You stumble across a large hole in the ground. A dark tom cat pokes his head out and meets your gaze. "Hello Traveler..." He says, his voice soft. "I see you've stumbled across our home, care to stay?"

"What is this?"

This is GrottoClan. A group of cats who live for the most part underground. They have a camp set up below the earth, sometimes having to travel through water to reach their dens. These cats like the water, and are strong swimmers. Their dens float in case of a flood, and they have escape tunnels, high enough up in case they need to evacuate. If you think you're up to the tests nature has to offer, why don't you join us?

"Okay. What do I get if I join your Clan?"

You are offered protection, in return for this protection and having other cats help to keep you well fed and safe, you offer up your service to them as well. This means hunting and fighting for you Clan, being loyal to your Clan above all things, and learning the ways of the Warrior Code. The entire Clan is like your family. You help them, and they help you.

"The Warrior Code?"

Yes. These are the rules you must abide by. Sometimes there are exceptions where this Code must be broken, but for the most part, you must follow it. Failure to do so will most likely result in some form of punishment. This may include, being sent to do apprentice tasks, such as cleaning the dens, being confined to camp, and in some severe cases, banishment.

The Warrior Code:
1.) Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
2.) Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
3.) Elders, queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. If any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat while the elders, queens, and kits are eating.
4.) Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
5.) A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6.)Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
7.)A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
8.)The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires or is exiled.
9.)After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
10.) A Gathering all the Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
11.) Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
12.) No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan.
13.)The word of the Clan Leader is the warrior code.
14.)An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his/her battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense.
15.)A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
16.) Each Clan has the right to be proud and independent, but in times of trouble they must forget their boundaries and fight side by side to protect each other. Each Clan must help the others so that no Clan will fall.

RULES:
*Follow all of Tess's rules.
*No swearing. Warrior swears such as "Fox-Dung" is fine.
*No being your own mate/crush
*No being your own mentor/apprentice
*Do not kill off anyone's cat without their permission.
*Keep things realistic. No purple cats with wings.
*No Mary-Sues or anything of the such.
*Keep names traditional. Nothing like Glitterstar or Donutfur.
*When replying, please try to make it something others can reply back to. Instead of just "Smallpaw sat down." What else can you add? "Smallpaw sat down and looked across the camp. She spotted Hazelpaw sitting outside the entrance to the apprentice's den."

Personality: A kind and considerate tom, Snakestar puts the wellbeing of his Clan before anything else. He is very agile, and will often leap from rock to rock to avoid the river. Unlike most cats in GrottoClan, Snakestar tends to avoid the water. He is not a strong swimmer, though he can swim. He would much rather keep his paws dry.

History: He was born into the Clan as a regular cat. His father died when the camp flooded last. He was unable to make it to the escape tunnels in time. Snakestar's mother left to become a kittypet, she found life in the Clan to be too dangerous. She brought her only son, Snakekit with her. When he was old enough, Snakekit ran away from the Twolegs and made his way back to the Clan where he began his apprentice training and was welcomed back.

Personality: Vixenspots used to be a very happy cat, kind to all, and very caring. That was before the flood. During the flood, her only kit, Goosekit, a little tom, the only memory of her mate, Dewfoot, drowned. The flood waters swept him away. Vixenspots was never the same afterwards. She stopped showing emotion almost altogether. She instead takes out her emotions through hunting and fighting. She can often be seen unconsciously clawing her nest to shreds, her eyes clouded with sadness. She's really just a husk of a cat now. All of her faith in StarClan is gone, she feels like it's their fault that her mate and her son are dead. She continues to serve her Clan though.

History:Led a normal life until Goosekit drowned.

She can be angered easily, but tries to stat calm at times.

He isn't short-tempered, he can be a bit rude at times and tends to get foolish. Now for his skills: He isn't the best hunter, nor is he great. He is a better fighter though. He doesn't like to swim much, but if he has to , he will.
