Blake leapt to his feet, Tia clearly recognized the dog, and he wasn't taking any chances where humans were involved. "We should move" He said, eyes locked on the alley the little dog appeared from. "How many of them?" Blake asked, beginning to shift away, eyes now switching between the dog and where the sound of footsteps was coming from.

Tia smiled at the small dog in the fleeting moment of silence before everything erupted in chaos. Processing his words, Tia leapt up, her long legs skittering but holding strong. Her eyes flashed as she followed Blake and Jude, one ear trained on the footsteps, the other on her friends. Jude was right, humans were watching them.

Tia moved nearer to the stranger dog, seeing he was tired- perhaps as tired as she when she first met Blake and Jude. "Will we try to outrun them, or hide?" She asked, her voice trembling slightly.

Archie shook,looking at the other dogs for a second.''A few,but I didn't see how many.''He admitted slowly,watching the alleyway nervously.Archie gulped,then took the other second to look at the female dog from earlier.She was quite pretty,long and lean but obviously she was new to the streets.Archie sighed,he had been abandoned a while ago,he didn't want to get caught and face the lonliness if he was abandoned again.Archie looked at the familiar one.''I think we could outrun them,unless any of you are tired,hungry or have problems..Or unless..''Archie couldn't say it.''They have the Van.''Archie couldn't help but let in a tiny hint of fear as he said the word.

The fur on the back of Judes neck stood on end, "The beach, would the follow us to the beach?" she said, spitting out the suggestion quickly.

Blake flinched at the word 'van'. He'd heard about them, mostly just gossip, nothing more. But now he wasn't too sure, it sounded scary enough! He took a deep breath and steadied himself.I have to stay strong, for Tia and Jude he thought, and forced the negative thoughts from his head. "We could try and run there, then maybe find a shelter of some kind?" the uncertainty in his voice was clear, and Blake knew it, but he hoped that the others would listen to him anyway.

"The van?" Tia asked hoarsely, unnerved by the panic in the small dog's eyes. As Jude made the suggestion, she trembled apprehensively. The beach meant water. Clamping her muzzle shut, she imagined the tide being in. The tide sweeping her away again. Pushing the fear from her mind, Tia tried to think logically; "Probably not..." She reasoned, hoping it didn't come to that.

Tia glanced at the stranger, noting that she didn't even know his name. The sound of footsteps drew ever nearer, and this shook the dog from her mind, back to reality. She focused on Blake's words. "Maybe there's a crevice or something in the rocks at the end of the beach?" She asked.

Jude tensed up, "So we agree on the beach?" she asked quickly, slightly moving on her feet as she listened to the footsteps getting closer.

"The beach." Blake agreed, "but we need to move fast if we're going to make it to the rocks." He checked down the alley once more and started to walk in the direction of the beach. Fear was coursing through his veins, making his breathing faster as he considered their chances. If they were all fast enough, they should be able to make it to the beach without trouble, but what about when they reached it? Blake asumed that Tia knew of some hiding places, but it may just have been wishful thinking on her behalf. But whether there actually was a safe haven on the rocks or not, they should be able to outpace the humans, and they wouldn't follow them onto the beach, would they? From experience, Blake knew that they only chased if the thought it would be easy. If it might mean they had to run a little, then they wouldn't bother. But what if they did have the van? That might make it easier for the humans.

As the footsteps grew louder, Blake pushed all the thoughts from his head. "Lets go! Get to the beach!" he called, setting off faster.

Tia could almost hear Blake's mind working, and at his words Tia tensed. She followed Blake as he walked, glancing behind to see if Jude and the newer dog was following. "We go to the beach." She replied to Jude, determined to not make a fool of herself where the water was concerned. Having woken up on the beach, Tia had found shelter in one on the indents in the rock face, but the only problem was, it was elevated and she wasn't sure if everyone could climb to reach it. The clumsy humans would have no chance, but would they?

Picking up her pace to keep up, she found herself speaking almost calmly, for the fear that clutched at her heart. "When I woke up, I found a crevice. If we pack ourselves in, we should all fit, but it's above ground. Can everyone climb?" She called anxiously.

Jude followed slowly and picked up her pace when the others did, "Where was this hiding space... and yes, I can climb, not very well, but well enough." she replied. She shifted her ears back to listen for the sound of the humans footsteps and the new dogs smaller steps. Not really thinking, she slowed a bit to match the pace of the smaller dog. "Although now isn't a time for greetings, what is your name..?" Jude really thought about it, "We may run into more danger where we need to call your name.."
