On the Inside Out
Appearance- Chestnutshade is a dark ginger Bengal Tom, with unique aqua eyes.
Personality- He is a generally friendly cat, who is very hospital towards his patients. However, he is a perfectionist when it comes to his job, and never lets another cat touch his own work. Even with his Apprentice he is very picky about what they should be able to do, limiting them to minor injuries or Whitecough. He is also very independent and never accepts another cat's offer to help. No one could be quite sure what triggered this trait. It might be because he isn't a very good cat to collaborate with, or he doesn't want to give up his pride.
History- Chestnutshade had a basic Clan life. He was raised by his mother, and a step-father. He was a one-kit litter, and was quite happy that way when he heard he other litters bickering, and telling him how lucky he was to have no siblings. He also had always had a fascination for the life of a Medicine Cat. Often his parents would find him watching the Medicine Cat make poultices, and offer help every few minutes. He was Apprenticed to the Medicine Cat when he was 6 moons, and the other Apprentices were becoming Warrior Apprentices. He lost a lot of his friends when he became a Medicine Cat Apprentice, because he had to focus on his Medicine Cat duties. He never felt lonely, though. He always had his mentor by his side, who he considered family. He was deeply saddened by his Mentor's death, who died when he was around 20 moons old. When he was officially made Medicine Cat, he instantly started looking for an Apprentice of his own. He found Ravenpaw after a few moons, who reminded him of a younger him. He knew Ravenpaw was dedicated to being a Medicine Cat, and that he was the best choice to bring into his Medicine Cat family, so he offered the spot of a Medicine Cat Apprentice to him. Ever since, he's been working hard with Ravenpaw's skills, still seeming to carry his independent perfectionist habit.
