Peris tightened her ponytail and leaned back into her seat as she did her phone screen showed her father calling her again but again she declined it once more, she sent a text saying 'I can't talk now, I'll call you when I can dad.' Peris went back to her tab with the book on it and continued reading.

"Same here!" I called over to Lucy, before feeling a buzz coming from my pocket. Pulling out my Iphone-5s, i ran my fingers over its steven universe case before checking the notification. It was from my sister, Calypso. She lived with another set of parents, in another state, but we kept in touch through messages.

Drama Queen(Calypso): Hey sis! Heard u were going on a "field trip", cts?
Me: Its not a field trip i'm gonna b working w/ some challenge ponies latr and i have 2 travel 2 get 2 the place they r kept
Drama Queen(Calypso): PONIES?!!! I <3 PONIES!! TELL ME WHICH 1 U R GONNA WORK WITH!

I laughed softly at my sister's excitment. Calypso adored horses, almost as much as me...but sometimes she went a little overboard when expressing her love for them. Tucking a stray strand of purple hair behind my ear, i continued typing.

Me: Idk yet, sorry I'll tell u when i find out.
Drama Queen(Calypso): U betta! Btw, what r u wearing today?
Me: Why do u need 2 know that?
Drama Queen: Idk...maybe cause i want to?
Me: Fine....

I looked down at myself before typing another reply

Me: I'm wearing a horse graphic t, acid washed denim shorts, ankle socks, and my chucks...as 4 accesories, im wearing the watch u sent me 4 xmas, my panda earrings and pearl earrings, and my quote bracelets....the riding ones.
Drama Queen(Calypso): OMG I KNEW IT!!
Me: What?
Drama Queen(Calypso): I woke up this morning and was all like "I tots know dat Vi is gonna wear her watch 2day!!" OMG I WAS TOTS RIGHT!
Me: *facepalm*

As my text stated, i promptly face palmed.

Looking up from my phone, i glanced out the window, wondering how much time had past. The sky was still a light blue, with the occasional puff of white breaking through. Turning my head back around, i plugged my earbuds in and began listening to music.

Vale pulled the track and trailer into a gas pump. She shut off the engine and opened the door. Then
she turned to the boys “Go use the bathroom, and buy food.” She said.
Vale jumped out and started to pump fuel into the truck. The two boys’ took their money and headed in to the store. Kayden led the way followed by Joe. They stopped on the sidewalk to wait for the girl’s form the van.

She pulled into the pump near the truck. She looked around the van as she turned off the engine. Lucy took the key out and put it in the center consul. “Bathroom and Snack break.” She said, “In out as fast as possible.” She looked at the girls. “Would someone take my money in and buy me a propel and some cookies?” She asked the van.

I would have offered to buy Lucy her snack, but i had to go to the restroom really bad. Leaping out of the van i raced into the store, and into the bathroom.

3 minutes later i was out of the bathroom, and with forty dallors in my hand, i was browsing the shelves of food, my purple pony tail falling over my shoulder occasionally. "Ummmm...how about....Lays...sour cream and onion.....and A rootbeer..." I muttered to myself, grabbing the family sized bag of chips and the root beer bottle off the shelf. I payed for my food, and then lounged on a bench outside the store, my phone out and snapping pictures of a finch that had landed nearby.
