He was more than happy to stay with her. He went over to the dry area and sat down, curling his striped tail over his paws. A small purr rumbled in Cougar's throat.

Flowertail smiled at the tom, which was hard to say if was a real one or not. Flowertail's heart stirred when she looked at Cougar. He reminded her to much of him. And that hurt. She she-cat distracted herself by licking her fur in an attempt to dry it faster.

Flameclaw

Flameclaw sat stoicly a few tail lengths away from the rest of the patrol as Flowertail sat with the rogues. His ear stung but he wasn't about to leave his clanmate alone with the two rogues. Even in a the middle of camp. He heard Cougar's purr and glanced between him and Flowertail, What's He so happy about? Probably that he thinks he'll get to join the clan. Flameclaw looked away from Cougar and towards Summer, he didn't trust the she cat and was pretty sure she knew it. Flameclaw was reminded of the reason as blood dripped down his face.

He saw hurt in the she cat's eyes and his eyes were clouded in concern as he lightly tapped her shoulder with his paw lightly and gave her a questioning look. He felt upset. He wanted to talk to her.

I open my muzzle to taste the air. Definately rouge. But not what we smelled at the pile. I give a small nod. Turning to Troutsplash, I speak. "Yes. I smell rouge. But it's not what we smelled at the pile. It smells like a queen." I flick my tail in the direction of the scent.

Flowertail was staring off as Cougar tapped her shoulder. His eyes were clouded with concern as he looked at her and the she-cat's heart clenched. He had no idea what had happened, yet the tom was being kind, so she quickly stopped herself from hissing at him. Normally Flowertail would use her anger at the tom, but this was... different. "You just remind me of someone... that's all." The she-cat meowed, trying to hide the sadness and hurt that still lingered in her voice.

He tilted his head. Why did she look so sad? Obviously to remind her of someone, it had to be a tom who was close to her for her to be sad about it also. Her mate! That was it. His eyes widened.
