A band of around 1-6 horses called a herd roam these lands, a herd usually has a dominate stallion, a lead mare and a few other mares, sometimes with foals and yearlings.

Foals will be kicked out the herd by the lead stallion when they are around the age of 2, filly's sometimes stay a little while longer, this is to prevent any in breeding.

The dominate stallion who sires his herds filly's and colts is around the age of 6 years or older, he is often with the herd 24/7 and will fight to protect them, he will fight against predators like wolves, he will also fight other dominate stallions who want to steal his herd and his mares, but if the stallion is older and stronger than him, then he will often back down and hand his herd over. The lead stallion also must kick out all his foals when they are around the age of 2.

In herds there is also often a lead mare who will guide the rest of the herds mares to the best watering holes, and grazing areas. She will also be the the one to lead the horses away from danger and quickly, with the dominate stallion taking up the rear to protect his herd from danger. The herd will become scared if there lead mare is missing.

When put in danger a horses first instinct is to flee, mares will very rarely stay to fight, all mothers will follow the lead mare in a fleeing order

Some younger bachelors will join together and make a bachelor herd to protect each other until they find mares of there own, the leader of the herd is often the oldest and will be the first to leave the herd if mares are present. Younger bachelors will need a nod from the lead bachelor if they want to leave the herd. If bachelors leave without the lead bachelors permission they will not be aloud back in the herd if they do not make a herd of there own.

Every herd in the wild will have a leader, or it is not counted as a herd

Fillies at around the age of 2 will either be chased out the herd by there mother, choose just to leave on there own, or be chased out by the lead stallion, this is all done to prevent in breeding

If a horse breaks any of the herd rules, they will be chased out of the herd, where they are vulnerable to predators and all kinds of danger, this teaches them to respect the ways of a herd

Wild horses are better adapted to the environment then any farm horse, which makes it easier for them to adapt to any problems they may find in the wild

All herd rules are carefully followed, if they are broken then they will be punished.

0- not interested at all, will definitely fight
1- slightly interested, will still fight
2- starting to become interested still will fight
3- very interested still might fight
4- extremely interested won't fight
3- still quite interested might fight
2- losing interest will start to fight
1- almost fully lost interest will fight
0- has lost complete interest will definitely fight

Seasons

The current season is:Spring!

Spring: The snow has now melted and everything looks beautiful again, lone mares looking for a herd, foals are born so better watch out for mean predators. In this season it's very hot and the green grass is out again.

Summer: The season where it gets really warm, annoying flies buzzing around you, most mares will still be in heat and looking for a herd, foals may be born but the earth has really started to dry up. There may be a drought, or even a fire in some places, water may become scarce and you will have to look hard to find it. Try stay near water supplies and don't run for long distancess unless you have to.

Autumn/fall: The season where everyone is trying to prepare for winter, fatten up why you can because younever know how harsh winter is going to be. Try get into a herd while you have the chance. Some mares may still be in heat and looking for a herd, though some may just join herds of mares, and lone bachelors may join a bachelor herd. Some foals may be born but there survival chances arent very great. Leaves will fall and the earth will be covered in color the ground will cool down once again.

Winter: The season where the earth becomes a freezing ice rink, rivers, streams, lakes almost every water supply will freeze over with dangerouse ice, break the shallow ice if you want to drink, but be careful not to go to far in, the earth is covered in a thick blanket of snow and there may be storms on the way. It's freezing and food is little you may even have to eat the bark off the trees. Young foals and very old horses to not have a good chance of surviving this season. There are hardly any mare left in heat and most are in herds now, mares are not stallions priority at the moment, everyones priority is to survive.

'Let me hear your war cry!'

{Introduction}This stallion is called wolf cry, some other horses do call him 'wolf' or 'cry' for short, he is currently 6 1/2, he does wish to lead a herd but he is currently a lone stallion, his coat is pitch black, along with his mane.
{Getting to know him}Wolf is a sensible male, he will protect his herd at all cost, he has a soft spot for mares and often finds himself thinking before he commits to his decision, he is a born leader and that will show, well, it will if he ever finds a herd that will accept him. He has a fear about being rejected but will push past it for the well-being of his fellow-horses
{History} His farther was actually a tame horse, he worked in the army but after a accident he ended up wild, he met Cry's mother, the lead mare and soon they became mates, his mother died giving birth to him and he was left as a orphan to fend for himself when his farther was captured and taken back to a horse riding school.
{Love Life} This male has not yet found a mare that has suited his liking and he has not had any foals either.
{Other Information} He has a sweet but clearly masculine voice and his theme song is 'ghost town'

mare is Wild spirit, she prefers to be called 'Spirit' rather than 'wild' if you want to give her a nickname.
She is 7 years old and is currently a loner searching for a herd to stay in. She is also currently in heat stage 3, nearly 4

is a confident mare, she prefers to do things her 'way' but will not hesitate to listen to the leader, or
dominant stallion. She is quite a motherly mare, and has a soft spot for foals, she thinks of any foal,
with a mother or without a mother her own and treats them kindly, she will fight if someone tries to
hurt them but she does not like fighting and will do her best to just talk some sense into the other horse.
{History} She has not
had much excitement in her past life, she was born and raised on a farm before the barn caught on
fire and she ran away with her mother who was soon killed by wild dogs, she met Wolf cry when she
was 3 years old and now thinks of him as her brother as he thinks of her as his sister, they will protect
each other and now currently stay together trying to find a herd. text

yet met her 'special' one and has no current crushes on any stallions, she does, however wishes for a
foal of her own but until she finds that special one she will have to focus on what she needs to do
