Featherstar looked at Scarlet curiously. "Anything else?' She meowed. She scented a badger near by, but not close enough to bother them. As well as a rabbit. She hoped the queen would scent the rabbit and hunt it.

Moonpaw shuffled her paws and flicked her ears. "Alright, I'll try." She meowed. The young cat was quite awkward when meeting other cats.

Claytail smiled. "Hey, I know you'll do fine. They are all just like you." He grinned. "Besides, even if they don't like you, I was the outcast of that den as well."

Moonpaw looked at her mentor in surprise. "Really? You!?" She meowed in astonishment before looking at the apprentice den. "I think I'll be okay." She mewed quietly.

Scarlet frowned slightly, figuring she must have missed something if Featherstar was commenting on that. "Um..." She mumbles, parting her jaws a bit wider this time, drawing in a deep breath this time. "Something i can't quite place. Foul smelling and...musty?" she frowns, unsure as to what it really scented like, before continuing. "And... Rabbit?" she questions, instantly becoming interested. Rabbits were fun to catch, though certainly weren't the easiest things to catch, nor were common in the forest.

Claytail smiled. "Take a guess why..." He replied. He looked at the den and smiled. "I was unusual, also, I had a glaring weakness that they could all exploit." He smiled. "You'll be fine. I'm exaggerating. Make friends, you'll be fighting with these cats when you become a warrior."

Flint padded around the moor, suddenly feeling alone again as he slipped into a bush. This was the most comfy place he could find as he closed his eyes to sleep. He started to move a little as his belly grumbled. He grunted, bounding out of the bush as he glanced around the land. Flint saw a mouse going towards the forest as he unsheathed his claws and started stalking it. As it stopped, he dropped into the hunters crouch. He inspected it closely and tried to figure out what the best way of catching it was as he leaped up. The mouse quickly turned his head towards him, but Flint was fast as he swiped his claws across the rodents back. "Gotcha!"
He picked the prey up and padded back to the bush, carefully picking his way in this time to make sure the mouse didn't get caught in the bush. Flint settled down, curling his legs to crouch in front of the piece of fresh-kill in front of him. He bent down and ate the mouse as he purred. Thank Starclan I caught this mouse. I would of starved! He mewed teasingly to himself.
Flint finally finished the prey as he glanced up at the moon. It was at the top as he wriggled around to try to find the perfect place to sleep. The bush had some thorns and sometimes they would dig into his pelt.

Featherstar nodded approvingly. "That foul smell is a badger. Remember it. They are nasty creatures and will kill the best warriors with ease." She flicked her ears and listened. "The rabbit is close. Go for it." She meowed.

Moonpaw looked at her mentor thoughtfully. "I have to trust them with my life." She meowed. It wasn't a question, and she flicked her ears. "I think it's pretty cool Featherstar paired us together. I'll learn unique ways to fight, some that might save my life compared to other cats." She yawned and shook her head. "I'm just yapping on and on, I'll go meet my denmates." She mewed.
