I have no idea, but if it is then I guess it's good for Tally cause thats how she lies down naturally (by naturally I mean normally she'll lay like that, but if I give her the command 'lie down' she lays with her back paws under her)
Anyone do fly ball? I want to start training Tally it incase I find the time to enroll her in that (sense apparently Jack Russell are wanted for fly ball cause of their size and speed) and I wanted to know what I could work on before I can get a flybox (or something that'll replicate a flybox for now)
Also, does anyone have any tips on how to get dogs to focus during training? I've tried using different treats and toys (though usually she doesn't respond well to toys) our training sessions are already short (Usually around three mins) because she'll stop listening after five minutes
Hey sorry I haven't been on. Busy lately, I don't use my computer much anymore anyways

And we've run into another problem. Once a dog is sighted, we may be able to stay calm with counter conditioning, but as soon as we have to move, it sets Epic off.
She knows 'lets go', but it won't break her from her stare. And she's too focused on the dog to pay me any attention. The only way to get her moving is to apply pressure, which usually sets her off.
I need a way to get her to move on without barking and lunging, or biting me. 'Let's go' works with everything but dogs.
What about giving into leash pressure?

This is something I've had pretty great success with. Basically you apply light leash pressure, treat heavily.. Apply light pressure, reward heavily. Apply light leash pressure, encourage the dog in the direction you're pulling, and reward heavily. Rinse and repeat until the dog 'give in' to the leash pressure. Thats basically the whole idea behind it. xD Leash pressure means "come with me!" and is a positive thing.

Honey, it's in the stars
And you're my everything from here to Mars
And every word I say I truly mean
Dear darling, I hope I'm being clear
'Cause there's no one like you on earth
That can be my universe

Fun little event happened at the park a few days ago... -.-
I was just on our evening walk to the park, maybe do a bit of training. I noticed Kora was looking at the sky quite a bit, I just figured a plane was flying by or something, but then I heard a distant buzzing sound. This kid that lived around the park had one of those remote controlled drones, with what I think must have a camera on it, and of course, Kora was nervous, as the thing was only 10 feet above her head, and buzzing very loudly. This is the dog that is stressed out by the vacuum and likes to eat bugs flying around her. So I try to run out of the park to avoid the drone (and of course this guy is laughing his head off, like it's the funniest thing he's seen all week) and Kora nearly pulls me over, just trying to get away. At this point, I had lost my flip flop and was a block or two away from the park with that stupid thing following me and scaring poor Kora! I didn't go back for my shoe, as I'd probably just get laughed at and chased again, so I went home, dropped her off and went back to get it when the kid wasn't outside.
Honestly, if some people have nothing better to do then pester people and scare their dogs, that's quite sad, in my opinion.
(whew, needed to get that off my chest! sorry about that mini rant! >.<)
