I sat on the street corner, smoking a cigarette and counting cars. I didn't care that people were giving me weird looks, I'm used to it. I got up and dropped my cigarette to put it out, then went into a gas station and grabbed a candy bar. I tucked it into my pocket and left without paying. I had to steal to get by. After all, who would want to hire a scale faced freak?

Cara sat in the Tower, in the communal living room, to be precise, not really doing much of anything. A mug of tea sat on the coffee table in front of her and her well worn copy of The Lord of the Rings was open in her lap as she went on fictional adventures. It was exactly the kind of day that she loved, because as and Avenger/S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, there was only a quiet day once every 3 years, or at least, it seemed that way.

The acrid tang of the city fumes filled the beast's nostrils. Somehow, that brought his sense of humanity back. It was as if the dark, inky blanket had covered his vision, thoughts and feelings had suddenly lifted, as he didn't need to open his eyes to wake up. Technically, though, he had been awake probably for the last few hours, but couldn't remember a thing since his transformation up until now. And, also up until now, he hadn't been able to control himself.

Nathan stopped leaning on the cold brick wall he found himself slumped against, trying to stretch his eyes wide in an attempt to clear the blurred drowsiness from his vision. However, as soon as he put his right foot, or paw, down to stand up properly, exploding pain darted up that leg. He took his weight off it again, steadying himself by putting an arm against the wall. What would have been a curse erupted as a yelp from his jaws, a sound that you'd commonly hear from some sort of hurt dog. This reminded him that he couldn't communicate properly, at least to a human's point of view; all that he could hear was the occasional bark or growl in replace for something he'd try to say, which was pretty much useless to him unless he wanted to communicate feeling. Upon closer examination of his throbbing foot, twisting his leg around in quite an awkward position, Nathan noticed quite a large piece of transparent-green glass dug part-way into his thick, black pads. Dark red blood was oozing from it, even going as far to dribble down to his auburn fur that surrounded the pads.

Clenching his teeth, he managed to delicately squeeze the glass lodged in the cut out of the underside of his foot, using his long, sharp claws to do so. Although thick blood still escaped the wound, Nathan ignored it - putting his weight on his still slightly tender foot, he knew it would heal by itself in a short while, so long as he stayed in this form for as long as it took. He was also grateful to get the sickening stench of blood from beneath his nose; the acute sense of smell he retained once transforming into the monster was a one of the hardest things he had to get used to. Different scents mingled together, some defined, some not as so, which just gave him a headache. However, it was exceptionally useful incase he had to detect if a human was nearby. A human's scent was very defined, at least to him, and there was no smell quite like it - this made it all the more easy to discover one if they had came close to him. In fact... he could smell a closeby human right at that moment!

Just the thought of a human following him around whilst he was in his monster form terrified him. But the fact that one was actually getting too close... he could barely comprehend it. A human couldn't see him like this - he couldn't have a replay of what happened roughly six years ago, when he had to move out from his home country... Maybe, though, what he was smelling could just be false. With the confusing other scents that writhed around him, that seemed plausible for a moment, although then again unlikely to happen. He just wished he could pinpoint to where this smell was coming from, but with the confused, unsettled thoughts seemed to knock his concentration somewhat. Instead, Nathan looked around the strangely unfamiliar area he was in, his ears pricked and twitching at the slightest sound. He couldn't think of what else to do apart from wait, alertly, to find out what would happen.

Tony walked down a hallway in the Tower with his usual relaxed pace. He had been working on some things for one of his Iron Man suits so he was lacking his usual clothing. Instead of a nice suit, shoes and well made hair he wore a simple black t-shirt, a dark pair of jeans, and running shoes along with his hair being flattened with sweat. As he walked he glanced into some rooms. As he glanced into the living room he pulled himself to a stop when he saw Cara sitting alone. Tony turned and walked into the living room slowly. "You know, I always wondered what you did in your free time. I always thought it would be more exciting than this. But I was obviously wrong this time," he said as he came to a stop next to one of the tables that was placed in the room.

Cade walked out of a jewelry store with a proud smirk. It was just too easy to fool people with a power like his. His last scam with very simple yet made him a good amount of money. He simply would create a diamond from his imagination, bring it into a jewelry store, sell it, get the money and leave. Of course he could simply make the diamond disappear just as fast as he made it. And he planned on doing just that once he was far enough away from the store. Cade quickly began walking down the street with a confident walk. He hadn't been caught by anybody so far and he had been playing a lot of tricks on people. But at this point it was starting to get boring. He had to think of something to do that would bring attention to it. But it would just be a trick. He didn't plan on hurting anybody. At least as long as nobody angered him.
