Dustspeck curled his tail in amusement "True. Let them have it, I would take the cool shade of rain over thus heat any day" he meowed, scenting the air. He could only smell the scent of his own clan and possibly some prey but other than that the desert seemed almost barren.


Thistle flicked her ears forward, glancing nervously to the ground. "Is he doing well?" she meowed, ignoring his question. She longed to see her brother. She had always struggled with being close to him but being so far away hurt her.

Thistle cocked her head to the side "But can't you do that out of the clan? Like I hunt... and I practice fighting" she meowed, flicking her ears forward at the tom. She glanced towards where the clan cats slept "And I have shelter" she meowed, her tail tip twitching.

The she-cat padded through the dusty desert. She saw the blue shine of the Falls. "Water!" she said happily and bounded over. She gulped down some of the cool water and saw a fish. She watched her shadow and sat down where the fish couldn't see her.

Her long paw darted in the water. Her claws caught scales and she pulled out a flailing fish. She bit its neck and looked around. Seeing nocat, she sunck her teeth into her fish. She ate it quickly and jumped in the water, and climbed out with another fish to feast on. The second fish she caught wiggled and she accidently dropped it back in. "No!" she hissed
