Makinti padded along the thicky lined trees, stumbling into an abandoned pack trail. Months of walking wore out her pinks pads on the bottom of her feet. Carefully, she lept over a tree trunk, reaching a stream. Hunger filled her stomach, causing her unwillingly to bend over, scooping up a fish in an instant. She threw it ashore, eating it almost instantaniously. As she was about to finish she heard the snap of a small twig behind her, a rustle following that as though it wasnt supposed to happen. She turned around, seeing a pair of glowing yellow eyes and dark fur, more then one. Her instincts told her to fight, but she couldnt.She turned to flee the scene leaping over the Stream landing with a thud on her paws, before bolting like a flash into the woods. She glanced back over her petite shoulders, only to see the three loner brutes chasing her. She sped up, disappearing in a moments notice as the snarling began to fade. She lept over a large tree, hiding below it slightly. She figured the brutes were gone, but she was wrong.

Quickly, the brutes lept over sniffing her out instantaniously. She stood up in fright of wolves, again. Fear took over her legs as they began to shake. These three brutes snarled an nipped at her, until the middle one lept onto her, pinning her down. The first and third ones came tearing at her stomach, ripping her skin making her bleed to no extent. The middle wolf got off asthe other two ran off. "Dont run away next time... this is our forest..." The words rung in her ears as she felt the scarlet blood seep into her snowy white pelt. Her amber eyes flicked around, as she prayed for someone to find her, and soon. Wait... she didnt want to be found. But she needed to.

Makinti lay there, her eyes gazing around the forest scenery around her. She then tried focusing on the root that lay above her head, yet black spots clotted over her steady vision. White clouds seemed to turn black before anything else. The peircing blue skies also turned black, and before she knew it she drifted off into a terrible state of unconciousness, the blood seeping out like the ocean crashing upon a shore.

Koa woke up growling at the thick heat, before realizing exactly what it meant. "Wonderful, a storm." The brute said half heartedly to himself. He never liked the rain, but it was something good in the drought. He flicked his russet ears as he padded into camp watching the wolves start to awaken to the cloudly skies. His cold dark grey eyes scanned everyone carefully, still figuring out who the packs weakest link was, but it wasn't hard to tell. The omegas. They're rank was basically designed for the weak. Koa flicked off his angry thoughts as he sat basking in the sun, waiting for someone to bring moss filled with water from the river. The healer continued to gaze over his worthless pack, wondering why he was still bothering to be here before remembering just how he had a plot, a wonderful plot, to kill the alpha. He knew he would never act on it though- at least not yet.

snorting and quickly opening his eyes, the male panted, eyes worried and flashed. looking around his den, he sighed, imagining tris lying next to him. the figure of his past mate dissipated from his vision and he sighed, flattening his ears and heaving his body up from the cool earth. the brute poked his head out of the den and grumbled, seeing the sky start to turn into a dark grey color. "great. looks like the pack will be a bit grouchy today.." he mumbled to himself. padding around camp, he watched the few wolves that wandered the camp. kraygor passed each of the dens, stopping and watching them all sleep peacefully. when the alpha was finished checking up on all his pack mates, he sat down and began to groom his-self, soon after, padding to the center of camp, waiting patiently for a few more wolves to wake up before he let his howl ring through the forest.

polaris awoke, noticing the thick heat. she knew a storm was coming and hopefully it was the end of this drought. the fae stretched, yawning. she got up and licked her dry chops. maybe the omegas would wake up and finally get some moss filled with river water. she padded outside, kicking her moss bed aside. koa was already awake, but she ignored him and sat at the front of camp, near her alpha's den, waiting for him to wake up. she greeted him as he passed by her. "good morning, kraygor." she said, dipping her head respectfully.

And then the scent of blood coming into her nostrils, yet not from her, but from a former gorgeous wolf who was now stained in rose colored fur. Her eyes had no sight longer within them, but an unchanging gaze that would remain forever was placed onto the she-wolf. Evayla's eyes flickered open quickly, as her breaths grew longer and heavy for a moment, but she looked around at the sleeping bodies beside her, and calmed down soon enough. That cannot be my mother, she has to be alive, she just has to, and one day I will find her and show her how strong I have become, Evayla thought to herself, and sat up tiredly. She then stood and, with quiet black claws tapping along the ground, walked outside of the den. Her eyes soon shifted from the entrance to the dull sky before her, making the fae's nose sniff a recognized scent. It will storm today, though I wonder what Kraygor has planned.

He caught one of them by the ears and dragged it into the ground, instantly making it limp. He then began to walk back to the pack when he heard his Alpha's howl. I suppose I don't want to miss anything important, the brute thought.

As the sky above turned gray, Hummingbird's ears perked forward to listen for the rumbling thunder in the distance. To her disappointment, she heard none and her turned her gaze down to the pack's common grounds below her. She'd taken it upon herself to take an early morning look out, just as she does every morning. She wakes just before dawn, about two hours before the sun rises and kept a silent vigil to watch for enemies danger. As she'd woken this morning, she'd seen Evayla heading in to sleep and so she took on her duties of guarding as she did. It was another peaceful morning thankfully and she stood from her sitting position and shook out her fur before she moved to jump down from the high rock she'd been sitting on. Just as she was headed down to the ground, the Alpha's howl rang out through the camp grounds and she quickly walked down the rock ledge to the ground floor of the camp and sat near the edge of the center facing the alpha.

Being she knew most the others in the pack found her presence to be uncomfortable, she preceded to stay away from them as well. Her past had taught her well that it was best she was alone. Everywhere she went death followed to consume all she loved. Hummingbird didn't want that to ever happen again so she planned on protecting the pack with all her might but she feared - yet understood - that a mate and a family were only distant dreams that she could never have. The scars over her right eye seemed to burn again as she thought this, reminding her of the loved ones she'd lost just for her own skin it seemed.

the brute looked over to polaris when she spoke to him. he stood up square and glanced over at his beta and gave a curt nod to her. "polaris.. i'm about to send out a hunting party. i'd like you to go along with some others. i'll make out who else is going later." he said straightly to her before padding away to a little mound near the edge of camp. he let his head back and let out a loud, beautiful howl. "good morning my pack. i know it is going to rain as most of you had figured out already by the scent. but i am going to send out a small hunting party. polaris will go, along with litoast, faolan, and zoria." kraygor said loudly, so everyone could hear him clearly. glancing up at the sky, he then stated, "i will also send out a patrol once the storm has passed. i will go along with an omega of my choosing." his eyes were narrowed at the two omegas. yes, they were the lowest rank, but he wanted them to do something other than sit around like a bunch of logs. "while i am gone, polaris will be in charge. we will be no longer than half a day." the brute finished up, jumping down and padding over to his den, head low and tail level with his spine.
