Oakenkit stretched in the den and looked up. She squinted at all of the light in the den, and padded out of the nursery and into the main part of camp. She remembered that in one moon she would be an apprentice " I just can't wait!" the ginger she-kit declared.

"hmm. Go to the sun drown place to fish? Its obviously within our territory so we can reach there on a small period of time? Unless the dawn patrol have gone there too but I'm guessing they went to a lake nearby the entrance of a shallow forest to hunt instead." Clideclaw was so excited to go stretch his legs for the first time today. He had been so lazy in his mossy den translating the energy into fat in his stomach.

"Sounds like a good idea. But should we try the beach first? I'm not sure why but I'd love to get some fresh air down there." Smokefeather replied - the fresh air at the beach had a refreshing salty feel to it.

Swallowpaw saw Smokefeather and Clideclaw talking about going fishing. She eventually worked up the courage to approach them "I love the beach, would it be alright if I went with you?" she anxiously said. Truthfully she had been dying to go out all morning but had not been chosen for the dawn patrol, and she didn't know where her mentor Cleareyes had gone.

Smokefeather was startled by Swallowpaw's voice. She turned around to face him, and prepared to reply to his request. "If Clideclaw is okay with it, you can. You've obtained my 'okay' to travel to the beach with us. Plus, who doesn't love the beach?" Smokefeather hoped it was okay with Clideclaw; she didn't want to upset the young tom's feelings by rejecting him.

Swallowpaw heard the uncertainty in Clideclaw's voice. "It is." she told him, hoping he wouldn't be think she was being rude. Swallowpaw was certain she could find the beach in the darkest hours of night, if not by sight, by scent. The salt would fill the air every time she approached the beach, guiding her to it's waters. "Should we go now?" she asked, eager to leave.

"What's in it for you is maybe not getting in as much trouble as you are now! Wen need to get moving. Emberpaw, please, can you just stay quiet and keep a look out for foxes?" Ashenthroat told him angrily. She was focused on Emberpaw, so she didn't notice the scent of fox on the breeze.
