The young blonde glanced over at fox-man for a moment. He was a rather tall male, with medium brown hair. He was fairly attractive, though he was quite a bit older than Haylee was. He looked somewhere around five or six years years older than her. The first thing she'd noticed about him, other than his tail and ears, were the tattoos running up his left arm. She quite enjoyed tattoos, though she hasn't had the time to get any for herself. After a bit of starting at him, observantly, Haylee walked over to him. "Hey, Fox-Man." She said, giving him a small smile. "I'm Haylee." She said, glancing up at the man from where she stood, a few feet in front if him. "How does that work?" She asked, morning to his tail and pointing at his ears in turn. She was quite intrigued by the fox-man, considering she was partially a wolf, after all.

Davis Fen || Part-fox
Unsure || Tagged;; Haylee
He grinned, quickly feeling more reassured with some conversation. "I'm Davis, but Fox-Man is a new one," he paused for a second before going over it, "that's a cool name though." It reminded him of superheroes, but he couldn't imagine himself in a cape, late to work with someone in his arms while he drank coffee. Her staring had unnerved him when he realised, yet the person in front of him seemed fairly nice. His tail had been waving about lazily when he asked her, and it retracted to curl around his leg with some sort of small embarrassment. "It's a crap thing to have. The tail and ears can appear without me knowing, and I barely get any fox characteristics; I don't get the snazzy transformation either. It's a result of me screwing up the half-breed thing between a were and human, so I received messed up parts instead of the equal human and fox sides." He stopped talking, wondering if he should be telling so much when he had only known Haylee for a few minutes.

A quick sniff of the air signalled she wasn't a hundred percent human too, but he couldn't tell what. "You don't appear to be the usual either. Mind telling me?"" Davis tugged at his tie again, almost unnoticeable; his coffee he knew he would've made before the new place must've gone cold, and with the lack of it in the present, his reaching for a cup would be never ending.

The man in front of Haylee seemed relieved that someone was talking to him, maybe he didn't feel like a lone fox, for a lack of a better term, any longer. She gave the man a small smile. "Davis, huh? Fox-Man's a cooler name, but, Davis works too." She said, giving a small smirk at him. She listened to him explain his ability to her. "I wouldn't call you messed up." She said, giving him a small smirk. "I'd say you're pretty cool, from where I stand." She said, giving a small friendly smile as she looked up at Davis. "What am I, you ask?" She said, tilting her head to the side slightly. "Are you sure you want to know? Our species wouldn't typically get along..." She said. Haylee moved closer to him before she pushed herself up onto her tiptoes, leaning forward slightly to whisper in his ear. "Wolf." She said the one word before taking a step backward. "But that's not all I can do..." She said, her voice trailing off. Haylee set her rules sheet on the floor in front of him, taking a couple steps backward so that she was standing about ten feet from it. Haylee stared at the piece of paper for a moment, concentrating on it. A moment later, it lifted into the air without anyone touching it, and floated over into Haylee's hands. "Cool, huh?" She asked, walking back over to him with a smirk on her face.

Verath Caraz

As a hand flew into his face, Verath took a few steps back, startled. Who was this guy, and why did he feel the need to interfere? No violent moves had been made. As he kept talking, Verath rolled his eyes. Politeness wasn't his strong suit, but he would try. No need to cause a fuss. These people seemed peaceful enough. Too peaceful for his taste, actually.

Everyone here was so patronizing. He couldn't believe it. Again, he was treated like a child, and the thinly veiled threat almost pushed him over the edge. No matter what this man thought, he would be a formidable opponent. However, now was not the time or place. Someday. He growled, looking away and putting his whips back on his belt. Let him win, for now. He needed to learn more about this place anyways.

He picked up a rule sheet from where it had come to rest by his feet. Some of the rules were blacked out, but he assumed that meant they weren't important. Since he was stuck here, he might as well try not to get in trouble. He joined the back of the group, staying away from Benja. Looking at the ground, he tried his best to calm his nerves. I will get back to you Baelevile... I promise.

It was always this way. There were the first people who arrived, and they usually figured things out quickly enough. It was obvious she had answers. Then the stragglers would come and hide back, making everything slower and harder for her to get back to her desk. The visitors never seemed to realize she was giving up her own time to herd them around Home.

Of course, Matthel would tell her she actually enjoyed dragging this zoo around every few months. She could imagine them now, hands on their hips and bright green eyes all sweet and earnest as they explained to her how she felt. The nerve.

"Come on, then," she stood by the doors, arms crossed and spine stiff. "I thought for sure I had said, 'Follow me', but I must be wrong. It doesn't look like anyone is following." She turned on the spot and stepped outside. They would follow her now, but it would be slow. It was always slow.

She began to stride across the cobblestone courtyard, stopping in the middle underneath the old maple tree. It was nearly as old as the Inn itself, and the branches stretched across the whole of the courtyard, creating a green, quietly rustling canopy. The morning sun was dappling the cut stones underneath, and the Innkeeper began wondering why she didn't go outside more often. The forests were beautiful with young foliage; the grass had yet to be crisped by summer sun, and the sky was a gentle, clear blue.

Davis Fen || Part-fox
Enthusiastic || Tagged;; Haylee
His excitement was evident as the paper moved, thoughts still dawdling on the wolf factor. "Telekinesis?" Davis grinned, readjusting his glasses. "Didn't think it existed, mind control and all that. How does it work anyway? Can you shift properly? There's only so far I can go right now; I was going to practice the fox crap, but," he signalled to the walls of the building, "this happened. I can't remember if I fed my cat with all this." Chuckling, he realised he had felt some irritation with Haylee, but he narrowed it down to the fox and wolf relationship she mentioned. Despite not being able to shift fully (yet), there was some obvious static deep down in him about it. If it was the same with her, he wouldn't know. It was pretty easy to dismiss anyway, so he could forget about it for the moment.

Hearing the woman's words, he glanced at Haylee. "I think she's getting annoyed, I'm gonna follow." He moved to walk behind, eyes widening at the new scenery and whistled. The air was definitely more fresh than London's, and the sky, grass and trees looked healthier, if that made sense. He didn't see that kind of gorgeous place often. His on and off smoking probably didn't help his usual country either.

Haylee watched Davis' face grow with excitement as she lifted the paper with her mind. "Yep." She said, smiling slightly as she glanced over at fox-man. "Well, I can't control minds, just moving things with it." She said, giving a small shrug. "I'm not sure if mind control exists but if telekinesis does, it wouldn't be surprising.." She said. "Well, all I have to do is concentrate on the object I want, and I think of how I want it to move." She said. "It doesn't always work, I surely haven't mastered it yet. It's an in-progress type of thing.." She explained. "My shifting? I can shift fully into a human or a wolf at will, but changing back and forth is excruciatingly painful, and, in wolf form, I can't use my ability." She stated. "I think I was in wolf form before I came here, but when I woke up, I was in human form.." She said, just now thinking about it. Haylee didn't feel annoyed by Davis, really, at all. Though, when you're the wolf, you usually don't hate the fox. She listened to the woman speaking and gave a small nod to Davis, following after him as he followed the lady outside. She glanced around, with wide eyes at the beautiful forest scenery around her. While she was used to the forest, she didn't see one this beautiful often.

      Utterly unaware of what the situation is like downstairs, Tatum continues her path downward, keeping her steps as silent as possible. Her breathing slows, her eyes shut as she diverts her focus to her other senses, attempting to see without really seeing. By smell, there are obvious signs of life, of many kinds for that matter. Humans. Human mixed with wolf, or with fox. Or just... human scent but a little off, maybe not a hundred percent human, but somewhere close to it. It's a whole lot of new and too little answers, which is why Tatum headed downstairs in the first place: to find answers. Still keeping her mind focused on anything but the overly stimulating life-like dream she had of Finn, Tae stops at the foot of the stairs, finally coming across a large group of people of all kinds. One waves in her direction, but she's not confident enough to admit the wave might be directed to her.

      As the group begins to follow some female person at the front of the group, Tatum almost laughs at the absurdity of it all. They looked like a group of kindergartners following their teacher on a field trip. Did the female in front know where she was? Slowly mixing her way into the group, Tatum tries to find someone that is open for conversation, someone that can she can ask if they knew where they were. Yet, by the looks on everyone's faces, they almost seem as lost as her. Well ain't that something... A pair to her right catches her attention, the male looking like her was a half-breed. Mixed with fox? Kinda cool. Easily overhearing their conversation, she hears the female say something about being a wolf. oh.. maybe I'm not the only one then..? Still, Tatum doesn't just shape shift then and there. Tuning out of their conversation, Tae looks around for anyone else to talk to. There's a mix of people around, and she's just not sure on who to talk to. Striking up a random conversation has never been her forte, too awkward and shy to do so. So naturally, Tatum just walks outside with the group, taking in the amazing view. Not even the forest back home was this vivid and beautiful. It takes her breath away, and for a moment she forgets where she even is.

"Quite a view, isn't it," he remarked quietly, leaning over to Tatum. "Nearly makes you forget." He held out a hand, and introduced himself. "I'm Benja. And before you ask that question I know you're going to ask, no; we don't know what's happening. According to the Innkeeper," he pointed to the grey-haired lady standing under the maple tree, "This happens regularly. She did mention we are no longer in our previous realities, either; but I don't know what to think about that. I need coffee to think." He made an expressive face, eyes bright with humour.

      Surprised by the sudden voice, Tatum almost jumps out of her own skin. She hadn't expected anyone to speak to her, figuring there were plenty strangers among them, enough for her to blend in the crowd. However, that much proved to be false. Tatum gives the new male a once over, memorizing his face, though admittedly she has always been mad with names. Benja... Benja... she mumbles the name to herself, trying to keep the name in her mind. Then she takes the hand he has offered, gives it a shake, then smiles at his explanation... or at least the best of what he knows: which pretty much amounts to what she figured. Everyone here is practically in the same boat as she is, still having lots of questions and totally unsure of what's going on. Yeah, beautiful. I love things like this. However, it's hard to forget certain things. Finn Nice to meet you, I'm Tatum. She laughs at his coffee comment, and couldn't agree more. What she wouldn't give for some caffiene right about now. Previous realities? What the heck?? I think I'll need something stronger than coffee for this crazy mess. The statement both worries her and excites her. Not sure on how to react, she decides that before freaking out, it's probably best to just find out everything, take a drink of coffee, and then freak out. That sounds like a good plan.

      Tatum looks over to the gray-haired later in the front, the one she had compared to a kindergartner teacher a little earlier. Her statement hadn't been too far off from the truth either. As lost as she feels, she might as well be back in kindergarten.
