I mostly just do 1x1's now because the amount of group RP's that are dropped and ignored (this happens a lot with 1x1's too though) is crazy. Also there's always the one person who isn't putting in as much effort as the rest, you know? I don't know, I feel like a one on one is a lot easier for me to handle because there's nobody to go ahead of you, etc.

I think some one line roleplays are okay, if it keeps a story going and interaction. But the "He smiled" "She smiled back" gets very very boring. I feel bad because I've had to leave so many XP
Which brings me to my next point of people always leaving RPs. I try and join semi-lit ones if possible, but like I said before, there's always a few people who just dissapear DX Its almost rude to sign up and just leave, because, well... You signed up and we started so.. yeah. I don't know .-. Usually when I do a 1x1 where my partner does shorter posts I try and add more so it can hint to write more haha

When people reply with one sentence or less, it gets extreemly boring.
I try to do at least 4 sentences..

I use to join public roleplays, but now I only do 1x1s. In public rps people either ignore you or the thread just dies (which unfortunately happens a lot with 1x1s as well).

I always have too much anxiety to do a 1 x 1
I hated when people left rps, a lot of the ones I was apart of, everyone left in the middle of the action!
It was very rare that I did a one-liner. I had trouble not writing an entire book as a post haha

im going to admit.. when i first started roleplaying i thought it was a
"rule" to write one-liners for normal roleplays..

i am actually one of those people who abandon one x ones...
NOT ON PURPOSE THOUGH
i always mean to reply, and oftentimes i start to, but i always get so distracted
and then i forget about it
and weeks/months later, when i'm scanning through my old posts, i find that roleplay and i feel horrible because i never replied but it'd be awkward to reply now.
so it's not like i'm purposefully abandoning the rp. my intentions are good, but my actions are not.

Anyone feel like critiquing a realistic fiction secret agent 1-chapter book for me? XD

I love critiquing storys for people lol because I think it is going to help me be able to go to my story and be more... Flexible with what happens. When it comes time to edit it may be easier for me to do my story after helping other people's.

There is a tread that allows experienced writers to critique other people's stories and also help edit them.
I believe it's somewhere in the Discuss and Share your Writing
