"Lupus, Anthos! It's just training, not a real fight." Wren panted as she loped away from her assailant. She and her uncle did this every morning for the past few months. They'd wake up before the majority of the pack, just as the sun made its trek across the morning sky, and spar for an hour or so. This stemmed from Wren's insecurities about her strength. The she-wolf was built for hunting; smaller, impeccably quick, and lean. The last one was much to her chagrin. Once, she had organized a large hunt as the lead hunter. Things were going amazingly, they were just about to take down a buck when one of the larger hunters got hurt and she had to finish the job. The buck flung the small fae off like she was a feather and got away. Since then, she's focused on becoming stronger and honing her fighting abilities.

"Be prepared for everything." Chrysanthos, Anthos for short, replied. He was panting as well, but still circling her and ready for another blow. Anthos was one of the finest fighters she'd ever met, which is a part of why he's alpha. Wren shook her head and backed off from their makeshift arena, a circular clearing.

"That's okay, don't want to push the elders." She smiled innocently and her uncle rolled his eyes. "Don't forget I'm the alpha Wren. My niece or not." Instantly, she wiped the smile off her face and sobered. "Right, sorry. I forget sometimes." Anthos was more a brother to her. The two were only two years apart and they used to play together when they were young. Now he has changed and with his rank comes lots of responsibility. The she-wolf dipped her head and turned. "I'm going to catch some breakfast." And with that, she was flying through the trees after a scent.

It was a beautiful morning for early spring. The winter were over for the Leukos wolves and now life would flourish. She could feel it in the way the forest buzzed - from months of cooped up energy finally emerging. The sun was slightly higher in the sky as the she-wolf padded through the forest, bringing light to all the crevices in the ground and trees. This made hunting a lot easier. Wren trotted over a fallen branch and towards her favorite hunting spot. It was secluded, for most wolves wouldn't travel as far as she would. Wren preferred hunting without eyes following her. Her ears pricked at the sound of hollowed footsteps on the forest floor. Judging by the light feet and how quick the steps were, the fae guessed it was a rabbit. Soon after detecting the sounds, a scent wafted to her snout, confirming her original assumption. Wren picked a scent she favored and came across a rabbit drinking from a gurgling brook. Slowly, the female eased into a crouch. Her eyes narrowed in concentration before scanning the brook and everything around it.

Amber eyes stared ruefully through the gaps of the bush in front of her. Though the rabbit expected nothing, to Wren, the air was thick with tension, like a cord stretched taut. With a large leap, Wren caught the animal in her jaws and dispatched it. The animal dangled loosely and swayed as she began her long walk back to camp, where no doubt some wolves would be hungry. The nimble wolf trotted along the trails in absolute silence. She was small for a female, thus light on her feet. Instead of being big and mucular, Wren was smaller and nimble. It gave her a large advantage in hunting, so she put all her effort toward her rank and it payed off for her.

Anthos watched his niece walk away and sighed. He wished he could joke with her like he used to. Becoming the alpha made him serious and aloof, though he'd always had a bit of those traits in him. Perhaps it was only the harsh winter that put a damper on his mood. It was now spring, which meant things were changing. The alpha promised he'd be one of those things. With a gentle shake of the head, the male padded back toward the direction of camp, where he bet his pack would be rousing from their deep sleeps.

The forest was eerily quiet. He walked on his toes just to keep it that way. To disturb the peace with his heavy paws seemed wrong. Anthos was born for fighting, not stalking. His massive and muscled frame was not the least bit considered dainty. Any wolf could tell just by him clamoring among the trees. That didn't stop him from trying though, as he maneuvered through the forest. Their sparring area was not too far away, so in a few moments he found himself back at the entrance of the camp. Some wolves were awake and moving, others still asleep. Deciding not to bother everyone, he settled at the highest point in the territory. It was a flat rock that lay on the crest of a hill. Behind it was his large den, fit for an alpha.

This was his favorite spot. Anthos could survey his territory while keeping to himself. There were many trees that dotted the camp but none that obscured his view. But besides his own territory, he could eye the valley that separated the Leukos and the Austeros. For years, the two packs had gotten closer and closer to brawling. One wolf would stray a bit too close to the other's territory, or one would chase prey into the other's territory and be unable to finish the job. Each instance had driven a stake between the packs, further and further until Anthos feared they would crack.

This wasn't just a hunch, either. Anthos had been having the same recurring dream for weeks now. The scene was horrifying. His eyes were stained with deep shades of scarlet as wolves tore into each other mercilessly. He found, each night, he couldn't look away or divert his attention. Always, the moon was orange, hanging in the sky like a beacon. He couldn't recognize his pack mates as hard as he tried, for when the image started to focus, he would wake up. Every morning Anthos will snap awake, wildly tossing about his den until he realized where he was. The dreams made him grow weary, and he felt his eyelids droop as he looked across at his territory.

A meadow. Soft greens, lilacs, periwinkles, yellows and burnt oranges. Beautiful flowers dotted across the small humps in the hill, like backward grooves. The sun was shining brightly, a gentle, warming touch upon a pelt. The wind was blowing ever so slowly, like a cloud was blowing lazily down at the earth. With ease passing breeze the grass would sway and the flowers would dance, the leaves of the trees brushing against each other to create a soft jingle, like a wind chime. Everything about this wonderfully painted picture was made for utter peace and tranquility. Except for those who inhabited it.

Scars tearing across skin, tip of tail torn by claws, strong, muscled legs, and two piercing green eyes that glowed in the shadows. Amara was picturesque, but in all the wrong ways. Her whole jenesequa spelt bad news. She was the big bad wolf mothers warned their pups of. A delicate smile feathered its way onto her face, smooth and daunting. The fae was bewitching, wolves fell to her feet from her beauty or the power she exerted.

And yet, she was only the beta female.

This is the wolf that killed Darren, the infamous killer and previous alpha before Sniper. The Austeros had different laws, killing an alpha was considered something to be praised for, and she assumed she would take the rank. But Sniper had slivered his way in and she was left second in command. The thought made her lip curl and hackles rise slightly. Amara deserved to be alpha. If she could, she would kill Sniper as well. But she was smart enough to know he'd take her down in a fight and she wouldn't live to see another day.

Amara had a hard exterior, but she is not evil. She was guided to do the things she did by her previous mentor, and along the way lost herself. A part of her will always crave power, to hell all else. And Darren was a cruel leader. He spat on any wolf below his station, herself included. She planned a careful assassination, and the deed was done.

Amara regained her thoughts. Finally, after a long hunting spree, she was able to go back to her pack. She strode slowly, quiet, into camp, dropping two rabbits and a squirrel at her feet. The territory was eerily silent, and the fae made sure to watch her back for awhile. Amara settled in a grassy patch, licking her bloodied paws. In order to get the rabbit, he had to go into the thorns, but it was worth it. It had led to her to a secret area for deer to graze, but they were all strong and too quick for him to take down that second.

The wolf was annoyed by the bright sun shining into his 'den', as she liked to call it. It was really just a patch of grass Reed frequented, which was under a light film of foliage. The leaves were propped up to protect her from the harsher elements, but it was so worn the sun began to show through the top and speckled onto the sleeping healer's face. Reed opened an eye and groaned. It was a late night for the wolf, gathering his herbs and trying to soothe his own ailments, so he hoped to catch an hour extra of sleep. However, the sun had other ideas.

Regrettably, Reed left his den. He let out a soft yawn, shaking his head to wake himself. The male had barely slept due to his condition. He must have caught a kind of cold, which caused him to hack until his airway was free again. And of course, it would come back again and worse. The brute let out a throaty cough, which pained his lungs. He'd be okay in another day, as his knowledge of the illness reminded him, for he had taken the herbs needed to stop it. Every time he breathed it came out hoarse, so he dipped his head to excuse himself for a moment from camp. Reed trotted to the convenient brook that ran just outside of camp, dipping his muzzle in and taking a drink. It soothed his rough throat and he shut his eyes for a moment, icy rivulets streaming down his muzzle and onto his chest. If his sister was here, he knew she would be fretting incessantly over him like a mother bear. But she chose to stay with their uncle, and he chose to stay in the Austeros pack. Often, he wondered if he made the right choice.

He shook his pelt free from the excess water droplets and trotted back to camp, finding a seat next to his den. Then, with an inward groan, he remembered it was just around mating season. The season was bitter for him, because of his old mate. She had run away with a rogue after finding out his 'lowly' position, a healer. Power was truly an ugly thing and it affected the fae so strongly. And if his mother was here, lupus. She would pester him mercilessly for some grand pups. At the mention of his mother, a thin, sad smile etched onto his face. Now, he wouldn't even care if she asked him a thousand times a day, as long as she was alive.

Reed blinked his rich, forest green eyes and gained attention again. "I guess I'll get some pastes ready.'' Even though not everyone was awake, he figured the pack would be fine without him. Nothing else to do anyway. The brute trotted to his medicinal supplies, looking back for any stragglers willing to join him. Shrugging his haunches, Reed sifted through the herbs until he found the one he wanted and smashed it with his paw until the juice sunk into the dirt. He just needed one more thing, a fern. The healer sniffed for one, but with a gasp realized there was none left. His eyes fluttered shut. At this time a year there were no ferns in the Austeros territory. Only in the Leukos.

name. holly - gender. fae - crush. anthos - tags. anthos - where. in the forest with anthos

xXx. Holly gently placed her paw on the ground, her main idea to remain silent so she would not wake up a single wolf. She sniffed the air, showing she was looking for a wolf to talk to. She caught a scent, fairly new I suppose, then followed it, ending up in the forest near the alpha den. She knew it was Anthos by the time she got there and sighed, taking small steps, trying not to frustrate or scare, or even confuse him, after all, she was his crush, and most likely his only.

She looked up at him and sat down next to him, "Early bird huh?" She huffed quietly and knew that was the worst way to start a conversation. "So am I.. I suppose." She said nodding her head. She looked at her paws, already embarrassed from her first few words to him. She could tell he was still tired and let her shoulders sag slightly, showing she was ok around her alpha.

Kora eyes flickered open as the sunlight reached her. Stiffling a yawn, the female pushed her body into a sitting position, ears perking upwards. She gently looked around, and finally let her maw open in a yawn. She shook her pelt, watching with satisfaction as the leaves fell to the ground. Stretching out her forepaws, she got up and padded from her sleeping area, stretching her body whilst doing so. She barely moved 5 metres before she sat herself down again, now waiting for more of her pack mates to stir and for her to find something to do. She quietly watched as others slowly began to wake, and opened her maw in a yawn once more.
She tried to recount her dreams of last night, but it was hazy. From what she could gather, she was swimming in a lake with the clearest water, running through the greenest forest and climbing on the smoothest rocks. She huffed to herself, if only, if only.

The brute had been awake since much before anyone else, sitting by himself in the forest at the base of an oak tree. His thoughts were his only company, and he liked it that way. Eventually his muscles grew stiff from the lack of movement, so placing his paws before him he stretched. His eyes locked onto a small stump a few metres infront of him, and an energy filled his eyes. He sprinted towards it, pushing his forepaws against it. He smiled with satisfaction when not only did the stump move an inch, but his claws left indents into the bark. Shaking his pelt, he decided to head back to camp. The walk there was silent, the only noise he heard were the sounds of the birds around him and the whispers of wind the trees created. When he got back, he didn't speak to anyone, but found a comfortable area on the edge of the camp and laid himself down, placing his head on his paws.

Makinti pawed along the territory as the breeze caught in ivory fur. The dark oak bark scraped densely along her flanks, even for her abnormally small figure. She pawed around a little as she made her way to the river in hopes to catch a fish. She sat along the shore, staring down at the water through her amber pools. She almost forgot that she was in pack territory, she had gotten s caught up in watching the water flow over the rocks. She put one dusty paw in, and she let out a sigh of relief. She hadn't stopped walking for days. It was good to relax, until she remembered she was in pack territory, and she was easy prey. She instantly tensed up hoping to not be found. She darted into the water quickly snatching up a miniature fish, and scarfed it down burrying the carcass along the shore.

Koa woke up growling at the thick heat, before realizing exactly what it meant. "Wonderful, a storm." The brute said half heartedly to himself. He never liked the rain, but it was something good in the drought. He flicked his russet ears as he padded into camp watching the wolves start to awaken to the cloudly skies. His cold dark grey eyes scanned everyone carefully, still figuring out who the packs weakest link was, but it wasn't hard to tell. The omegas. They're rank was basically designed for the weak. Koa flicked off his angry thoughts as he sat basking in the sun, waiting for someone to bring moss filled with water from the river. The healer continued to gaze over his worthless pack, wondering why he was still bothering to be here before remembering just how he had a plot, a wonderful plot, to kill the alpha.

Green eyes fluttered open as they scanned the space around them, although the mass of brown fur had just awoken it quickly arose itself from the dusty ground. The bright green eyes now open scanning softly around as a rough sigh escaped the animals lips, claws digging into the ground as the thing attempted to sit itself up. Once up the thin and small shape showed itself to be the form of a small female, and by the looks of it a wolf. The female had awoken due to the fact that the sun was burning trough her closed eyes making them flutter open, digging her claws into the ground again as thin legs sprawled out stretching slightly bringing a yawn to her lips. Body stretching out again showing that she had just awoken from sleep, not many other wolves were away but she was okay with that fact, the omega was extremely shy around just about everyone and anyone, that was all but her father. The females father was Bjomolf, the packs lead fighter. Head turning as she glanced around, being the pack omega meant she had to be on call for all the packs members, looking around as she stopped her bright green eyes landing on one of the packs healers. Giving herself a quick shake as the female composed herself, not many other wolves were up so might as well see what reed needs if anything. Although she could not say when her ears grew hot the female soon realized she had been blushing, curse having a crush on someone she thought softly shaking the thoughts out of her head as she moved after closing the gap between the two wolves. Her body slinking lower as she looked to him not as to make eye contact in a respectful way, "Excuse me Reed" She spoke softly, her voice cracking a bit at the end. She lightly scolded herself before looking back to the brute. "Is there anything you need?" she asked softly tilting her head lightly but still remaining eye contact with his paws and nothing more.

The brute had awoken with a jolt, his nice dreams invaded by horrid nightmares of his loosing his family. Blinking his bright yellow eyes as he let out a soft yawn, the dark black brute just stayed laying down for a few more moments. Sleep did not come easy for him anymore, ever sense he lost his mate and offspring the males life was not the same.. Head turned lightly as the brute brought himself to a stand, he could see his daughter making her way over to the healers place offering her help. He dipped his head lightly to the two wolves before making his way out of the camp. He would spend his time searching the forests around just to be sure nothing was out of order, running his bright pink tongue across his muzzle as he smirked softly going down in a crouch. Who could say no to the plump rabbit that was before him, wiggling his rump as he smirked letting out a swift yip pouncing on the animal quickly killing it. His black nose coming to the sky giving it a few sniffs just to insure he was alone before the male began eating softly.

The young pup had been awake for maybe about a few minutes although she was extremely ready to play. Although much to the young pups demise no wolf seamed to be interested in playing, from what she had learned about the pack was the pups not the packs future, so should she not be treated as royalty. Running her tongue across her muzzle, as the young pup soon realized how hungry she was. Her small tummy growling as she glanced around, crouching down the young female scented the air. She had learned a little from following around the hunters, like how to crouch right and how to move your paws without making a sound. Her small brown eyes glanced around softly as a rat raced across the packs camp. Letting out a happy yip the young female moved swiftly after the animal quickly pouncing on it, her large paws pinned the animal down as she giggled slightly, "Got you" she said happily wagging her tail quickly as she yipped puffing out her chest. Looking around for any wolves to show off to but none were around, so the female picked up her meager kill and sat in the middle of camp puffing out her chest, she would wait for her alpha to get back and show him what she did.

The brute moved swiftly trough the forest, his ears pinned back softly as he moved farther and farther away from camp. His muzzle pointed to the sky as he let out a soft sigh sniffing the air, he could scent rabbit and maybe some chipmunks if he was guessing right. The chipmunks would do nothing for his pack, but maybe three or four rabbits would help at least three or more wolves with there hunger. Running his tongue across his muzzle again as he brute let out a soft sigh sniffing the air. His nose breathed in the scent of what seamed to be rabbit tickling his senses. Letting out a small smirk as it reached his cheeks before he blinked softly turning his dark black head with light grey muzzle to the right following the scent. [wb.. sorry..]

in the hard ground and walked out
of the den, he ground slightly to himself
before shaking his fur and walking fully
outside, he would stop and quickly inhale
the previous scents that surrounded him
trying to defect any intruders that would
try and outwit this alpha and his pack,
if they tried and failed then he would
simply chase them away or sometimes
kill them, his pelt caught the sun and
walked the brute up slightly as he stretched,
he then proceeded to lay down and rest his

The White omega had been laying
awake, she was out of the way
by her den, she watched the other
wolves in her pack move around
and do what they needed to do,
she currently had her tail around
her body and was sitting up, her
legs straight and her blue eyes keen
on watching her fellow, pack mates
do their business, the breeze cave a
gentle coolness to where she was
sitting and with her fairly long
white fur she didn't mind it as
it slowly caught each strand
of fur and swayed them all together,
she laid down and just out of habit
she proceeded to rest her chalky
white head on her two front paws
as she relaxed her body, she
continued watching the pack
though and her ears were
pricked listening for any
intruders.

They'd wake up before the majority of the pack, just as the sun made its trek across the morning sky, and spar for an hour or so. This stemmed from Wren's insecurities about her strength.

My niece or not." The two were only two years apart and they used to play together when they were young.

It gave her a large advantage in hunting, so she put all her effort toward her rank and it payed off for her.

ren padded along her favorite trail home. It was the scenic route, so particularly long, but beautiful. Spring was her favorite time to be out in the morning. After a dead winter the bugs would click to life, the river would gurgle, and the plants would grow back their foliage. The sounds soothed her as she carried her meal closer to home. The she-wolf wouldn't go directly into the territory. She preferred to eat it away from prying eyes. As the lead hunter she always felt the need to hunt for them rather than herself, which led to horrible eating habits. By eating alone there is less pressure and less hungry wolves to plague her mind.

Wren kept her ears open as she walked because the blood drowned her sense of smell. It was like a blaring alarm saying eat, eat, eat. But she couldn't just yet, the area was unsafe for a lone wolf with a fresh kill. The scavengers were always watching from higher ground as well as leveled with herself. Her least favorite were coyotes, blasted thieves.

The fae walked along in absolute silence. It was a trick she'd mastered when she was a pup. She wasn't a large wolf to begin with, but paired with her quickness and strategy, she was like a ghost. The only thing that hindered her hunting was her stark white coat. Perfect in the winter, not so much in the summer. She can be spotted like a sore thumb. When she decided she was in a good spot to stop she did a quick scan around her with her amber eyes. A fierce, predatory glare sparked off the orbs. If there was anything unfriendly, Wren was ready to defend her kill.

Just as she was about to settle she caught a scent amidst the metallic blood. Soon after a form slid from the trees and into her vision. She opened her jaws and plopped the kill to her feet, hackles raising slightly. Wren attempted to forget the rabbit smell and focus on this intruder, and once she did, she recognized the scent immediately. An Austeros wolf. The she-wolf peered around herself wildly, trying to assess her surroundings. She closed her eyes tightly as she realized she had unconsciously gravitated toward their pack borders. Hopefully she hadn't been smelled or heard yet, so she grabbed her kill slowly and backed up slowly.

As Anthos surveyed the camp, he noticed a she-wolf, Holly, leave her den. She was a hunter who worked with Wren and their group often. Other than that he didn't know much of her besides her peculiar appearance. The fae certainly was not fully wolf, which he was wary of. Many wolf dogs had a chameleon soul, blending into either side of them easily. When Holly had first joined he had his doubts of if she would be able to keep up, and she does well. Even so, her dog-like markings turned off wolves. Anthos was not one for conversation so he never inquired about it. It did interest him, though. Her history was as unbeknownst to him as his was to her. Very few wolves knew of his past, including his niece and nephew, and previous mate, Amara. Anthos never wanted to see his old mate again. She had shown her true colors and he could hardly stomach her actions. So he left with Wren, and almost with Reed, before his brother sunk his teeth into the pups fur. The alpha hasn't seen Reed since.

He parted his lips and took in a long breath. He could sense Wren had arrived back with a kill, and someone else had joined her, yet she was still far away. Gradually, all his pack mates woke and started getting their routine down. Tonight was the night of the big hunt that marked the end of winter. All the hunters would go out for as long as it took to take down a large kill. It was a pleasant event that lifted every wolf's spirits. This was Wren's second 'big hunt' as a lead hunter, and he was sure it would go fine.

Holly would be there. Maybe I should speak with her. Anthos thought, but before he could change his mind Holly padded up to him quietly. His ears swiveled toward her immediately, but he chose to sit for a pause. "Always am." Anthos spoke, then turned toward her slowly, eyes analyzing the area around them. He was always on edge. "So, Holly, you'll be accompanying Wren tonight, yes?" He asked, though he already knew the answer. The alpha was simply making small talk, something he wasn't very good at. Anthos was too quiet for his own good.

Amara finished her light meal, leaving the scraps in the territory in case an omega was hungry and looking for scraps. The fae looked down on them immensely and thought of them as useless. They did nothing all day except annoy her, it seemed. Her maw lifted to the air to smell if there was any danger before setting out to find her alpha, wishing to converse with the wolf she despised most. She always acted cordially to him, just to keep her position in the pack. Her ears flattened to her skull as she thought of Sniper and how blind sighted she was when the alpha rank was snatched from right under her paws. She let out a soft sigh of hostility as she continued to track the alpha. She stood in the cover of the forest, eyes dulling of expression as she withdrew her angry thoughts. Sniper could not pick up on them, and she was an expert at hiding them. As she looked for the alpha another wolf caught her eye, Koa. The two had a shared hatred of the alpha male. She wasn't sure how it would end up, as their plots usually led to only one of them being ranked alpha, but for now it was amusing for her to set plans.

It was deathly quiet as she padded up to Koa. Most wolves would hold their breath, shiver, or flinch, but she didn't feel in the mood to attack, especially not to him. He never made him exessively angry, and the two could watch eachother's backs at times. "Morning." The beta female murmured, her voice deep and smooth like water rolling over rocks. She blinked her green eyes, rising to her paws and stretching, eyes never leaving the male's face. Trust was very minimal for her.

Reed agonized over the decision to get the clover in the Leukos territory or deal with his scratchy throat. He tried to find a substitute, but nothing would do the same job. As he went back and forth he got everything else ready for the medicine. The healer sniffed along his row of herbs until he pin-pointed elderflower and began crushing the leaves with his paw. The juice began to mix with the juice from the clover and he lapped it up quickly. It was tainted with some dirt, but he sucked it up and swallowed the cure. Reed felt it coat his throat and sighed, wishing relief would come instantly. With clover the process would speed up much quicker.

As the healer fretted with his things an omega, Accalia, padded up to him quietly. He hadn't noticed her until she called out for him politely, her voice stammering a bit. Reed practically jumped out of his pelt at her suddenness, but quickly recovered and turned with a soft smile. She was a pretty fae, but that was not what attracted him. She seemed very sweet, yet quiet. Reed was the complete opposite, he could chat a wolf's ear off, usually about his rank and all the information that went into it. He wagged his tail slightly as she asked him if he needed anything. Reed chewed his lip and pondered whether to tell her about the clover or not. Accalia seemed like she would be up for an adventure, but then again he could be projecting onto her. "Er, well, since you asked..." Reed stood and when he did towered over the omega. "I've run out of clover and it's the only thing that can do the trick for this throat." His voice was still horribly raspy. "The thing is clover is only in the Leukos territory around this time. If I sneak in and grab a bit so no one sees me...would you be my look out?" Reed asked hopefully, amber eyes staring into Accalia's.

He knew it was a lot to ask, and wasn't expecting anything, but knew it was worth a shot to ask.

The female giggled slightly when she realized she had startled the brute. Although once realizing she had spoke out loud quickly shut her mew glancing her green eyes around lightly. She listened to him as he regained himself, her eyes turned looking around at all the herbs. They fascinated her for some reason, the way one herb would heal something that would kill a wolf, it just seamed so strange to her. The sweet scents of herbs always made her smile lightly, her mew curling into a soft smile as she looked around, her eyes turned back to Reed when he began speaking. The female always liked the brute, he was a little like her only he loved to talk well Accalia would much rather be very silent. Running her pink tongue across her muzzle as she blinked softly her eyes going wide as she was faced with his words, her tail curling around her tail softy as she looked to the brute lowering her head softly. "Well.." She spoke softly giving a few looks around as she sighed, "I will help. But i will not let you go into the pack grounds alone" She said narrowing her eyes softly as she glanced up at his face. The female was scared her body was trembling slightly she hated confrontation and going into another packs territory made her even more frightened, but the female would not let Reed leave without her. What if something happened to him well she was here, what would they do with out one of the packs healers. She let out a small husky sigh as she looked up to him, "I will go" She said softly as if she had made her finial choice dipping her head to the brute.

The six year old male ran his tongue across his muzzle, the brute had been out hunting and as he finished his rabbit he moved covering the remains with a few leafs. His ears pinned back slightly as he let out a small yawn, although looking around the old brutes nose was invaded by the scent of a female. He snorted lightly, the brute was by leukos territory so it was not odd to scent another wolf although this female did not smell like leukos.. He lifted his muzzle yet again giving the air a few good sniffs, the rabbit he had eaten still lingered around so any other wolves would be able to scent it. Although he did not mind that, flicking his tail around as he let out a annoyed huff. The brute was more traditional meaning he did not like other packs or other pack wolves, his ears pinned down sniffing the air yet again as he scented the female smell once again. It confused him a bit, her scent was covered in what smelled to be a loner although he was just confused with all the scents coming trough his nose at once. Shaking his head softly as the brute moved trotting down a small hill to a stream that flowed trough the forest. Bending his head down as he snorted softly bringing his muzzle to the water and giving it a few good licks to quench his thirst.

Convel woke up with a jolt, the brute had dozed back to sleep for only a few more minuets. His ears lifted as he grumbled, the brute felt a bit sick, his throat felt like it was burning. Flopping back to the ground the brute growled a little, he should really go to the healer. Grumbling as the brute rose to his paws, he was an older brute with the age of seven. His ears pinned back as he let out a soft yawn before moving his large brown paws. He growled softly looking around as he softly smiled, he did always enjoy sleeping around in the pack camp, his dark black fur moved as he made his way over to one of the packs healers. Coming up to the female as he dipped his aged grey muzzle before opening his mew to speak. "Good morning Kora" He said his voice horse, "I was wondering if you have anything for a soar throat" He asked sitting in front of the female. The brute was always respectful to the healers, he always thought if he was rude they would neglect him help when he needed it most. Chuckling lightly as the brute again looked around his orbs dancing around the camp letting them watch just about every wolf that was awake.

xXx. She smiled lightly and glanced around, thinking of what to say to the purebred, after all, she was a mutt, and a underdog in the pack and no one knew her real history, many wolves asked, by she said it was hers to keep, and no one shall hear of it until she is dead. She yawned and waited for his answer, not knowing he had spoken, when she saw him staring she knew she was wrong.

Her ears swivelled to the back of her head and opened her maw to speak but quickly closed it again, wondering what he said, a small remembrance popped in her head and she knew he had said something about 'Wren' and 'hunting' she quickly realized it was Wrens big group day and she was going, hoping she didn't bore him by her thinking she quickly stated, "Oh yes, I'm going with her." She said dipping her head, "She is your neice? Such an honor that would be." She said. Her cheeks had shown a light pink tint and she scratched her side also licking her nose at the same time.

xXx. His paws crumpled the leaves on the ground as he padded past the pond, unsure of what he should do after this. He saw a quail and smirked, his pawsteps turning from heavy to light, he was horrible at hunting, but this was his only way of proving himself. He stalked forward, his position horrible and crooked. He leaped and grabbed the quail with his claws, getting ready to dig his claws into its back, it scrambled off, escaping his claws.

"lupus!" he barked. He then lifted his head up for anything else and caught a faint scent of something, it couldn't be a bird, nor any prey.. another wolf. He let out a faint snort and followed the trail onto the beach. The scent started to fade and he growled uncertainly and confused. He knew it was here, somewhere.

Anthos listened with interest. It was something he did best, listen. He wasn't much of a talker and usually he wouldn't approach a pack mate unless it was about business. This was new and reminded him of his old self. Holly smiled, then paused for a bit as a silence stretched between them. He sensed a bit of hesitation and took a step back, in case it was a sensitive subject she was thinking about. He was familiar with those. But then she told him she would be accompanying Wren. The alpha glanced at the sky, even though he knew there would be no stars to point out. He envisioned the lights speckling the midnight sky, twinkling and close enough to stick out a paw and believe you were almost grazing one. Absently, his paw began to shift in the dirt. "Good. It's a good turning point in the seasons. Lifts everyone's spirits to have a full meal after the harsh winter." He swished his tail and rolled his haunches backward.

Anthos remembered when his mother had instituted the 'big hunt'. His mind began to drift toward his mother at that single thought. Her name was Aella. It meant storm wind, or whirl wind. The female was certainly that. Anthos remembered she was always wild and up for anything. She was a loner turned fighter who met the alpha male and soon they were mates. The alpha male already had a son, Lyka, which made Anthos his half-brother. The only thing he remembers of Lyka was his cruelty toward him and the pack. At two years old, Anthos' father's health was failing and the question of who would succeed him plagued every wolf in the territory. His father knew of Solar's dark side, so he was going to choose Anthos as his heir. When Lyka got wind of this, he snapped and killed his mother and the alpha. Anthos grabbed Wren, Lyka's young daughter, and ran until he was sure he would not follow. Now he was sure the Austeros had a new alpha, completely unrelated to them.

Anthos was going to mention a good memory of his mother, but the bad ones overshadowed them so he kept his mouth shut. He didn't like to share much private information anyway. "An honor?" He chuckled, "She treats me like an old mutt." He was kidding of course, but Wren loved to tease him. They used to have a strong banter.

"Are you sure? I don't want to push you out of your comfort zone." Reed looked at her, concerned. She seemed to tense up when he brought up going into the other pack's grounds. "You can stay on the outskirts, if you'd like. The clover isn't far and I'm a quick runner. I'll be in an out before any wolf can catch my scent." He tried to reassure her, smiling gently. Even if he did get caught, his uncle would pass it off easily. He might get grief from his pack, but Anthos has handled worse. This'll be a breeze for the healer. "Trust me Accalia. I'll keep you safe." He peered into her eyes, but then shyly glanced away. "S-so, the clover is for the throat. It's a natural soothing agent that helps coat the soreness. Amazing, really." Reed prattled on about his herbs, like he always did when he got nervous.

"Let's head out." Reed stated then took off, not pausing to greet anyone in fear they would catch on to what he was doing. The male moved through the camp towards the trees. Pines loomed up ahead of him, swaying slightly because of the breeze. He moved through the dense foliage quietly, carefully placing his feet so he wouldn't make a sound.

Reed continued on until he almost reached the border of the Leukos pack. He took a deep breath and found the wolves were deep in the territory, far away from Reed and Accalia. Slowly and stealthily he hid behind thick shrubs as to not be seen. Reed couldn't see the clover, but he could smell it. He glanced at the omega, gave a short not, and began slowly walking forward.
