"okay, so the first place I'm going to show you is the ancient oak. it's not that far away so we should be there fairly quickly." the tom mewed, looking forward to make sure he didn't crash into anything. "so, considering you're not a clanborn, you wouldn't know the history of the three clans around the river. at least, I assume. anyway, many many moons ago, four different clans lived around the lake; thunderclan, riverclan, windclan, and shadowclan. after dozens and dozens of moons, the four clans disbanded, later coming together to form the three clans we know today, cherryclan, that's us, stormclan and windclan. we live in thunderclan's old territory." the tom paused and pointed his tail in the direction they were facing. "in that direction is stormclan's camp, which resides in the former riverclan camp." he flicked his tail to the left of them. "and in that direction is windclan's territory, which of course, is in the former windclan territory." magpiestep glanced back towards brightpaw as he finished the story. "any questions?"

stonefoot glanced back at birchclaw then looked back forward at brownpaw. he let out a quiet sigh and took a couple paw-steps backwards, giving brownpaw space. he remained silent, watching gingerstar speak to brownpaw.

spottedpaw turned his head towards stonefoot's yowl. brownpaws awake? she thought to herself. did she fall asleep? did i miss something?

"hmm, not that I know of." the queen mewed. "if you're not busy then you can stay here and just chat." she turned her head back towards brownpaw and the cats around her for a moment before looking back at mintpaw

Maplefang hadn't backed up like Birhclaw asked. Honestly she wasn't afraid of being clawed so she decided to stay. She watched as Gingerstar talked to Brownpaw. The young warrior looked back at Stonefoot then turned back to Brownpaw.

"You may want to be left alone," said Gingerstar, "but you cannot. You are surrounded by too many cats for you to defeat alone. I think it's best if you come with me and Bramblingfang here, and had a little talk about what just happened." She paused. "It's unlikely you remember any of this, but you are Brownpaw, apprentice to Oaktail, daughter of Bramblingfang here, and Snowtail. You live with all of us in CherryClan, where each cat helps his or Clanmates to survive. So you see, you won't be alone. Ever. And everyone here is willing to die for each other, myself included."

"I don't know," whispered Birchclaw. "I hope she'll be okay." He looked at Maplefang who hadn't moved away. Well, she had courage enough to stand so close. "Maybe she'll regain her memory?" but the last was said more as a question than anything else. It was too early, and he was no medicine cat. Maybe Brownpaw would be okay. But then again, she might not be.

Maplepaw sighed with relief noticing Ashcloud come into the little group. "Thank goodness Ashcloud." she said sitting up. "I thought you would never wake up."

Ashcloud padded out of his den and to where the commotion was taking place. "Whats goin-" he saw Brownpaw, awake, "Are you ok Brownpaw?" he asked stepping forward. He noticed she was having a hard time remembering things. She stole my heart, I hope she at least remembers me alittle... he thought before turning to Gingerstar. "Does she remember anything?" he asked.
