Now this fella is a very special bug, in fact he is probably the most known of all the tortoise beetles, the Golden Tortoise Beetle(Charidotella sexpunctata). This insect is pretty much a legend. It has the absolutely fascinating, mindblowing ability to change its colors by controlling the colorful fluids inside its shell. So while it is mainly known from its standard golden color, it can change to a completely different, ladybug-like pattern or somewhere in between. Among these color possibilities is the pearly shade seen in the picture above, which is a result of its shell's fantastic iridescence.

At first I wanted to color a standard golden pony, but then I thought it would be much more fun to represent the shell's iridescence instead and play with these colorful hues. Hopefully you will enjoy it ^^.

Oh! That glass beach horse!... That must have taken FOREVER to draw! It is beautiful. All the beach horses are gorgeous. Berkshire you must be sick of drawing water by now but I think you've mastered this element! Ha ha! Wonderful job.

Loving all the pets this month, but my favorites so far are definitely the Glass Beach horse and the Tasmanian tiger cat. I can't wait to see the rest of the rainbow dogs though!

I really love the Hyenas, even tho it makes me a Little wussy they are in the Dog category. Hyenas Count to the Feliformia, which means "cat-like" xD
