"Loose Ends"

Why am I
Obsessed with you?
Was it your hello?
I kept staring,
Your presence daring,
My head was in the sky.
And so it stays,
I’m afraid,
And I can’t stop thinking why.

It’s like an entanglement of cables
Going from my heart to my head
And it tangles more every day
As my feelings progress
All these loose wires
Loose ends
They’re strangling me
For I can’t tie them together
In my mind.

Why am I
Obsessed with you?
Was it your goodbye?
Your eyes so sweet
I felt complete
A plane I’ll always fly
And so it stays,
I’m afraid.
I guess I’ll never know why…
