Charlie looked up at the boat, instinctively diving deeper. She looked over at Lydia. "Yeah, a boat that small won't draw too much attention. We ought to wait until it's near a sandbar, or rocks or something," she suggested. "I mean...if that's alright." She didn't want to seem bossy around the queen. She hoped the rest of the tribe would catch up soon. She hadn't seen Maya or Claire this morning, but she understood that everyone liked their alone time.

Ekene slid into the water as well, turning away from the shore and diving. She shot forward to get to deeper waters, then slowed, glancing back to make sure Talia was with her. She knew plenty of spots to get shark's teeth, but today, she thought it'd be worth her time to look for human artifacts.

"I was nine," she explained. "I..." She took a deep breath. "I think they were sirens...I'm not crazy, I swear...they sink ships. They're incredibly dangerous." She looked over at Sam. "I understand if you think I'm crazy?"

Luna lay on the beach, her hands clasped and resting on her stomach. She stared into space, her blue hair sprawled around her as her silver eyes scanned the sky. She swayed her tail slightly as it lay submerged in the salt water. She picked out clouds and gave them images, similar to what she did as a child. It's not like she had anything better to do. She sighed and rolled onto her stomach, letting her thoughts drift on a raft through the sea of her mind.

"Uh, that's a good question... I actually don't know. hehe," Claire tried to giggled a little bit, but utterly failed. Claire looked down to the water and thought of something to say. She then brought her head up to meet Maya's eyes and gathered up the guts to say: "you can come with me if you want..." she said a little cautiously. Claire tried to focus on keeping herself afloat with her tail.

Lydia nodded in agreement with Charlotte's suggestion. "Good idea. They're heading twards a sandbar now, so when they get hung up on it, we'll just rock it a bit and it'll be simple enough to sink." She turned her eyes to the small boat approaching the sandbar, and its eventual doom.

"Sirens? As in, the Greek myth? That's not crazy, it's cool! A bit scary, yes, but still amazing. We're almost to where I think the singing was coming from."Samuel replied, paddling the boat on. Suddenly the boat gave a shutter, and stopped. "What? I think it's caught on something!" He tried to row harder, but the boat remained stuck.

Maya smiled brightly, "Really? Sure!" She replied, maybe a bit too excited. She flicked her tail and used her arms to help her tread the water as she smiled warmly at Claire.

Bobbie nodded with a smile, 'True - and they are quite fun to sink as well.' She said with a relatively playful smile as she broke into an Oyster, placing it on the rocky shore as the seal pup waddled back over. She the cracked open a clam for herself. She turned her head to Juliana when she arrived with a smile, 'Good Morning. Take how ever many you would like.' She said politely as she offered the net of shell fish to Juliana.

As the boat struck the sandbar, Charlie's eyes widened in excitement. She turned to Lydia.

"Can we sing?" she pleaded, hovering above the seafloor. "Please, Lydia. Can we sing to them?"

Judith swam speedily, she was returning from a trip south to help a tribe in the Amazon and had been resting with multiple tribes on her way back, but now she was on her final leg back to the L.C Tribe, with intention to settle. She sang, in hopes that one of the other members would hear her as she needed to speak to Ekene to make the arrangements.

Xemara nodded at Lydia's plan. “Sound's like a plan." Xemara said watching the boat out of their corner of her eye. When it hit the sand bar finally, Xemara glanced at Lydia to see what they should do now. As Charlotte began to ask Lydia if they could sing, Xemara realized she wanted to sing too. “Yeah, can we Lydia?" Xemara asked hopefully.

Lydia grinned slightly when the small boat hit the sandbar, and when her tribe mates began asking to sing, she nodded. "Yes, let's." She took a deep breath and began, in a sweet, light soprano. Come seek us where our voices sound..

Samuel put the oars down and went to the bow. "Yup, I think it is a sandbar. Maybe if we rock the boat, it'll loosen..." He was stopped abruptly by an almost angelic sounding song coming up from the nearby water. He could do nothing but stare at the spot, and couldn't hardly get a thought out, much less a word.

Charlie let her voice mix with Lydia's, swimming slowly around to the other side of the boat. She then let her voice move into its own song. She let her head break the surface. She spotted a human boy, and began to sing to him. She sung of his wildest hopes and dreams. Her song was one of unimaginable joy. She was caught in the song, but didn't care. He'd jump overboard soon enough.

Ekene heard a burst of music. It wasn't Constella, and it wasn't Rebekah. She shot forward. Talia would understand why she'd shot off so fast. Another mermaid was a big deal. She wondered if it was a metaskaza. Taking in a newly formed mermaid would be a big event, and the thought made Ekene respond with her own burst of joyous trills. She loved coaching and helping younger mermaids.

She saw Judith and swam up to her. "Hello there. I am Ekene, queen of this tribe," she said, holding her head high and being sure to show off her tail. "How can I assist you?"

The music immediately drove Annabelle to the side of the boat. She stared down, smiling widely. There they were! The sirens! She didn't even stop to think of how much danger she was in. She needed the song, she needed to hear more of it. She needed the joy it spoke of. She jumped into the water, swimming towards the sirens.
