cheetahpaw looked up at the shecat. "Thank you, Sparrowwing.... I appreciate your vote of confidence..." she angled her ears back, sighing with a heavy heart.

DappleStorm entered the leader's den, "I was wondering, when would you like us to leave?"

Sparrowwing nodded "If you need anything just let me know ok?"

Pinestar thought a moment "As soon as Cheetapaw is ready"

Cheetahpaw dipped her head. "Thank you, Sparrowwing..." she sighed, twitching her ears. After her beloved mentor's burial, she knew, she'd have to make the journey, to recieve her name... Her paws ached at the thought, and she sighed wearily.

Sparrowwing nodded and stepped back going to the warriors den to rest and let the medicine cat have some time to herself

Cheetahpaw sighed, curling up tight in the space beside her mentor's body, not sleeping, but drawing in the comforting scent one last time, tinged by the bitter taste and scent of death that not even lavender could mask.

Gentlepaw sighed and got up placing her tail on Cheetahpaw's shoulder for comfort. SHe knew this much mean alot to her,"Im so sorry.."

Duskkit looked out from the nursery at all the cats gathering around FallingFeather. "What are they doing? What happened to Fallingfeather?" She asked. Duskkit wasn't sure why they were all crowding around the medicine cat or why Fallingfeather was lying on the ground.

Silverkit stared at FallingFeather. He was old enough to know about death. That's what they were keeping me from seeing. He thought to himself.
