Scorchstar nodded his angular, sleek head, murmuring with a little sigh, "I know you won't. I trust you to bring in this thief and for there not to be any fighting. Whoever it was that stole our food, please try to persuade them to come peacefully. I don't want another "Hawkcry and Snow" incident again, Troutsplash." With a duck of his head to the two warriors, testing the seasoned warrior would get the task done. He then turned back to Cobrasong, patiently mewing, "Now, where were we?"

The poor molly resisted the urge to slap a dainty paw across her face, yelp, and rocket out of the den. She had to handle mouse bile a lot, actually, since she tended to Noeyes and Cactusfoot many a time, but that didn't mean she'd ever grow used to the stink of it. Crinkling her little black nose and carefully, cautiously, grabbing the bundle in her teeth, Flarepaw called out, her voice high-pitched, to Tinypaw as she followed him out of the den, "Thank you!"
Eager to set down the moss as it was making her eyes water and her teeth probably rot, the oriental shorthair streaked off to the elders' den. She didn't think she'd been touched by a single raindrop, she'd gone so fast!

The dark brute had to restrain himself from letting out a mild chuckle.. He had to admit, the long-legged, ebony apprentice looked rather amusing as he toppled to the ground, squeaking pitifully all the way. Hawkcry was tempted to ask, as Batpaw regained his footing and limped back to him, if he was done yet, if he was ready to yield, but the tom looked willing to try again. Not ready to give up, eh? Feisty, hard-headed, and a stubborn one.. All good traits for what is to come.
He also seems to be rather beat-up and exhausted.. all because I keep knocking him down. Poor Batpaw has to learn how vulnerable he really is to having a cat shunt him over - he has going hearing, but it isn't enough to save him with every fight. He's rather easy to trip with those long legs of his, but enough with making him fall and feel miserable for now.
Hawkcry dove forward then, stopping before the turqoise-eyed male and rearing up on his hind legs. Still balancing himself above Batpaw, he meowed, "Let's try something standing up. As you probably know, this move is for cats with strong legs, and you have them. Rear up, then."

Noeyes purred mischievously around a hunk of hare as she heard the apprentices leave. She mumbled to Cactusfoot, who was eating his own meal, "Well, you're right about one thing, old friend.. They know how to treat their elders right. I do indeed love having young cats run about to do your bidding.."

"Yeah.. Have fun, then," Jackalhowl murmured, turning away from the curly-furred, older warrior as he went on his way.. quickly slipping back into his normal, awkward, and miserably quiet self. He tucked his feathery, thick tail over his nose and curled up, mashing himself further into the brush to avoid the worst of the drizzle. Jackalhowl let out a little squeak as water dripped from the bush's branches and onto his head, and curled up tighter into a fidgeting ball. The multi-hued, muscular main coon didn't know who much he could take of this.. When would the rain end?

The she-cat gazed in the direction Cougar was looking at. "He wants to know if your camp is that way?" She said. "He has mute," she answered before starting to lick her paw. She softly lick and bit her shoulder, a flea was probably there.

She cheerfully trotted over to Jackalhowl and wiped the water off his head "Hi Jackalhowl. How are ya?" she wanted to laugh slightly at how miserable the tom looked.

The massive, saturated brute lifted his tail from its position across his muzzle as some cat bounded over to him. Quickly he established the cat to be the chipper, happy-go-lucky Waterheart.. They didn't talk much, as they were polar opposites, what with her being outgoing and Jackalhowl being so introverted. So the surly, thickly-furred male was slightly surprised when she greeted him and pawed aside some of the water that has splattered across his forehead.
The socially awkward tomcat mumbled, turning slightly to stare at her wide his wide, yellow-green eyes, "Hello. Fine, I guess.."

She smiled "Is the rain bothering you? I don't really like it much either." she noticed how surprised he was and held back from rolling around and laughing.

Jackalhowl saw the amusement in her eyes, and saw how she was attempting to control herself from raucously laughing at him, so the main coon turned his back on her, grumpy, and mumbled, "What does it look like?"
I know I look stupid, being one of the biggest and most powerful warriors of the Clan, all huddled under a bush, but you could at least try to hide how funny you think I am, Waterheart.. The burly male thought sullenly, wrapping his bushy, feathery tail back over his nose again.
