She sighed "Could you at least make an effort to be happy?" it sounded quiet and slightly raspy. It was so different from her usually happy personality that it would be shocking to any cat. She sat down and rested her head on the wall of the den.

Flowertail murmured,"I know you're wondering a lot, over there. I know you cannot ask with words, so I'll try my best to talk with you through your motions and gestures." Her tail flicked. "I'm sorry this came to attacking. But we care for one another like a family, and we protect eachother with our lives."

Sunpaw meowed,"These two, Thistle and Venom," he paused indicating which cat was which, "want to join our clan." Sunpaw stated it simply, but was wary of the two. There were tons of rouges trying to join the clan. But why?

He nodded and wished he had grown up with something like that. He knew people would mix up anything he said, so his only chance was mouthing stuff. What is a clan? he mouthed.

The poor molly resisted the urge to slap a dainty paw across her face, yelp, and rocket out of the den. She had to handle mouse bile a lot, actually, since she tended to Noeyes and Cactusfoot many a time, but that didn't mean she'd ever grow used to the stink of it. Crinkling her little black nose and carefully, cautiously, grabbing the bundle in her teeth, Flarepaw called out, her voice high-pitched, to Tinypaw as she followed him out of the den, "Thank you!"
Eager to set down the moss as it was making her eyes water and her teeth probably rot, the oriental shorthair streaked off to the elders' den. She didn't think she'd been touched by a single raindrop, she'd gone so fast!

The dark brute had to restrain himself from letting out a mild chuckle.. He had to admit, the long-legged, ebony apprentice looked rather amusing as he toppled to the ground, squeaking pitifully all the way. Hawkcry was tempted to ask, as Batpaw regained his footing and limped back to him, if he was done yet, if he was ready to yield, but the tom looked willing to try again. Not ready to give up, eh? Feisty, hard-headed, and a stubborn one.. All good traits for what is to come.
He also seems to be rather beat-up and exhausted.. all because I keep knocking him down. Poor Batpaw has to learn how vulnerable he really is to having a cat shunt him over - he has going hearing, but it isn't enough to save him with every fight. He's rather easy to trip with those long legs of his, but enough with making him fall and feel miserable for now.
Hawkcry dove forward then, stopping before the turqoise-eyed male and rearing up on his hind legs. Still balancing himself above Batpaw, he meowed, "Let's try something standing up. As you probably know, this move is for cats with strong legs, and you have them. Rear up, then."

Noeyes purred mischievously around a hunk of hare as she heard the apprentices leave. She mumbled to Cactusfoot, who was eating his own meal, "Well, you're right about one thing, old friend.. They know how to treat their elders right. I do indeed love having young cats run about to do your bidding.."

Why so many cats that would like to join us..? These two are, what, the sixth rogue incident we've had in the span in two days? Great StarClan! But the long-legged, massive-eared male didn't betray his puzzlement and slight frustration with the rogues, he simple stepped around Sunpaw and addressed the first she-cat he'd indicated to, Thistle. Scorchstar meowed, probing and being a little nosy, though it was his job, "As for you? I know you seek DesertClan and everything we have to offer, but why? What is your conviction, if I may inquire?"

Jackalhowl - Warrior of DesertClan - Tomcat - 35 moons - Tags; Waterheart (OPEN!)

Jackalhowl sighed with relief as she left, shifted slightly to avoid getting dotting with even more rain drops, and closed his eyes. If he couldn't move about with the weather being the way it was, he could at least make the most of this leisure time and nap.

Flowertail took a moment to decipher what the tom had said, since reading lips wasn't he greatest skill. "What is a clan?" The Lynx Point asked, before answering. "Well... a clan is where I live. It's a large grouping of cats, mind you, very large, that lives together. We all live under a code, telling us our do's and don't's, and it brings us balance and harmony. We all believe in StarClan, well, I hope we all do, and we defend the codes with our lives. There's a lot mpre to it then that, but that's the basics."

Sunpaw stepped out of the way, giving his leader and mentor spaces to question and speak to the rouges. His mind buzzed. Would Scorchstar allow the two in? After all, the clan was already seeing more and more rouges joining, which could be bad a thing, or a good thing. It all mattered on what perspective you had.

She lifted her head. "Alot of cats? How many?" the she-cat asked. "ten? Twenty?" the loner asked slowly. She tilted her head and licked her paws. "More?" she asked and stood up, stretching. "More than the loners and rouges, I know..." she sighed.

He smiled and nodded, liking how it sounded. He wondered if he should join, or if he should stay a loner. Being a loner was, well, lonely. He heard Summer and knew it was a ton more.

"More." Flowertail meowed, blinking her blue eyes. "Much more." She didn't want to give them the real number- that could put their clan in danger. As of now the two strangers could know that there was more then twenty.
