as a meister.

Rylan is incredibly smart and very clever. He's a deep thinker by nature and tends to see the beauty in everything as well. No matter what he always seems to find the good in something or someone, no matter how bad.

History

Rylan was born into a wealthy family in Japan. He was the youngest of three children, and by the time he was eight his two older brothers were already in university, so he was practically raised as an only child. Though he was never too close with his father, a busy businessman with little time for anything but his work, Rylan was very close to his mother whom he spent practically all his time with. He was nearly inseparable from her. She was sweet and kind and taught him to be the same. It was her that showed him the beauty in the world and who taught him to always see it no matter what. He loved her very much.

When Rylan was eleven, his mother fell ill. She was sick and bedridden, but still she always had a smile on her face. He spent most his time either in her room listening to her read to him or out in the garden taking care of her flowers while she rested. This went on for two years before finally, when he was thirteen years old, she died. The day she died it was spring, and a cherry blossom tree outside her window had bloomed. That day in particular they had a sudden snowfall, and as she died, snow and blossom petals mixed outside. That was the most beautiful moment of Rylan's life, because to him, that was his mother as her soul left, showing him one last time the beauty she always saw everywhere.

It was at 14 that Rylan discovered his ability to transform himself into a weapon. He found out when an arrow suddenly shot from his arm and nearly broke a window in his dad's study. He had heard of the DWMA and wanted to go, but his father refused, telling him he needed to focus on regular school so he could get into a good university. However, finally, after two years he's managed to convince hmm to let him enroll, and now Rylan will start as a new student.

Relationships

Elizabeth Hates

A sweet, kind, caring woman, she is Rylan's late mother. She was a beautiful woman both inside and out who showed Rylan how to see the beauty in the world. When he was eleven she fell ill with a deadly disease and died two years later, however, she continues to influence and motivate Rylan even today and he still considers her the most important person in his life.

Kade Hates

Rylan's father, Mr. Hates is a successful businessman who takes his job very seriously. He is a serious man with no time for nonsense who always drives his sons to be the best. While not the most warm or loving of parents, he does honestly care for his three children and wants only the best for them and their futures. Rylan and his father don't talk much, but they're not on bad terms.

Jacob Hates

His oldest brother, Jacob is married to his pregnant wife. He works in their father's company and is the most serious and successful of the brothers. Due to a large gap in age Rylan and him aren't close and rarely talk.

Thomas Hates

His other brother, Thomas is goofy and fun loving and generally a very friendly and likeable guy. Though they aren't very close due to the gap in age, Rylan and Thomas do get along well and speak more often than Rylan and Jacob. Thomas is known to randomly call him at times and even drop by once in a rare while.

Physical Description:
Katsu has a nice build with a slight hint of a six pack from working out in his free time. He has scruffy blonde hair and forest green eyes. He is tall, around 5’6”, and a nice weight to boot. His skin is a dark tan color. He wears an off white dress shirt with an undone tie around his neck and a few buttons unbuttoned. He wears black slacks and black sneakers to go with them.

Personality:
Katsu is a kid who just wants to do what he wants to do. He is a lazy child as well, and he does not really care for what other people think. In the end, however, he does do his work, because someone ends up getting hurt, and he can't stand that. Other things he can't stand are blood, gore, and death.

History:
Katsu grew up with a rich family background and he usually got anything and everything he wanted. When he became a weapon, his family sent him off to the DWMA, which he hated. At first, he always plotted on how to get back home, but then he met his meister (unknown for now) and decided to stay.

Physical Description:
Souma is a short girl for her age, around four foot three. She is thin, but not too thin, and does have a nice build. Not nice for modeling, but just nice overall. She has pale skin, as if she lived in a basement all of her life, and she has frail, dainty hands. But don't let her looks fool you, Souma is actually very strong for how she looks, and she will not let you forget it any time soon. She has dark blue eyes and long, black hair that is usually kept in a messy looking bun.

Souma wears a white dress shirt with a black sweater vest over it. Jeans are her normal attire for her legs and she wears light blue sneakers with black socks on her small feet. Black framed sunglasses cover her eyes so no one can see her actual eye color, though she sometimes will take her glasses off.

Personality:
Souma is a kind and gentle girl… Unless you get on her bad side. Then she has a cold sense of humor and will not let anything get in her way. She can be a very scary person, and she is cold and calculating when fighting. On her good side, she is very bubbly and happy.

History:
Souma does not remember much of her past, mainly because it was such a horrible past. Her mother walked out on her and her father wasn't very nice. She finally ran away when she was twelve and ended up in Death City after passing out in the desert surrounding it. She woke up in the DWMA, and actually became a Meister. She has been going after souls ever since then.
