The black apprentice was ready to abandon her thoughts on Thorn and chat with the spotted molly rather than be sulky over a relationship that never would've happen anyway. Pushing the image of his handsome face and wide, paid amber eyes out of her head, she purred as they trotted out of the den and to the fresh-kill pile, "You got that right.. Noeyes isn't all that bad - believe me, I'd know, having to care for her every other day - just awful mean when she isn't fed on time."

The orange tabby nodded his head,d having noticed the crowd of cats sniffing at the dusty floor around the pile and how anxious they were. Once I'm done speaking with Cobrasong, I'll have to take a look-see. Then I'll have to send out a group of cats to track whoever it was that came into our camp yesterday..
Scorchstar swiveled his head back to the waiting Cobrasong, ready for her to continue.

Hawkcry could see the ebony, large-eared male watching him our of the corner of his turquoise eyes, and caught the slight roll of them. Excuse me? I'm the cat that's so graciously going to provide my services for your sake, apprentice. If it wasn't for Waspclaw and me, you'd be a failure - simply a blind kitten mewling for its mother! No wonder Scorchstar hasn't made you a warrior yet! You're weak!
The dark tabby glared slightly, with his pale blue eyes balefully narrowed, at the back of Batpaw's head, swiping his tongue over his blood-stained lips as he looked up from his hare. I'll make a proper warrior out of you yet - but learn to show respect, even if that lack of respect is a roll of your eyes, tomcat, before I train you in my ways, eh?

Noeyes - Elder of DesertClan - She-cat - 88 moons - Tags; OPEN!

Noeyes awoke, as per usual, with her stomach grumbling. She rasped around a massive yawn, as she usually did when she started to get hunger pangs, "Is any cat going to bring me my snack?"

He grabbed a fish from the fresh kill pile. He looked at the den before padding inside. "Noeyes? Want a fish?" he mumbled through the stinking fish. "I think it is from yesterday!" He smiled and put the fish down before looking at the elder.

Finally having convinced herself that she had gotten enough rest to get through the day in an at least somewhat useful way, Quailfeather padded through the warrior den's entrance, pausing to stretch luxuriously once out in the camp, enjoying the feel of sand beneath her flexing claws. Ears pricked up, she surveyed her home. With a bit of curiosity she noted the cats gathered around Scorchstar, but thought nothing of it. Much had been going on in the clan lately, after all.

Troutsplash sat next to Dovestrike, glad for a moment of peace while waiting for Scorchstar to finish talking with Cobrasong. The large tom's whiskers twitched with amusement as he watched Monkey approach the elders with his offering. Good luck to you, little cat. You might need it. With a deep breath, the warrior tipped his head to rest it against his friend's. "There's been so much commotion lately. When things have finally settled down, we should go for a walk by the falls, like we used to," he mewed. Not that things are going to settle down anytime soon, by the looks of it.

With a grunt off irritation, Cactusfoot tried to tuck his head further under himself, wanting to keep out the other elder's voice. Too early. Go back to sleep. A sharp stench flooding into their den prevented any further rest from coming to the old tom. "Looks like they haven't forgotten about you just yet," he rasped to Noeyes, willing the stink of day old fish to leave his nostrils. [Which, of course, wasn't proving to be very effective.] Cactusfoot frowned at the young cat standing in the den's entrance. "Stinking fish delivered by a rouge. This is what years of service to this clan gets us?" The brown tabby huffed and plopped his head back down, shoving his nose under his thin tail.

Lakefurtags; Skypaw

Lakefur turned as he heard his name called. There's Skypaw! he thought happily, trotting towards his apprentice. The gray tom nodded a brief greeting as he approached Skypaw. "I thought today would be a good day for battle training, don't you think?" Lake fur asked. The question was more rhetorical than anything, but if the younger tom would rather hunt Lakefur was open to the idea,''The cool weather seems ideal to me."

Shadepawtags; Cedarpaw

Shadepaw turned just in time to see a calico blur barreling towards him. The tiny tom tried to brace himself as he saw no way of moving in time but was too slow. He let out a small cry as Cedarpaw ran into him. Shadepaw huffed as his head bounced against the dusty earth. He sat for a moment, stunned, and then tried to push Cedarpaw off of him, "Ow, what was that for?'' he half growled half whined.

A purr rumbles in my throat as I look at the Tom. "That would be awesome." I shift my tail so that its resting on Troutsplash's. My fur is warm where my head is touching his, and my bright blue eyes gleam with admiration.

♥ Lilynose stretched in her nest, ears perked a little in the movement, listening to the clan. The oriental longhair blinked, eyes narrowed already before she slowly got to her paws. Looking over at the entrance of the den, she noticed a tail just flicking out of sight. Tilting her head, she paused before decided tear her paws off the ground and follow the other, hoping to spark up conversation. Generally, the molly didn't prefer to start conversations, but what was the harm? Lilynose recognised Quailfeather after a moment. "Hey there, Quailfeather!" she mewed. "I don't we've spoken much before," she mewed, moving so she stood mostly in front of the other. "Beautiful morning, is it not?"

Crowpaw padded into camp dejectedly with her head down. It was too hot out there to do anything. Her pelt was burning, making walking completely unbearable. She looked up and saw her mentor, Pricklenose. She bounded over to him. "Hello,Pricklenose!"

As Pricklenose heard a voice calling his name, and the tom looked up to see his apprentice. "Oh, hi Crowpaw. Up early?"

Crowpaw nodded. "I was just going to go hunting, but it was too hot," she mewed. "Did you just now get up?"

Dustpelt stalked after Waspclaw, the heat of the sun soaking into his fur making him shift uncomfotably "no wonder we hardly catch prey. Nothing in their right minds would come out on a day like this" he meowed, flicking his tail in annoyance at the heat.

Thistle shuffled her paws in the sand, wondering if the tom would ever show. Finally his silhouette stood out in the bright sun and her pelt prickled with nerves. As he sat down in front of her, she felt herself cower and mentally scolded herself for being such a mouse brain "You have a warrior name Dustpelt right?" she asked, her voice almost timid.
