Born to the beautiful Cloudface who died in kitting, this apprentice was one of the two kits in his litter. His sister, Laurelkit, had been weak and runty from the start, and passed away from a cough before she reached her first moon, and therefore Swankit, the survivor, was raised by another queen in the nursery. It became apparent that Swankit was deaf after he wasn't responding to other cats' calls, and therefore the kitten was taught the sign language of the Clan as soon as he was old enough; he now uses this sign language as his main means of communication.The moons flew by and he was soon known as Swanpaw, the new apprentice... though unfortunately, the fire swept through the Clan a mere six moons later, and he was left stranded with the remaining cats, doing his best to prove his worth.

Now at twelve moons old, Swanpaw proves himself to be both intelligent and inquisitive, with a thirst for knowledge and a desire to aid others. The tom is very subtle to change and can sense the slightest shifts in the atmosphere around him, and due to this he can read other cats' emotions very easily by simply looking at their faces. He can tell when others are lying to him, and therefore wears his heart on his sleeve, so to speak, and is not afraid of voicing his opinions. However, like every cat Swanpaw does have his flaws; he is rather impatient and can be brash at times, and his fierce temper is not one to be trifled with when he's driven to the end of his 'rope'.
Not many cats know of Swanpaw's self-esteem issues, for this is the one secret the white tom keeps quiet. He is privately afraid that he will one day end up useless to the group because of his deafness, and this hidden fear is one of the main motivations that drive him forward to help out.

Swanpaw does his best not to let his deafness hamper him, otherwise. Due to his deafness, his other senses are sharper than ever, especially his senses of smell and sight. He is quite terrible at fighting, however; aside from having the constant feeling of being overwhelmed in battle, he also, evidently, cannot hear warnings nor cats sneaking up behind him. Swanpaw isn't particularly agile due to his large size, either, but his hunting is fairly good, though it isn't particularly remarkable.

hey guys! all of the forms are coming along really well!
just to be sure that this roleplay makes it and such, i would like the forms in/completed by sunday at the latest.
i understand life and school and all the things keeping you all busy, but im super excited for this to start, and in order to do so we need all of the spots filled. keep in mind there is one spot open still. i would be willing to give one of you a second cat if youre sure you could handle two at once.
