"Cat...Recruit...Forest..." Beartalon shook his head. What was that? He wondered, looking around to find the source of the whispering. Look at yourself, Beartalon, you're driving yourself mad with worry. The large tom shook off his odd thoughts and snuggled next to Stallioncry. "I'm just glad you're alright."

"Are you okay?" Stallioncry asked. He put his paw on the big tom's.

Firepelt way lying up in a tree. His tail trailed down as he watched the eager apprentice. He slid down the trunk. He was visible to this apprentice. His fiery coat glowed in the sunlight. "Hello, Flightpaw," he purred, making himself as nice as possible. He needed to convince this she-cat that he was safe to be around. This is going to be the hardest thing I've ever done.

Beartalon chuckled, giving Stallioncry a lick on the forehead. "Yeah, I'm just hearing things." He mewed, and quickly added, "Nothing to worry about." "This...Hardest...Done..." The large brown tom growled.

Flightpaw tilted her head. There was something surreal about the way the he looked. "Y-you're a StarClan cat!" she mewed in surprise.

Stallioncry gave a dry, raspy chuckle. "You must be getting old." He leaned forward and licked the big tom's nose.

Beartalon chuckled, resting his head on Stallioncry's paws. "Not any older than you, mousebrain!" He mewed lovingly. The whispering in his head grew louder, with more different voices. Still, it was only background noise. Come on, Beartalon, ignore it. He willed himself. "Do you need anything else?" He asked his Clanmate, hoping to make himself busy to forget the whispers.

Firepelt nearly growled at the mention of Starclan, but he held it back and replaced it with a smile. "You're a smart one," he meowed, inspecting the she-cat. "Do you know who I am and why I came to you?" I need to instill a false prophecy in her weak little mind, he thought. Then she'll be on my side. I'll be unstoppable. He curled his tail, making himself seem calm, wise, and nice.

Stallioncry shook his head. "Come closer, I'm cold," he mewled. The large tom was shivering in fact.

Flightpaw crouched down, bowing her head in respect. "I've never met a StarClan cat! Have I done something wrong? Am I dying?" she fretted.

Firepelt chuckled and shook his head. "No, no, of course not. I am Flamestep, warrior of Starclan," he forced the words out. He was claiming to be his brother. "I have come with a warning. You cannot trust your leader or your elders. Waspfur is a great threat to the clan's safety," he meowed. "His frailness is only an act. He's plotting against the clans with the rogues on the territory. You need to lure him out of camp and get rid of him. If you do not, rogues will invade the camp in two days time." Might as well get her to do my dirty work. "And do not warn the clan or tell anyone. Get the job done, then return here. I will tell you what what will happen next afterwards. Those 'claws' were Waspfur's." He lied. He didn't know anything about her vision. He was only saying that because she said she saw claws. If she didn't get rid of his son, Firepelt would order the rogues to invade the camp.

It's up to you on whether or not she does it. Waspfur is just an extra for me. I'll go with whatever happens )

Waspfur sat outside the elders den, basking in the sun's warmth. His thoughts raced. There has been some unsettling in his heart and mind. There was a very faint, sickeningly familiar scent. Firepelt, he growled. How is he here? The dead tom's only living kin was him and Redstar. His claws kneaded the ground, unsettled.
