addison is... aloof, hes often like that. being the kind of doll who's just a goof, self proclaiming himself king of puns, that's exactly who addi is. hes out there having fun, being the optimistic little child he is. he really loves climbing trees and always brands them with the letter ‘a’ because... he simply wants to. addi is still the child who will cry upon getting teased, hes somehow the scared little child who won't backstab you even when hes armed with the weapon he needs. hes a bit sadistic though, enjoys using that fencing sword of his to break through vines and pretending that they're his enemies. he used to do that with trees too, slicing off their branches, but one day he managed to get a bunch of crawling ants to slip into his clothes and crawl all over him and lets just say since that didn't end well we never saw him cutting branches ever again. even if he wishes he could still have the courage to, because he could, like, drop an ant-infested branch at someone! that would be funnier if he didn't have an utter phobia of ants now.

being the childish one he is, addi dislikes tidy spaces and will try to make a mess of anything. living in a burrow isn't really a fancy lifestyle to begin with, but sometimes there comes an occasion where addi just looks back at his makeshift home and realizes that shoot, hes being too much of a clean freak. doesn't mean hell start kicking things around, but hell begin to change how he organizes things. cleanness he doesn't really mind, its just when things are aligned too perfectly that they begin to get on his nerves.

snap on the other hand is just... snap. a shadow who had the misfortune of being an otherwise inanimate object who somehow joined the ride. clamping their jaws shut on addi's tail all because of reflex was their mistake, but hey, who could complain? while their thoughts can be a bit deadpan, they're admittedly grateful for all that addi's done for them. they show how much they love addi by reminding him of how they met, and although it may look painful, it's not. snap is a bit oblivious and childish, probably traits they got from addi, and because of that they get skittish sometimes and will lash out in anger when they don't get what they want.

once upon a time a mousetrap snapped shut on a dolls tail... and said doll never bothered to take it off? addison probably never thought much when he signed the contact with his shadow, now named snapple. he just kind of let them stay on? he does occasionally play with them and let snapple snap shut on his hands or fingers or even hair, after eventually deciding that letting his shadow grip on his tail for the rest of their lives just doesn't do. although its already strange enough that he ended up making a contract with an inanimate object, its stranger still when you see snapple trapp bouncing around with a vivacity that challenges the laws of physics. snap usually begs for attention by making loud snapping noises and actually clamps themselves shut on addi when they feel affection for him. while their relationship may seem lackluster, especially since it sprouted from addison not being committed enough to take a mousetrap off his tail, it really isn't what it seems to be. sure, addison may not show affection too much towards snapple while they only do it to addison by snapping shut on his body which would otherwise cause pain, but they do care deeply for each other like a doll and shadow should. perhaps their relationship simply isn't as apparent as most others.

drust is... a friend, and a sparring partner to addi. while she is taller than him [ and addison always loves complaining about that ] and can run faster with four legs, it doesn't mean she's better than him in any way. her unique anatomy is a reason for addis quick improvement from when he first started fencing. outside of training, both drust and addi have picked up certain habits from each other, like how drust began branding trees with the letter ‘d’ much like how addi did with the letter ‘a’ and how addi grew less childish ever since he met her. its worth noting that while he does still keep with his upbeat personality, hes already learned to respect studying and training in general more than he used to, like how he disrespected the tactics of fighting with his sword. while there are things about their relationship that addi doesn't know about, like how drust does occasionally take advantage of him behind his back, but for innocent addi, she’s simply a reliable, great friend. addi also really likes drust's shadow bricius, since he’s small and, well, cute. even if the poor shadow never seems to sit still.

to snapple however, drust is... annoying perhaps. they cant really describe why, maybe its just because addi is always outside with her and that kind of makes them feel bad for themself, while they’re always there on addi's tail they feel ignored. besides, they usually spend more time with her shadow bricius and annoying the poor mouse-shadow. they usually get by chasing him, spooking him with loud noises and pretty much trying to show affection to him in the same way they do with addi. unfortunately, these methods are... ineffective when snap uses them. bricius hardly appreciates these gestures, although he did try to get close to snap until they accidentally caught him by the tail. ever since then they’ve had quite the strained relationship, which is a shame for both the shadows and their respective dolls.

in addi's mind these two are the coolest duo ever! then again, he would never say that outright to neither neru nor v, because of how much respect they'd managed to slowly draw out of him over their many training sessions together. when near her or even talking out loud about her, he'll say aloud how much he looks up to her, instead of simply saying things like awesome and cool. her sword-fighting techniques are something he will always look forward to seeing and learning, and although her sword fits neru better than addi's fits his, as neru's shadow is said sword, addi will always try his best at fighting anyway. of course, because vengeance is a sword, addison can't really say what he thinks of it, except that he does have his fair share of respect for it too.

snapple couldn't care less about these two, to be honest. they know and are fully aware of how addison feels for the duo, but it does make them feel a bit... lacking, useless. snapple being what might look like an annoying contraption compared to this sword vengeance is, and how neru wields it with such might, it makes them feel jealous. they do out these feelings to addison, so this isn't something that strains their relationship, but with this in mind, snapple simply ignores the fact that neru is a common sight in their life. for now, anyway. hopefully this would somehow change.

gudit, being someone who occasionally assists neru in sword training, is someone that addi does look up to like he does neru, but at the same time, he wishes to also be able to view her as a friend. still, he doesn't know why he feels that when he sees gudit as far more uptight than neru. maybe he just wishes to know her better because she always goes on quests and important missions! of course, neru will always say he's not competent enough yet. then again what's wrong with hoping? for the time being, he sees gudit as a metaphor for a successful, strong sword fighter, someone worth thinking of and seeing as motivation. she's one steely reason behind his will to fight. while addi's innocent mind is obviously unaware of what she faces during her missions - he only sees them as righteous, only slightly challenging and even fun - perhaps one day it will dawn on him that even if he wants to be talented, he shouldn't strive to only be a carbon copy of gudit and mirror.

snapple actually surprisingly feels fond of gudit and mirror! perhaps it's only because of mirror being an interesting shadow who can alter themself and as such will annoy gudit sometimes when she's sword-fighting. it's a breath of fresh air for snapple trapp, to put neru and vengeance aside and see this dynamic duo in action. of course, they've never known gudit nor mirror personally, and much like addi, snapple can only watch them perform their techniques in awe and hope to one day be like them.

This little mouse boy is quite a helpful one, always trying to help out others in need. He strives to be a good person, and attempts to hide his annoying side. He's a very respectful person, often trying very hard to be polite to others might end up calling them 'madam' or 'sir'. He doesn't like taking credit for the things he does for others, and might even leave before they say thank you. While he may seem like a little do-gooder, everyone has a bad side. Timbo is extremely nosy. He often bothers others with his enthusiasm for helping out. The boy might follow someone around or pester them by asking if he can help. He might even just insist he helps and screw everything up. Due to being called intrusive and a klutz, poor Timbo has become extremely self-concious. He's always second guessing what he does and how he acts. He normally comes off as timid to other dolls due to the fact that he doesn't speak to many of them, other than to help out. Timbo just never knows what the right thing to say is, and normally ends up not speaking at all. Not to mention that he has lots of pain tolerance due to Mali... He spends a lot of time practicing fencing, as well, and has a pretty big dream: to be a hero. Although he wants to be a hero, he's pretty cowardly in the face of danger.

Mali is a manipulative little mousetrap that only really wants what's best for Timbo. Though those are their intetions, they don't really know how to convey them. They're often the one's preventing him from actually helping others out, sometimes. They urge Timbo to continue honing they fencing skills by convincing them that it'll help them with becoming a hero. In all honest, they just want him to be more courageous by helping him become a better fencer. They come up with imaginary enemies for him to fence with and shout the actions of the 'opponent'. Mali, while being a mousetrap, is actually a really good fencing coach. If Timbo preforms the wrong move, they explain his fault and tell him a better way to go about it. They can be a bit strict, though... If they really get into it, they might snap on him as punshiment. While they may seem harsh in that aspect, they actually act as a kind of danger sensor, often telling Timbo to be careful in tough spots. They always want to train, too, and can get pretty irritated if Timbo decides it's a good time to be 'Mister do-gooder' (Mali's little nickname for him).

Ｔｈｅｉｒ ｒｅｌａｔｉｏｎｓｈｉｐ

While Mali may seem a bit controlling within their relationship, (unknown to lil' old Timbo who just thinks they're looking out for him) but they're actually very close. Mali is probably the only person he's ever had a real conversation with... Even if they're a mousetrap. These two are always together, and Timbo normally just holds Mali in his hands, but sometimes they'll snap onto his clothing, or his ears. Timbo appreciates the way they look out for him, and enjoys the fencing practice the two do together. With Mali, they admire his devotion to helping others out and enjoys watching him grow and change over time. They have their ups and downs, and often bicker about what to do, but in the end they have an unbreakable bond.

Ｓｔｏｒｙ

It was quiet out, and the sun seemed to only just be rising. A cool breeze blew by and ruffled a certain mouse boy's hair. The boy shivered a little bit as he felt the cool air blow past him, but he brushed it off just as quick as he had noticed it. His shoes crunched the grass with each step he took, and his eyes were glued to the greenery filling the forest. He smiled a little bit. It was nice outside, and he felt really relaxed not doing anything for once.
'Timbo,' a familiar voice spoke out, almost echoing in his head. He looked down at the black mousetrap being held gently in his hands. 'are you going to do anything today?' they questioned, and if they could've rasied an eyebrow they would've. A small sigh escaped Timbo's lips as his took his first few steps past a couple of trees. "I might. It's still early, you know," he reminded them. He knew that Mali wanted to train today, considering that they had let him do what he wanted the other day, but this felt right. Not to mention that he liked being out with them, it calmed him down a little bit and took his mind off of the nervousness he felt around others. A tiny smile tugged at his lips. He was nearing his favorite place in the forest: a little stump accompanied by dandelions and daisies sprouting from the ground. That always soothed him, the color yellow.
As his eyes rested on his beloved tree stump he apporached it and sat, shutting his eyes. He had to admit that he was a little tired. It was pretty early in the morning, and he felt as if he could fall asleep right then and there. 'Timbo,' they spoke once more, 'this is a nice place you chose.' They seemed to mutter out the sentence, even if they couldn't speak. "Really? I go here all the time, how've you only just seen it?" He questioned, looking down in his lap at the mousetrap sitting idly there. It went silent for a long time before Timbo got a reply:
'That's besides the point. I like it here. Thank you for taking me.'
