Futo glanced at him. "Indeed, I do enjoy eating fruit. Hoh, is that so? Quite interesting!" She found it interesting that Yoshi's species only ate fruit, since so many of the creatures that lived in Gensokyo ate humans, and it was refreshing to her. She nodded at his question. "Forsooth! I do indeed possess abilities capable of being called 'special'. They have been referred to as a manipulation of feng sui, the balance of energy in the surroundings. But mine capabilities are also the way of the Tao and the art of the Mononobe. In simpler words... they be 'fire, water and wind magic'. Doth thou have such things in the Kingdom thou hails from?" She hoped that she didn't confuse him, that did often had that happen to her.

Yoshi smiled when Futo said that she did enjoy eating fruit though he had assumed that human-like creatures all ate fruit as well as meat or at least that was how it was back home. As she began to speak of the abilities she had, he cocked his head slightly as she explained. So she could control wind, fire, and water? How interesting. "Well, back home there are special items that I can use to trigger some of the special abilities I have. There is a pepper that I can eat that enhances my speed and allows me to run straight up walls, a mushroom that allows my body to light up dark areas, and there's a fruit called the blimp fruit that allows me to basically become a balloon and fly threw the air," he explained. It was a shame none of those abilities would be possibly here, but they had been handy on his adventures with Mario back home. "As for what I can do without those, well this may sound strange, but I can use my extra long tongue to turn enemies into eggs and use those eggs when needed, though they can break out of them if they're strong enough. That is really the only thing special about me, though I can jump higher than humans and flutter in the air for a short period of time and I move a bit faster as well."

Waylon had a confused look on his face...as always. "Excuse me..what is a husktop?" He had a feeling what it might be, but he wanted to make sure."Ah yes, finding more people would be wise."

"If I have to hunt, I hunt, though I do indulge myself in the humans foods as well since back home it is much easier to get human food than hunt. Damn humans killed so much of the wildlife for themselves. No wonder the world is slowly coming to an end," Hige grunted. It always annoyed him how the humans had destroyed a lot of the terrain back home. No wonder if was almost always dark and dingy. "Do you not hunt?" The wolf cocked his head slightly, finding it a little strange that Seth might have never hunted. He supposed that it was much different where he was from.

Seth shook his head.
"No, we just buy all the food we need." He explained. "And I live in a big city, so there is no where to hunt, unless we traveled a few hours out to the country." Seth didn't say that gunshots hurt his ears, or that he couldn't stand to see an animal hurt, or that he couldn't stand to hurt anything.

Hige nodded slightly as he listened to Seth explain why he didn't hunt. It made sense. He never had stayed more than a couple of days in a town or city so hunting was his only option back homing otherwise he'd die. "That makes sense. I've been in and out of cities across my homeland, but my pack travels in search of paradise so hunting is a must for use in order to survive. Plus it's in our nature to be hunters," he said. If Seth wasn't comfortable with him hunting he would respect that and not hunt, though he knew that meant he would have to find some village to get food from, specifically some meat or bread. Fruits and vegetables never went over well with him and it wasn't something wolves ever ate.

Seth nodded.
"Where is your homeland?" He finally asked. "It sounds... Apocalyptic." Seth frowned. "As far as I know wolves still exist near where I live. It's illegal to kill them unless its in self defense. But they can't turn into humans there, either."

"Well my homeland is Earth? It probably is a very different one than what you live on though since it seems we come from very different places. The only reason my pack was searching for paradise was because the end was coming and the legend says only the wolves can open paradise with help from the flower maiden," Hige said. He could tell the life he lived was far different than what Seth lived.

Futo listened carefully to what he was saying. "There are peculiar items that has special abilities where I reside, as well. Methinks they do not sound as useful as thine fruit powers." She found it interesting how they affected Yoshi's body in different ways; that was not something she had experienced before. "Strange?" She laughed, "Nary a thing sounds quite so strange as the situation we hath found ourselves in! But, thou dost flutter in the air? Is this akin to flying for a short period of time? Many, including mineself, can fly, float, or what-have-you, where I come from." Although it sounded as if Yoshi's abilities, at least, some of them, wouldn't be so useful where he didn't have access to eating anything, it was still interesting to her that he had such different powers, many of which were very different from what she was used to.

"Yeah, it's like flying for a short period of time," Yoshi responded. Of course he couldn't stay airborne for too long, but it was still better than not being able to stay in the air. It always helped him to help Mario cross areas that would otherwise be impossible for a human. "There are more items back home that do offer powers to whomever uses them as well, but I've never tried any of them. But there is one I forgot to mention. It's a very rare item that doesn't even have a name, but it allows me to sprout wings and breathe fire for a short period of time. It's probably my most dangerous form of them all." The dino had only been able to go into this form a few times before, but he still remembered the amount of power he possessed while in it and it was nothing like what he could do in his natural state. His species was a rather gentle and peaceful kind to begin with.
