Bonus Task
My Plans for Soots in the Future
The first thing I will do is set the halter drawing I did of Soots as my Avatar. I would like to continue writing about Soots and his interactions with Teese and the other Narakari. I will also be drawing him some more; he is such a lovely boy. I don't really have any plans to breed him myself unless I find a really great female that suits him well. I will be leaving him up for others to breed with him though so if anyone wanted to they could just ask me for a breeding.


I do have my big task started too so hopefully I will be able to finish it soon so I can post it right away when the time comes. I have been so busy lately it has been hard finding time to draw. The summer has gone by so fast.

I've been holding off on tricking someone because I feel kind of bad about it, but I think I'll give it a try.
Chouhesi has been doing really well and I don't think it will hurt their chances too much so I'm going to go with tricking Chouhesi.

I'm using Teese's twin brother Teeze since Teese would never do a trick on anyone.


Teeze quietly snuck around in the little meadow where Raven's golden lady slept peacefully. He carried with him a pail of berries and other goodies. As he moved along he carefully placed his distractions where the beautiful Narakari would be able to find them without much difficulty. He was sure to bring enough of a variety of things to keep the lady interested while also bringing enough to make it difficult for Raven to clean them up. When he was finished emptying his pail he made his way to another pail he had sitting off to the side. This one was filled with water which he poured out onto an area of exposed dirt resulting in a good sized mud puddle that Teeze had heard would be irresistible to the lady 'kari.
The watar splashed as it hit the ground and the lady started at the sound and turned her eyes to the intruder. Teeze was expecting this which is why he saved the water for last and poured the water quickly. He watched the Narakari carefully and when she spun toward him he didn't bother shaking out the last drop, but proceeded to run to the fence snatching up the other pail as he went. When he got to the barrier he threw the pails over and quickly climbed out just barely escaping injury as the hell horse reached the fence below him. Safely on the other side Teeze picked up his pails so as to not leave any evidence and then rushed back home before Raven could catch him.
Teeze was pleased with his little trick and he was sure the pretty Narakari he had just treated would like it too.

Day X - some last gifts

I think all the Day X stuff is done, now. There are just four little gifts left. Please don't get envious those gifts are all well deserved for a lot of work for this species, keeping a good mood in the snuggery and finally for having a lot of patience with me and always an open ear. So let me drop some custom Narakari here and after all hide in the shadows again, just to prepare everything for the rest of this year.

And no, I am not kidding. You can write Rūn moji instead, if that helps. I do love Japanese. It means Runic, or even Runes only, not an expert there. Either way, it fits. ^^

Oh, and in case Snowi doesn't know about the meaning of her boy's rune:
It's Thurisaz. Literally, it means “Thurses” or “Giants”. It's a rune that combines so much, I can't put it into a single sentence.

I had a terrible day yesterday. Don't want to get into it, but I ended up sleeping in my back yard to avoid going in my house.
I woke up to this and I can't help but crying. Yama I actually love it, his name is going to be Dallas. He's going to be so welcomed into my herd, a fitting stallion that will probably tag around Rohkeus.

About Feelings
The weather was changing again. It was actually rather easy to tell when you were as attuned to the environment as Isì, and indeed most of her kind. Of course, the fact that she was currently sat in the paddock staring up at the sunset sky, whilst Tomcat and the now dramatically calmer Hysmine watched curiously, made it a little easier to tell. Just a little.

It was a calm day though, and most of the other riders were out at a competition, leaving just Isì and the kitsune, Amai, to look after the stables. On this particular day this didn't include much - Of all the Narakari it was just the semi-wild herd, the 'doppelgänger' two, Freki, Amai's Caffe Macchiato and Isì's two left. It was certainly strange for the atmosphere of the stables to feel this quiet.
With a sigh of contentment, she lay back on the grass and resumed her cloud gazing. "It's been a strange few months, 'Cat, Hysmine. Who would have guessed either of you would be in the same paddock at the beginning of all that time?"
Hysmine blinked his emerald eyes slowly, contently. She was so very proud of the steps the stallion had progressed along over the course of their training. The fact he was perfectly happy for her and Tomcat to be in the same paddock as him was proof enough.

Isì set down the case she had brought with her into the paddock and opened it to take out the violin stored within. Her kind traditionally only sung to mark rare occasions like the crowning of a new ruler in one of the Fae Courts, or as warning of a coming disaster, but Isì and her more modern siblings had always been drawn to music and song. She hadn't practiced with her violin for a while and had thought her Narakari might like to listen in. It had been because she'd been training Hysmine that she hadn't been practising, after all.
Getting to her feet and adjusting the violin against her neck, she poised her bow over the strings, ready to play.

"Once in a thousand years we sing,
Of the changings of weather; when the Court choose their king.
And so heed my words, though this song is my own
Of a prince and his warrior and the land they do roam,"

Isì winked at the two Narakari who were watching her inquisitively, clearly intrigued as to the source of the new sound, taking a couple of skipping steps towards Tomcat as she started the next verse of her song. She would rather be dancing, but still feared Hysmine would be spooked if she did. The wild stallion was much better with her and Tomcat than he had been at the beginning of their time together, but he was still skittish.

"The Prince was one whose heart was not hard to win,
He was stubborn indeed, but no more than his kin,
He was tall and quite striking with long chestnut hair,
And a coat like fine ochre rather than fair,"

Maybe she was simply imagining things, but she could have sworn Tomcat's ears pricked up more at her decription of him. She smiled to herself. Typical of the vain stallion, he'd go as far as almost understanding humans for more compliments. Tomcat was truly an apt name for the Narakari who acted almost like a cat with his pride and love of fuss.

"One day the Prince lost his way out of the wood,
And came upon a lone spirit garbed in a hood,
They'd wished for a friend and he for a test,
And together they ran; became known as the best,"

She finished up Tomcat's verses with a careful twirl, watching Hysmine carefully in case she scared him. When his only response was a snort of surprise at the sudden movement she relaxed and stepped closer to give the dun a reassuring pat before continuing. The last thing she wanted to do was undo any of the work she had done to get him to this point.

"The Warrior: a wild soul whose heart was his own,
And patterned with scars where he'd been pulled from his home,
Until a lost forest maiden one day offered him his place,
At the side of the prince and the dangers he faced,"

Far from the frightened and aggressive stallion he had been when they had first met, Hysmine is collected and spirited, with a still rather subdued but very visible personality Isì would never have guessed him to possess if she hadn't been continuously working with him for the last couple of months in order to get him to this point. His ears prick up at her song and he prances towards her, the very picture of a show-off.

"Warrior was a wary one who found it hard to trust,
But the spirit was patient and did what she must,
After gaining his heart the pair became three,
They all ran together, together but free,"

Every time she sees him act like himself she cannot help but smile brightly, knowing it is her work and their bond that brought them to this point. She had never thought Tomcat would be as welcoming as he had been either, even when Hysmine had constantly been bothering the older stallion to try and show his dominance. The two were like human best friends now, any annoyances solely for show. Isì had been so delighted to get to work with Tomcat, having these two both trust her so completely was something she had never dreamed of.

"Now close to each other, in the deer's court they dwell,
Fate tied by a spirit from a far away dell,
No maiden did they meet when lost in the woods,
But one of the deer's kin - her intentions were good,"

The three of them were content with each other, and it was this that Isì clung to, unsure of the future for the once-wild Narakari. In her heart she would love to say they would stay together; that she would get to work with her Hysmine until the world knew their names. The red dun would make a truly splendid eventer with his versatility - Amai had said as much even with her intense bias downwards Caffè Macchiato.
To be honest, she would be happy to just see the stallion everyday, regardless of her high expectations for his future.

"They live amongst humans, in this story I see,
The prince and the warrior alongside the
One of the deer's court, with the name of Isì,
A strange tale of a girl and her Narakari."

With one last flourish of her bow, Isì bows to her imaginary crowd and blushes as she hears Amai clapping enthusiastically from the dressage practice area. A snort made her look round as Hysmine approaches and nickers softly, nuzzling at her hair. The nature spirit closed her eyes with a smile, wrapping her arms around the dun Narakari's neck.
"Thank you for trusting me. I hope I can be worthy of that trust, my lovely Hysmine."
