Sunbean

She leaps again almost letting the bird go. But she managed to hook her claws into it's wing and pull it to the ground. red blood stained the white snow. She sank her teeth into it's throat and quickly kicked snow over the spot where the blood was. Blood attracted predators that were starving and would fight. And that was the last thing she wanted in such a cold season. She walked back to the bump in the snow and sat down. She began licking her ice cold paw pads trying to warm them up.

Darkstar

He feels her neck against his chest fur. "Oh yes I know. The little balls of fluff kept me up all night. "Daddy daddy look a beetle!" He gasps. "Oh my starclan I was thinking if maybe they could just go to sleep for once." He meows. "But I love them so much. You are a great mother to them and I couldn't ask for a better mate." He whispers licking the back of her neck smoothing down some of the fur on her scruff. "Go back to sleep it is still morning. We can do whatever you want later my dear but I want you to get enough rest.

The jet-black she-cat briskly shook her head as the apprentice offered her prey. "That prey is strictly for Darkstar, Webgaze, and the queens, kits, and elders. I'm fine," she replied, her ice blue eyes glazing up at the sight and alluring aroma of the vole. "New-leaf isn't too far off—I've been keeping a diet of berries and snow throughout leaf-bare and I've been doing well." Her tail curled around her hind leg as she glanced up at the taller apprentice, shifting her gaze toward Brightpaw. Her heart leapt into her throat at the sight of the she-cat, but she remained idle as she shifted from side to side to retain some body heat.

blu shook his head. He hasn't eaten yesterday either. He just had a lot of things to do, but he didn't seem that hungry. "ah, well no. I just had a lot on my paws there wasnt any time for eating." the tall tom chuckled.

Brightpaw

"Are you sure?" She asks. She had eaten a few days ago and she felt as if her ribs would pop right out of her skin. She looked whistfully over at the prey pile but then her gaze snapped back to Blu. "Can I help you with sorting herbs or finding them in the snow? I heard some even grow through leafbare." She explains. She had heard this once. "I'm really afraid that someone might get sick this leafbare."

blu chuckled and nodded, "that is true but their still hard to find depending on how high the snow is, and I'm sure your mentor wouldn't have a problem with you helping me out for a while." he smiled looking down at the she cat.

Jaywing--> tom ~ 18 moons ~ warrior ~ forest - Hunting patrol
Jaywing managed to find some prey after a while. He spotted 3 birds, some rabbit prints in the snow and 4 mice. But he only managed to catch 2 birds and 2 mice. After he had caught the first two birds he was already tired and had no energy to chase the third one. The two birds he caught were ok but not plump as they were in new-leaf. The 2 mice he caught were scrawny but the'll have to do. Jaywing sighed and looked at the four peaces of prey, he was mad that he wasn't able to catch more but four peaces of prey were better than usual. His paw pads were killing him and his belly fur was wet and turning into pieces of ice. Jaywing picked up his prey and padded to the spot where he last seen Sunbeam and then followed her scent back to where she buried the prey. "Hey Sunny." he said putting down the prey. He sat down close to her so their flanks were touching trying to warm up. "I see you did good today." he said observing her catch. "This is more then we caught for the past couple of days together.
Darkfeather --> tom ~ 36 moons ~ warrior ~ forest - Hunting patrol
Darkfeather padded back to the two cats with two voles and a skinny rabbit. He put it on the ground and sighed. He was exhausted and buy the looks of it his two clanmates were too. "The rabbits seem to be getting hungry too and risking running around more.. but fox-dung they are still fast." he said remembering how the rabbit almost got away from him when he tried to run after it in the deep snow. Jaywing nodded. "Yeh, but we still did good. We should go back and save some of the energy that we still have so we don't get green cough, that's the last thing we need." Darkfeather agreed and picked up his prey and so did Jaywing. "The clan will eat better than in a few days that's for sure." the grey tom added and followed Jaywing back towards camp.
Blueshade --> she-cat ~ 36 moons ~ warrior ~ leaders den - Darkstar
Blueshade smiled and licked his cheek again, "Yeh.. well despite being a bit unexpected I hope they will grow up in fine warriors.. " she said remembering how socked she was when she found out that she was expecting kits. And more how scared she was.. she never really planed on having them and she knew more work would fall on her because she wasn't about to give Darkstar more worry and work. But everything turned out alright and she was happy. "I do love them, but if they'll be doing mischief I will claw their ears." she said with a smiled and put her paw over Darkstars ear. "Well you are quite a mate yourself you know." she added with a purr. Then she slid her paw across his eyes and muzzle and put it back down on the nest. "You sleepy head.. don't worry about me so much, I know when I need rest and right now I feel like I need to check on our kits and the other cats." she said but still not getting up enjoying their moment. "In this weather we probably can't do much but try to hunt,.. so we can cuddle and talk more later."

Asterlight glared at the two cats and decided then to leave Creampaw and the deputy in her tracks, and she stalked out of the snow-capped clearing into the frigid tundra. The she-cat's dark fur contrasted highly as opposed the alabaster landscape, her ears perked and whiskers twitching. She caught sight of a small mouse nibbling on some berries, a sudden hunger overcoming her as she stalked the brown-furred creature before dispatching it with the single motion of a fore-paw. She gazed around to make sure none of her Clanmates were nearby before sinking her sharp teeth into the rodent, finishing it off with a few quick nibbles before burying the bones. Licking her chops, the sable she-cat skittered up a sycamore before laying down upon a barren branch.

Creampaw --> she-cat ~ 8 moons ~ apprentice ~ camp - Asterlight
Creampaw let out a growl, "Fine? Fine? You are not fine Asterlight!" Creampaw said, this was her.. she might seem harsh and cold but she cared about her clanmates and didn't care if this cat was older she just knew it wasn't right. "You should have a look at yourself.. you are the skinniest cat in the clan.. and Darkstar is plump enough and wouldn't mind. We need strong warriors, what would happen if we lost you and have even less paws working hard?" she said but then felt a paw on her back. She turned around and saw it was Webgaze.
Webgaze --> tom ~ 98 moons ~ deputy ~ camp -Creampaw, Asterlight
"It's ok Creampaw, calm down." the deputy said and moved his paw and then looked at Asterlight. "I'm sorry about her outburst and I'm sure she is too..," he said and looked at the apprentice and Creampaw moved her gaze to an empty spot of the camp hear ears back. Webgaze looked back at the warrior, "But she is right.. and you should eat that, and that's an order." he said and lashed his tail.

Brightpaw

She nods slowly. "One more question, is it hard to remember so many herbs?" She asks tilting her head slightly to the side. She began digging at a patch of dirt that wasn't fully frozen yet. She pushed the pieces of ice into the hole and covered the hole back up again. "Oh and one more. Is it possible to find warm water? It could help with warming up cats who are cold they could soak their paws in it to get the ice off their pads.

Darkstar

He smiled then gave a very over exaggerated yawn. His head flopped back down onto the moss. "If you will excuse me dear I think I might just sleep. Until newleaf." He purrs opening one eye. He then gently pushed her head into the moss. "No you are the better mate!" He purrs lifting his paw. He gave another very obnoxious yawn that ended in a laugh. He was happy, he was almost always at her side and he was afraid to leave her. Not that he didn;t trust her to do stuff on her own it was just that he was really worried. She meant the world to him.

Sunbeam

She picks up her prey and got to her paws. She tries to smile as she walks back but the rabbit began to drag in the snow. It felt as if sharp ice was being driven deeper into her paw pads every time she took a step in the snow. But she didn't show that it bothered her. She walked back into the cave and dropped her prey. Then she noticed there actually was an ice shard in one of her paws. She pulled it out wincing at the pain. Then she tried to warm up her paws. Her belly growled but she didn't want to eat yet. She walked to the very back of the cave and shook out her for, it was as if she had her own personal snow storm. She smiles already feeling warmer. Her paws felt bad though so she began licking each one in turn not wanting the pads to freeze over. She had learned the hard way that that really hurt!

blu chuckled , "well, sometimes it is. And its impossible to find warm water in bare-leaf. The best thing to do is lick the ice of their paw pads with their warm tongue. " he purred shaking a bit as it got colder.
